KMA's STEREO ABY features a fully passive design for the best signal integrity, along with True Bypass active silent relay-based soft switching. While that might be a hell of a wordy mouthful, what it means practically is that the audio signal itself is entirely untouched and without any colouration. Plus, you can use the device in either direction, for sending to different sets of amps or effects or for switching inputs/ instruments/devices into your chain.

However, the actual switching is taken care of by reliable and sturdy soft switches as a separate active circuit. By employing this switching technology, mechanical noise is greatly reduced, as is the risk of those pesky loud c
licks and pops that have plagued so many boards and has haunted so many musicians, since the inception of ABY boxes.

This is real catnip for hardcore fans of The Beatles (is there any other kind)? It is a long awaited, much talked about, often delayed 50th anniversary edition of the Liverpool band's Let It Be album. It is a super special package on 180-gram, half-speed vinyl across four different slabs. There is also a a 45rpm 12-inch vinyl EP as well as a large 105-page book in its own tasty die-cut slipcase. There are 57 tracks in all, all of which are in new stern mix format thanks to some great work by Giles Martin and Sam Okell. What else is there to say other than make suer you cop this true collector's masterpiece?

Review: CircoLoco Records is a new record label forged in partnership with the iconic video game creators Rockstar Games. After four editions of colour coded releases, we now have the entire collection of 20 tracks compiled here on one 5xLP package. From the Black edition there's the tunneling techno of Adam Beyer's powerful 'Break It Up', from the Violet edition you have Margaret Dygas' majestic broken beat journey 'Wishing Well', as well as tINI with the neon-lit disco of 'What If, Then What?' featuring Amiture (Green) and Sama Abdulhadi with the steely and hypnotic techno of 'Reverie' taken from the Blue series - plus many more.

Review: Jazz pianist Monty Alexander hails from Kingston in Jamaica, and Ernest Ranglin is often said to be one of the world's best guitarists. They are an audacious pair who cook up real magic when they work together and are the foremost act in the nice world of jazz reggae. Their sound is a perfect ad literal combination of those two genres and this album is a live recording of the Montreux Jazz Festival in June 1995. It features a cover by Bob Marley is a real cornerstone n the history of jazz reggae that is all the better for the unique interplay between Alexander's piano and Ranglin's guitar.

What's the difference between Black2 and Green2?
Approximately 15% of the Black3 production run meet higher specifications. These are hand selected from the batch and designated as Green3.

Grado's OTL, or optimized transmission line, technology provides an ideal transfer of signal from the surface of the LP to the generator of the system. This technology rejects unwanted resonances and lowers distortion preserving the fundamental and harmonic frequencies of the music. This also helps keep noise generated by the motor system in the cartridge to a minimum.

Grado's OTL stylus/cantilever design makes records sound quieter, improves the height, width, and depth of the soundstage, and present more detail than previously obtainable.

The Black3 is hand assembled by Grado's team in Brooklyn, with some builders having over 25 years of experience. This updated series of cartridges offers excellent tonal balance, dynamics, and realism, for a most rewarding reproduction of vocals and instruments. The coil winding techniques using ultra high purity copper wire, which were honed during the development of the Lineage Series, have let the electrical circuits achieve unison between the four coils in each phono cartridge. This allows for a precise balance between channels and accurate stereo imaging.

As in all Grado phono cartridges the Black3 is powered by a twin magnet system that optimizes the balance between stereo channels. All internal magnetic circuit parts are held to extremely high tolerances creating the desired stereo imaging. Grado's patented Flux-Bridger design allows the Black2 to have one of the lowest effective moving mass generating systems while creating an excellent balance throughout the full frequency range.

The AT-VM95EN, features a Nude Elliptical Diamond. The construction of the stylus being a one piece diamond with a round shank inserted in the cantilever creates a lighter and more rigid transmission system than a diamond tip bonded on a round titanium shank such as in the AT-VM95E. Also the use of nude diamond implies a substantial difference in pricing, yet the quality of the reproduction will be immediately noticed, specifically in the fidelity of high frequencies and in the quality of the transient responses.

Our VM95 Series dual moving magnet cartridges can be used almost forever by replacing the interchangeable stylus. The SD808 is the TR-808's analog snare drum circuit adapted for use in Eurorack modular synthesizer format and was designed to sound like a fresh-out-of-the-box, 1980s TR-808 snare. Adapting the circuit to the modular format has allowed us to add special features like independent accent levels, a high-powered gain stage, a dual-input pulse-shaper, and an adjustable noise source - all without compromising the signature sound of the TR-808 snare drum.

The SD808 sounds tight and extremely snappy because it's analog - the real thing, not samples. The sound is made with three analog sound generators mixed together: two oscillating sine waves and a noise source. The SD808's front panel controls have a lot of sweet spots with sounds that are not just limited to snare drum sounds; it can also create other electronic percussive elements.

The noise source generator in the original TR-808 machines were revised in later production batches, resulting in variations in sound across the production run. The SD808 uses this later, revised circuit to create a snare drum hit that is slightly darker, has more body, and is more realistic. Just like other drums in this series, the SD808 includes a high-powered output gain stage capable of producing signals up to 20Vpp, allowing you to get an array of harmonized snare drums sounds with even tighter attacks. Notes: What does this do?

There are 8 amplifier circuits. Each one is capable of boosting a line level signal into synth level signal to use for your euro rack system. You can use your external gadget's volume knob to adjust the signal sent to the amplifier.

The signal path is DC coupled. You can pass voltage signals, like envelope signals.

You can also patch a synth level signal into one of the inputs and make a very good sounding distortion FX.

You can also daisy chain for example two amplifier circuits for even more crunchy distortion.

The op-amp used is a JRC4558. These sound beautiful when clipped.

There is a red clipping led to let you know when you over drive for each amplifier.

Above the reverb knob and modulation knob on the panel board, there are respectively 3 knobs to control the parameters of reverb and modulated effects. TONE, DECAY, MIX respectively controls the tone, decay and ratio of reverb effect; and SPEED, RANGE, DEPTH respectively controls the rate, range and depth of modulated effect. They have so great adjustment range that different combination of the position could even make you believe that you've pushed down another pedal.

Tone storage function:

Reverie Reverb has 5 preset tones, where you can store your favourite and common tones through the Store knob. When you've got the tone you want, push the Store Knob. Then the Preset indicator light begins flashing. After choosing the preset tones through footswitch, push the Store Knob again and the preset light will flash twice quickly, which indicates the tone has been stored successfully. If you don't need it, just click any knob before the last move of pushing Store Knob to get out of the storage mode.

Tap Tempo:

Tap Tempo could adjust the rate of effect sound during a live show, more convenient than the knob operation. In the Shimmer and Octave mode, push down the Tap Tempo footswitch and spin TONE/PARAM X knob can change the intensity of the Shimmer and Octave effects.
