Notes: The Zorx 1U CV Bus is an 84 HP 4 - 1 x 4 or 2 - 1 X 8 buffered mult with attenuation/attenuverting on each output for use with audio and CV signals.

There are four channels, each with four dedicated outputs, separated into groups of four. 4X4X4. Input a signal into any channel and use that channel's outputs to spread the input signal throughout your rig. With outputs spread out in this manner, it inspires creative modulation and patching.

Channel 1's input is normalled into Channel 2's input for use as a 1x8 mult. Likewise, Channel 3's input is normalled into Channel 4's input for use as a 1x8 mult. When nothing is patched into Channels 1 and 3,+5V is fed into each input for use as an offset throughout their respective channels with a peak to peak voltage of -5V to +5V available at each output.

Each output has attenuator/attenuverter potentiometer control. Center position is off - no signal at the output. These outputs are buffered so that with one input you can have four separate and different variations of the input signal at each of its corresponding outputs.

See-thru colour coded LED indicators denote which channel an output belongs to for easy maneuvering during live performance and in dimly lit situations, and there are also numbered dots below each potentiometer that denote that as well.

The Zorx 1U CV Bus uses +12V 90 mA and -12V 90mA, and doesn't need a +5V rail to operate. It has a depth of 27mm. The faceplate is black matte with copper.

The 20 HP Zorx SILENCER 1U CV BUS Expander is also available to buddy up with the 1U CV Bus.

The Zorx 1U SILENCER is a clickless 20 HP 4 channel performance silencing module that lets you manually switch each channel on and off, thereby muting it, with latching or momentarily capabilities. There is also a MIX OUT that sums all of the SILENCER's outputs into a single mono output. A connector cable [included] can be connected from the rear of the Zorx 1U CV Bus to the rear of the SILENCER which will take the last four outputs of the Zorx 1U CV Bus and duplicate them, normalling them to the corresponding inputs of the SILENCER. This normalization can be overridden by patching an input into each channel so that the SILENCER can act on its own or in tandem with the Zorx 1U CV Bus, or a combination of the two. Illuminated numbered dots correspond to the 4 channels of the 1U CV Bus for easy recognition.

The SILENCER can be used as a 4-channel on/off/(on) performance switch, a 4-channel audio or CV mixer, or a combination of the two while having control of which channels you want in the final mix.

The SILENCER consumes +12V 40mA and -12V 40mA and has a depth of 40mm.

Notes: The Zoom H4n EXT is a 4-channel portable recorder with up to 32 GB memory card capacity and high-definition 24bit/96kHz audio recording. Its onboard X/Y stereo condenser mics are arranged with the right and left mics on the same axis. This design ensures that the mics are always an equal distance from the sound source for perfect localization without phase shifting. Frequency response remains uniform throughout your recording. Custom designed, onboard X/Y stereo condenser mics allow variable recording patterns at either 90- or 120-. The H4n uses compact SD or high-capacity SDHC memory cards of up to 32GB. Unlike other media such as tape or discs, SD cards produce no mechanical noise, are not disturbed by vibrations and are readily available for your convenience. The new, digitally controlled, high-quality preamplifier renders audio so precisely, you'll sound like you recorded in a world-class studio. And this new preamp means you can make recording level adjustments on the fly. Of course, an automatic level setting function is also built in to optimize the level quickly as the situation requires.

Learning new songs is now a breeze with the H4n's adjustable playback speed that ranges from 50 to 150 percent, while keeping pitch the same. This is also a great feature for learning a language, conference recording, and various electronic news gathering (ENG) situations. With its low-cut filter, the H4n effectively reduces unwanted background noise like wind or air-conditioning noise. A variety of compressors and limiters help to optimize the dynamic range while preventing distortion.

For situations where you require maximized, continuous recording operation you can select stamina mode which effectively doubles battery life, letting you record continuously for about 11 hours in 16-bit/44.1-kHz linear PCM format. The H4n is the only handheld recorder that features built-in combination XLR/Phone connectors with phantom voltage source capability. With its Hi-Z inputs, you can record guitars or other line output sources such as mixing consoles. A separate external mic input supports plug-in power microphones.

Proper miking is essential to making a great recording. The H4n is the only handheld recorder that allows recording on four channels simultaneously by using your own external mics with its onboard mics. Use its built-in mixer to blend the channels for perfectly balanced recordings of extraordinary depth and clarity. You can set your H4n to automatically record whenever sound above your designated level is detected. This ensures that you capture everything of importance while minimizing blank sections such as when recording a conference or lecture.

