Notes: Sixteen Seconds Delay vintage eurorack version, inspired by the original looping delay from 1983.

Notes: Ledges is a three-mode reverb with the ability to save and recall six presets and user-assignable expression control with loads of customizable options. From classic, standard reverb tones to undiscovered sonic reaches, it's everything you've ever wanted and needed out of a reverb.

The three switchable modes each deliver a unique blend of reverb, but are connected through a spectrum where the Room (R) reverb's longest setting is the Hall (H) reverb's shortest setting, the Hall reverb's longest setting is the Plate's (P) shortest setting, and the Plate's longest setting just keeps on going. The Room setting at its shortest achieves a small, boxy room sound that gradually gets bigger as you turn it up. As you increase the Hall setting, it morphs into a Cathedrals-style reverb that becomes really big, boomy and echoey with distant reflections. Turn up the Plate setting to get bouncy reflections that recycle and reverberate forever.

Ledges can go from an '80s slapback reverb mix to a bigger room spring reverb with the twist of the dials. The Mix knob lets you control how much your signal is affected, while the Length knob controls the size of the reverb. The Damping knob subtly mutes the high-frequency reflections of the reverb, which you'll hear clearly by adjusting your gain.

In addition to all of the features, there are six Presets available. Simply select a number with the switchable knob and then engage the Save on the center button and dial in your perfect sound. A quick Recall on the same button and you have all of your personalized reverb sounds with a single tap. You can assign an expression pedal to each of the three controls and then save it all in the presets.

Flexi-Switchr Technology

This device features Flexi-Switchr Technology! This relay-based, true bypass switching style allows you to simultaneously use momentary and latching style switching.

For standard latching operation, tap the footswitch once to activate the effect and then tap again to bypass.

For momentary operation, hold the footswitch down for as long as you'd like to use the effect. Once you release the switch the effect will be bypassed.

Ledges is buffered bypass with tails. Power is required to pass signal.

Power

This device takes a standard 9 volt DC power supply with a 2.1mm negative center barrel. It is always recommend you use pedal-specific, transformer-isolated wall-wart power supplies or multiple isolated-output supplies. Pedals will make extra noise if there is ripple or unclean power. Switching-type power supplies, daisy chains and non-pedal specific power supplies do not filter dirty power as well and let through unwanted noise. DO NOT RUN AT HIGHER VOLTAGES!

Notes: The Foldiplier is a 4hp odd/even harmonics generator with 2 different oscillating feedback paths. The folding core of the design originates from the odd harmonics (middle)section of the Serge Wave Multiplier. But the Foldiplier adds voltage control over the symmetry and offset as well as a switch for feedback, jumper selectable between, a transistor based oscillating fuzz inspired by the Hemmo Bazz Fuss with a lot more low harmonic content and a passive oscillating half wave rectification circuit with more high harmonic content. When these feedback oscillations mix with an incoming waveform some unpredictable and unique nonlinear timbres can be achieved. The module can also be used as a no-input experimental oscillator with the feedback switch engaged. All diodes in the module are silicon.

The Fold knob controls the amount of times the waveform is folded in on its self (indicated by the red led window below the knob). The C.V. knob below is an attenuator for incoming control voltage corresponding to the Fold jack(indicated by the red led window above the jack, it only responds to positive voltage). So, the Fold knob acts like an initial amount of folding depending on its position. For example, with the Fold knob fully clockwise you can get even more folds with a control voltage in at the Fold jack. The Offset knob controls how much positive DC voltage(0 to 5v, clockwise) or negative(0 to -5v counter clockwise) DC voltage(indicated by the led window above the Offset jack, red for positive, yellow for negative) injected into the waveform via the Symmetry knob. With the Offset knob position at noon(0v) there will little effect from the Symmetry knob. The Offset jack is expecting +5v to -5v with knob position at noon to scan through the positive and negative voltage. The Symmetry knob controls the amount of negative or positive offset voltage(dependent on the Offset knob) mixed with the waveform(indicated by the yellow led window above the Symmetry jack). If positive voltage is mixed with incoming waveform more folds will occur on the positive troughs of the waveform, likewise, when negative voltage is introduced more folds happen on the negative troughs. This part of the circuit can also be broken down by thinking of the Offset as a voltage controlled crossfader swinging between positive and negative voltages into a VCA controlled by the Symmetry knob and jack. When a voltage is present at the Symmetry jack the Symmetry knob becomes an attenuator. The Symmetry jack only responds to positive voltage.

Powerfully analogue

The thickness, presence, and immense sonic palette provided by Minilogue Bass is due to an all-analogue signal path. It has two VCOs, a VCF, two EGs, a VCA and an LFO, while retaining the hands on control and unique wave shaping through oscillator harmonics from Minilogue.

Minilogue Bass includes cross modulation, oscillator sync, and a ring modulator, alongside a high pass filter delay to further expand your sound creation possibilities.

