Notes: Any vibrations in the record during playback will be picked by the cartridge and will be reproduced by the amplifier and speakers causing muddy sound, distortion and reduced detail. In order to avoid record vibrations you must make sure that the contact between the record and the platter is as perfecrt as possible.The tonar record clamp presses the record flat against the platter. Put the record on the turntable and then put the clamp on the spindle, press down & turn the knob to tighten. The weight of the clamp is minimal so it can be used on any record player with a fixed spindle.
Also many older manufactured records are warped to varying degrees, this causes big problems for the diamond stylus of the cartridge to track the grooves properly. The stylus pressure fluctuates as the stylus moves up and down while trying to track the warps. With bad results: muddy sound reproduction with distortions and if the turntables drive isn't really strong... audible flutter. In some cases the stylus may actually loose contact with the groove causing a hissing sound. Using the Tonarclampit will press the record onto the turntable platter, and the problematic surface will be flattened while you play the record causing a dramatic improvement of the reproduced sound on old records.
Take care that the platter bearing of your turntable is able to accept the additional weight of 760 g. If in any doubt please consult your record player instructions or your dealer before buying or using this weight.

Pitch shifting in the Z-DSP uses a technique called 'rotating tape head' delay lines named after pioneering tape based experiments in Germany in the 1960s. The tape heads move at speeds independent of the tape playback path and two heads are crossfaded to make a continuous output capable of beautiful pitched delay effects, harmonization and smooth reverbs.
These pitch shifting algorithms are much like the earliest digital pitch shifters released. Sounds similar to the Eventide H910, AMS 15-80 (with Pitch board) and Publison DHM 89 can be achieved. These programs are intended more for pure effects rather than the complex multiple harmony lines later devices and plugins became known for producing. Chords from single VCOs can easily be made using the 'Interval' programs on the card though.
Using a Z3000 to clock the Z-DSP, complete chaos from the delay lines and pitch shifting emerges, creating great and unexpected new sounds. Review: The Stone Techno Series from The Third Room aims to pay homage to the historic coalmines at the Zollverein, Europe's largest complex of the sort. Techno's links to heavy industry are often duly noted in the press, but the likening of techno to the extraction of raw materials is not so much - which is what lends the music on this compilation a special character. With contributions from the likes of Perc, Lokier, Kink, James Ruskin, Luke Slater and Adiel, techno is lent a softer and more natural-mineral edge - as if the fast pummelling of the kick drum were caused by repetitive geological processes, not heavy pistonry or machine tools. That's all thanks to its use of samples recorded directly at the mines at Ruhr. All this complements an upcoming festival at the site, at which many of the featuring artists will play.

Dual hybrid oscillator
Notes: The 2OSC/d module contains two 1V/octave hybrid oscillators. Each of them features:
- One frequency knob plus a range switch +2 octaves
- CV input (1V / octave)
- PWM input
- SYNC input
- Sawtooth/Square/Sub-octave output

When the audio signal arrives at the end of the springs, the waves are reflected several times; these reflections create the reverb sound.
The spring "tank" (a metal box containing the springs and transducers, size approx. 24 x 9 x 3.5 cm) is connected externally by a cable.
The product contains all components: The module itself, the spring tank and the connection cable.