The H4n can also be set to continuously record the most recent two seconds of audio in memory. Now, you never miss the beginning of anything you want to record, even when it begins suddenly. Even without external software, you can divide a recorded file at any desired point, right on the H4n. A built-in normalizing feature lets you optimize the volume level, and you can convert WAV files into MP3 directly on the unit as well.

You can choose between single-song playback, single-song repeat, all-songs playback, or all-songs repeat. This is great when you want to use the H4n as a personal trainer for learning new music. A-B repeat even lets you zoom in on a specified section of a song. The H4n supports Broadcast Wave Format (BWF) used in broadcasting and other professional A/V applications. Recorded files carry time stamp information and you can set markers (cue points) during recording or playback.

A stereo input signal can be mixed down to mono to reduce unwanted sound source position shifts between right and left channels. This is ideal for recording interviews.
The built-in M/S stereo decoder allows the use of an external Mid-Side microphone setups. The H4n converts the mid and side channel signals into a conventional stereo (L/R) signal for even more versatility, and it's only found on the H4n.

The MTR mode allows simultaneous 2-track recording and 4-track playback. With this feature, creating songs by overdubbing vocals and instruments is a snap. Level and panning can be adjusted individually for each track on the built-in mixer, and you can even do a mixdown right on the H4n.

*In the MTR mode, the recording format is fixed to 16-bit/44.1kHz WAV files.

The TAC-8 provides a wide variety of both analog and digital connectors. Eight front panel combo XLR/TRS inputs accept mic- and line-level signals. Inputs 1 and 2 can also accept instrument-level signal from guitars and basses. Dedicated input gain controls and Clip LED's make it easy to set optimum input levels, and the selectable multi-channel Phantom Power feature allows for the use of condenser microphones.

Dual balanced analog TRS output jacks enable you to connect the TAC-8 to amplifiers or self-powered speakers, and there are also 8 discrete balanced TRS analog line outputs for multichannel monitoring or connection to external effects devices.

Built-in Word Clock allows for syncing between devices, and MIDI In/Out allow electronic keyboards, sequencers, and drum machines to be connected through the TAC-8. In standalone mode, the TAC-8 can be used as an 8-channel mic preamp and analog-to-digital or digital-to-analog converter without being connected to a computer.

The TAC-8 performs 4-times upsampling during both analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog conversion. In other words, when the sampling frequency is set to 44.1kHz or 48kHz, the TAC-8 processes the signal at high resolution 176.4kHz or 192kHz respectively. For A/D conversion, this means less aliasing noise; for D/A conversion, this means increased clarity and fidelity.

TAC-8 MixEfx is a free Macintosh application designed specially by Zoom for the TAC-8. It provides a comprehensive onscreen mixer, with independent level, phase reversal, and panning control for each channel. TAC-8 MixEfx also allows you to freely route all inputs to all outputs and to create custom mixes for each pair of outputs. In addition, a variety of reverb and echo effects can be used as a send/return effect. Complete mixes can then be stored in three different memory slots, allowing instant total recall.

Creativity can be realised anywhere: Thanks to the battery power, all reface Mobile Mini Keyboards are ready at any time - even when there is no power socket nearby. All four reface models are presenting themselves as a creative toy for sound design. But despite their compact design, they are professional instruments that are inviting to play. The user interfaces were designed separately for each instrument introducing features such as drawbars for the reface YC organ and the capacitive Multi-Touch surface on the reface DX.

reface YC: Electric Combo Organ - Rich, punchy sounds are its area of expertise: The reface YC offers additive synthesis paired with a unique power of expression using nine drawbars and virtual rotary speakers. The instrument combines five different models of organs, the sound is created using a special "Organ Flutes Tone Generator". In addition to the possibility to carry around five organs in a single piece of hardware without breaking your back, the reface YC delivers the authentic spirit of playing an organ using the smallest user interface possible.

All four reface models offer a rich potential for creative sound design - and the opportunity to get in touch with the whole world: With Soundmondo, Yamaha created an online hub connecting the reface community all over the globe. Soundmondo offers creative possibilities to create, share and discover sounds. The connection is established intuitively using a special Web MIDI technology for Google Chrome. As soon as a reface model is plugged in, it offers the possibility of direct synchronisation. Voices and set lists can be stored in a private area as well as shared with the community.

Quick and easy storage as well as management of sounds with iPhone and iPad: The free reface iOS app for Apple mobile devices makes data transfer extremely simple. A name, a picture and multiple tags can be applied to stored voices; they can be sorted in different ways as well. Search functionality is also included. Using a set list, voices can be arranged in a specific order and recalled one after the other. Another impressive feature is the possibility to exchange voices using QR codes: A distinctive code can be generated from any stored voice and can then be shared using the different options available with iOS. It can for example be sent via email or read using the camera of another iPad to import it into the app.

