Notes: Messor is an analogue stereo compressor with lots of tricks up its sleeve, in only 8HP.
From squashing drums, sidechaining kicks and sculpting transients, to glueing a mix together, it's a very versatile dynamics manager.
At its core it's a VCA based feed-forward compressor with a low noise signal path. The magic is in the internal sidechain that shapes the gain reduction envelope. This starts with a a switchable high-pass / low-pass filter, before going into a precision envelope follower, controlled by familiar parameters: the attack, release, threshold, ratio and makeup gain.
The ratio can go past limiting and into over-compression, which can completely reshape transients, a great tool for sound design.
Being modular, of course there are CV inputs for Attack, Release and the side-chain Filter cutoff. The Gain CV controls the makeup gain, but also doubles as a Stereo VCA with the Gain knob turned fully CCW.
The gain reduction envelope is also available as an output, for turning filters or other VCA's into compressors for example, or as a standalone envelope follower.
There's a bypass switch, and a Warm mode, that can bring in a bit of additional saturation and compression in the form of analog tube simulation circuitry.
Lastly there's the possibility to insert an external sidechain, for that classic kick sidechain compression.

Hook up your media player via S/PDIF and enjoy good old-fashioned hi-fi listening with good new-fashioned hi-fi conversion, or add two additional output channels from another audio interface or digital mixer.

Not every studio task requires a computer. The Revolution 6×6's DAC, word clock, and D/A conversion features can all be used without a computer; just press and hold the "Standalone" button. Hook up your media player via S/PDIF and enjoy good old-fashioned hi-fi listening with good new-fashioned hi-fi conversion, or add two additional output channels from another audio interface or digital mixer.
Many MPCs, synths, and guitar processors also have S/PDIF, which will often deliver better sound than using their onboard converters.
For recording, connect any guitar processor with a S/PDIF output and enjoy high-quality D/A conversion of your custom guitar tones. The Macro-MMC (Master Music Clock) in Revolution 6×6 was developed from Black Lion's experience creating dedicated word clocks, as well as modifying many embedded clocks found in other recording interfaces. Macro-MMC ensures the best possible performance from its converters, but also allows you to connect external gear via the BNC connections for maximum sync and ultra-low jitter - meaning any devices synced via Macro-MMC are communicating as accurately as possible to minimize the phase distortions that can muddy your high-end and dull your transients.

Notes: In 1973, Eventide Clockworks introduced the Omnipressor, the first studio product to encourage the use of dynamics for special effects. It joined the Instant Phaserr in studios worldwide, with the Instant Flanger following shortly after. All were used on countless recordings and are now considered truly classic products. The new *Au model features the ability to link multiple units and is fitted with input and output audio transformers, which were a costly option on the original. Other improvements include a universal power supply and a back-lit meter, as well as more convenient TRS/XLR connectors replace the original terminal strip.

Notes: This is a self contained analogue high hat module. This is a Transistor based VCA design. It is influenced by the DR110 drum machine. The original circuit used 4 oscillators to make the metallic audio sound. I added the original 4 oscillator, and an extra 6 oscillator circuit. The 6 oscillator version is doing a double XOR ringmod (internally). You select that by switch.
The 4 oscillator design sounds more crunchy, where as the 6 XOR circuit sounds more polished with sheen. You can blend in the amount of white noise in the mix labeled 'sizzle'.
Internally, the audio is passing through a few high pass filters, making the output sound very high in frequencies.
The module by itself is not exciting. But in the mix, with other percussion modules, this is your favorite-go-to module. It sits almost perfect in the mix.
There are two triggers. One is for 'Open' sound. The other is for 'close' sound. Both open and close have there own decay knob to adjust the length of the audio tail.
There is a tone control, labeled LPF. Use this to taper off some of the high frequencies.
Instead of adding an 'accent' control. Both triggers have been made to voltage variable. 5V triggering is the normal expected input. So a 3V trigger will sound softer in volume. 10V trigger signals will sound louder.
This module is as simple as it gets, just patch your Arturia Beat Step Pro and use the drum track.