Quick and easy storage as well as management of sounds with iPhone and iPad: The free reface iOS app for Apple mobile devices makes data transfer extremely simple. A name, a picture and multiple tags can be applied to stored voices; they can be sorted in different ways as well. Search functionality is also included. Using a set list, voices can be arranged in a specific order and recalled one after the other. Another impressive feature is the possibility to exchange voices using QR codes: A distinctive code can be generated from any stored voice and can then be shared using the different options available with iOS. Notes: The module is built around high quality VCA chips from THAT Corp, as well as low noise opamps. It offers clickless muting and equal loudness panning. The distinct feature is that voltage control is dynamically compressed should it yield clipping when pushed too hard. Also, in both modes the attenuators offer full closing of the corresponding channel, regardless of being controlled by the CV, or not. The VCAs fully open (0dB gain) at CV=8V in Env mode and CV=5V in LFO mode. All the input and output signal levels are Eurorack levels.

Multiple Praga units can be chained thanks to dedicated headers on the back. The mixed stereo sum of each unit in the chain is added to the mixing bus of all units downstream.

It features a modern, well-calibrated, temperature compensated triangle core and two elaborate waveshaping and modulating sections. The sound is a mixture of a warm, saturated base tone and two ripple components. Besides its main output, Sofia offers access to individual components of the sound plus a multitude of modulation inputs allowing for extensive self-patching and animation of the waveform. To better understand the device, it is strongly advised to read through the entire manual before using the module.

Sofia implements and extends the classic computer music method for synthesis of formant sounds called FOF (fonction d'onde formantique), which uses a combination of simple, time-domain components (decaying sinusoidal waves) to achieve desired spectral characteristics.

In Sofia, two of such ripple elements are added on top of a slightly saturated sinusoidal base tone. Each new cycle of the base tone spawns a new pair of ripple elements. In addition, there is a microSD memory card slot on the front panel that allows for loading factory and custom effects without any restrictions or copyright protection, which means you can use many effects available on the Internet and even create your own.

Effect programs are organized in banks of 8 and can be selected using a rotary encoder, as well as CV and trigger signals. Timiszoara features a crisp OLED screen that displays the program parameters and its name. It also facilitates navigating the list of banks. Up to three parameters per effect can be controlled from the front panel with illuminated slider potentiometers and dedicated CV inputs.

Xaoc Devices have carefully crafted Ostrawa's voltage control response to achieve what we believe to be the optimal user experience found in a Eurorack mixer. The design features an elaborate control circuit that combines the internal voltages generated by the panel potentiometers with external CV over volume and stereo balance. The result is a natural attenuator response that constrains VCA gain to a usable range while minimizing distortion.

Ostrawa is a sister module to Xaoc devices Praga. Additive synthesis oscillator based on the concept of building up harmonics from sine waves. A complex idea nicely executed for ease of use.

Suppliers notes:
Odessa implements the principle of additive synthesis controlled by a set of carefully tailored macro parameters to harness thousands of sinusoidal partials that altogether form the resulting sound.

The interface is kept simple and accessible, so you can easily build rich and full, great sounding timbres of very complex spectra, that can be either harmonic or inharmonic. Even though inharmonic spectra yield non-periodic waveforms, all partials are frequency related to the common fundamental controlled by a V/oct input. The series of harmonics can be squeezed or spread apart, tilt, and pruned by a comb-like frequency response, resulting in a variety of unearthy sounds. Animating the comb response yields radical effects similar to flanging and phasing. Additional, often sought after features are implemented: through-zero linear frequency modulation, and unison detune: up to 5 copies of the sound can be spread apart for a fat and dense cluster of voices.

There are nine parameters, each controlled by a dedicated knob, so the workflow is as smooth and immediate as possible. Furthermore, every parameter has a dedicated CV input, allowing live animation for organic audio effects. Odessa sports two main outputs for banks of harmonic partials that can be further scaled in frequency, as well as an additional output that can either spit out a square wave or a single sinusoid of the fundamental frequency. Interesting spatial effects, crazy modulation feedbacks as well as synchronisation is possible that way.

The hardware is based on a powerful FPGA chip offering massive parallel computing. The synthesized signal is devoid of aliasing through the entire audio range thanks to intrinsically bandlimited algorithm. A simplified spectral analyser helps you to keep a visual track of what is actually happening to the harmonics.

For even more control over Odessa, you can use the Leibniz subsystem (or just the Lipsk) that can be connected to a header at the back of the module.