Notes: Alter is an effects processor for Eurorack format. There are two versions of the Alter which are visually identical except the names "Alter 1" and "Alter 2". This is Alter 1. Notes: The Resonant Garden is an electronic-acoustic hybrid instrument designed to create anything from beats and oddities to dense soundscapes.
The garden utilizes three Alter circuits each equipped with a mic pre-amp, and 4 sprout (stringed) panels for generating acoustics. By plucking, rubbing, tapping or even bowing, those micro-acoustic sounds become amplified and affected by the Alter in any number of ways. In essence, the garden is a large microphone designed to pick up vibrations.
Monolithic vs Discrete
A Monolithic version of the Resonant garden consists of a single faceplate for the entire instrument.
A Discrete version of the Resonant garden consists of 7 faceplates, three for each Alter module and four for the sprouts. The discrete version allows for individual sprout and Alter modules to be moved around or substituted with other modules. Keep in mind the power and audio distribution system is designed for the configuration shown here, but can easily be hand wired with standard cables (sold separately). The maximum depth for modules in the garden box is 33mm.

… Read moreThe Nano Garden is an acoustic-electronic hybrid designed to create anything from beats and oddities to dense soundscapes. From its inception in 2006, the original garden has gone through many changes and refinements: micro garden, luminist garden and illuminist garden and finally this latest and likely final version of what is essentially an expanded micro garden.
The Nano Garden essentially utilizes a single Alter circuit with 7 effects selected specifically for this instrument. Each is also equipped with a mic pre-amp, and 2 garden (stringed) panels for generating acoustics. By plucking, rubbing, tapping or even bowing, those micro-acoustic sounds become amplified and effected by the Alter in any number of ways. In essence, the garden is a large microphone designed to pick up vibrations. Aside from the internal mic, the nano can be used to process external signals with any of the internal effects as well.
Effects
There is a single Alter in the Nano which has seven different DSP effects, selected by touching the copper hexagon. The effect list is different than either Alter 1 or 2 - these are selected specifically for the Nano (this selection is subject to change):
1 - long delay (capable of near infinite feedback looping)
2 - notated granular delay
3 - plate reverb
4 - choral reverb
5 - palindrome reverse delay - backward/forward repeat
6 - pitch delay
7 - time stretch/glitch
Control
- Control for the gain of the mic pre-amp or any incoming audio.
- Controls for Mix, X, Y and Sift as well as clock.
- All effects have a variation of a filter which may change effect to effect.
- X and Y control various rates.
- Clock control adjusts the rate which controls the DSP which can drastically change the effect. In doing so it does slightly lower the quality of the output signal but the results are fantastic. This clock is not for synchronization.
- Mix, X, Y and Sift all have CV control inputs.
- Each control level or cv input is visualized on the control panel.
Acoustics
Each sprout panel is equipped with a contact mic. A contact mic is designed to pick up vibration. The mic pre-amp is specifically designed to deal with the frequencies of the contact mic by boosting certain frequencies and dulling others in order to optimize the sound quality. The mic pre-amp has a gain control so the level can be adjusted according to how you intend to play.
Design
The box is constructed with Sapele African hardwood and a white birch bottom panel. It features anodized black aluminium rails for mounting the faceplates. Each sprout of strings is bolted in from the back and held in place with a backing panel under the main board.
Each box has unique wood grain patterns. The wood grain shown in the images will appear different for each instrument Folktek ship.

Notes: MachineRoom PRODIGY DUAL VCO is an analogue dual oscillator based on the legendary Moog Prodigy synth schematics. Opsix Module is a digital synth like no other. The Opsix Operator Mixer simplified FM synthesis for the first time, making it not just comprehensible but also controllable. Now, Korg has created a new form of Opsix, the module. This model supports MIDI 2.0 property exchange and poly aftertouch, and is an excellent companion to Keystage. It's also fully compatible with the sounds of the original Opsix, Opsix mk II, Opsix SE, and Opsix native software, as well as numerous excellent third-party libraries, keeping the updated sounds and software fresh. The new 19" rack-mountable enclosure has the same controls as the keyed models, yet is easily transportable and fits neatly into any studio or desktop production system.
MIDI 2.0 Property Exchange and Polyphonic Aftertouch support
With the latest software updates, all models of Opsix, hardware and software, now support MIDI 2.0 Property Exchange. Hundreds of the original factory sounds have been updated to include Polyphonic Aftertouch modulation (Channel Aftertouch is supported as well). All of this makes the Opsix module an excellent companion to KORG's Keystage controller.
Rack-Mount and Desktop
The Opsix module is cleverly designed for both desktop and rack-mount use. The panel is redesigned to fit into a standard 19" width, and the rear jack panel is recessed to allow easy access to cables even with gear mounted directly above. With desktop setups, brackets offer a choice of panel angles: flatter for performing standing up, or more upright for working while seated in your studio.
Many musicians have requested a module version of the Opsix. Now that components are once again available after a long period of supply-chain disruption, KORG is pleased to make that request a reality.