Eight voice modes

Minilogue Bass is a four-voice poly synth, with eight voice modes for broad versatility. Alongside POLY and CHORD modes, DUO stacks two voices in unison, UNISON works as a 4 part mono synth, MONO is monophonic but with a sub-oscillator playing an octave lower, DELAY plays 3 voices in sequence after the first, ARP is a 4 voice arpeggiator, and SIDE CHAIN lowers the volume of previously played notes.

16-step sequencing

Minilogue Bass offers powerful and intuitive sequencing possibilities. The 16-step polyphonic sequencer also captures the motion of up to four real-time controls, and can be overdubbed or step-sequenced, alongside the ability to change the root position of the playback by playing a key.

Superior transient response:
In order to dampen resonance peaks at higher frequencies, conventional dome tweeters are injected with fluid to raise their mass, sacrificing transient response time. By contrast, the custom-designed AMT tweeter in the R80 uses an incredibly thin, folded Kapton membrane (< 0.01 mm) with an inlayed aluminum circuit functioning as the voice coil, allowing the tweeter to move at the same instant as the electric current. The resulting reactive response time provides marked clarity and superior transient reproduction.

Wide, consistent stereo image:
An unfolded AMT tweeter diaphragm provides 8 to 13 times the projection area of a traditional 1-inch dome tweeter, enabling R80 monitors to provide a much wider stereo soundstage than traditional designs. At the same time, the R80 provides a very limited vertical dispersion, which helps to reduce reflections from the ceiling and desktop that can cause phase coherence issues. Because it's less subject to room-anomaly interference, the R80 reacts predictably and sounds consistent from room to room.

The R80 utilizes an 8-inch, custom-coated, woven Kevlar low-frequency driver. This rigid cone maintains a more consistent dispersion pattern across its frequency response range. Notes: The Deluxe 10 Connection Flying Bus Cable makes connecting power to your module a snap and a reality, especially if you have 10-pin powered module that has little room around the power pins. There are 10 Male Shrouded and Keyed Eurorack connectors for distributing power to your modules. There are also two keyed 16-pin female connectors for powering the cable and for daisy-chaining another flying bus cable (although you could connect this end directly to a module that takes 16-pin power (or 10 if there is room).

Notes: Hook is a combined drum machine and phrase looper in a single miniature pedal format. The drum section is controlled by the play/pause button which doubles as a Smart Tap Tempo trigger. 11 individual rhythm styles can be selected from to cover a vast range of music genres with output governed by an independent Drum Level control. The inbuilt 24-bit phrase looper has up to 6 minutes recording time with unlimited overdubs. The current tempo is indicated by the integral LED within the Smart Tap Tempo trigger. The Looper recording is activated by tapping the footswitch, tapping again begins playback and tapping again begins overdubbing. Holding the footswitch performs will undo overdubs in sequence or erase the loop when playback is stopped. A choice of two recording modes can be set, with NR mode for normal recording, or AR mode, which will only begin recording when a guitar note is played. Adding to the smart tap tempo operation, the Hook pedal can detect the rhythm of the guitar phrase and set the drum tempo to match it. Emulating the drive of these classic models gives a range of tones from just over-the-edge all the way to burning tube overdrive whilst retaining the guitar's natural voice and clearly defined edge. The all analogue circuit has a Gain control to adjust the amount of drive and the resulting output is balanced by the Level control. Enter the realm of sonic exploration with Colortones LO-FI DELAY. Featuring three distinct delay voicings, the LO-FI DELAY is a grainy lo-fi, old-school analogue tape sounding dub style delay engine with momentary oscillation feedback and speed switching options.

At its core the LO-FI DELAY is a tempo synchronized dual channel delay with each channel having independent Regen and Time controls.

Controls include Delay Time, Regen, Feedback, Mix and a 'Splash' footswitch to momentarily send the delay into a predetermined amount of regenerative feedback and or Tempo Change.

Controls

Wet | Dry Switch

Wet Mode acts like a normal delay where the delayed repeats can be mixed against the Dry Signal with the decay time set by the Regen knob. When the SPLASH Footswitch is momentarily pressed the decay time switches to the Regen+ knob setting allowing for more or less regenerative delays while the footswitch is pressed.

Dry Mode is designed for running in a quite mode and only activating the delay while the SPLASH footswitch is held down. Great for adding dub style accents to certain stabs / phrases or adding splashes of ambient delay or moments of crazy feedback to an otherwise Dry signal.

Hi-Fi | Lo-Fi Switch

Hi-FI mode has a crisp hi-fidelity non-destructive repeated delay.

The centre and down positions are Lo-Fi modes where the resulting delay repeats are a little darker like a tape delay with a slight hint of mechanical tape warble. The Centre position uses a Lowpass filter in the delay feedback line where as the Down position uses a HighPass filter.

Division Knob

The Div knob sets the alternative delay speed when Splash is pressed while in Wet Mode. At 3 O'Clock Repeats are at Unity 1:1. Turning anticlockwise the repeats are Multiplied (Faster) in by either x2 or x3. Turning Clockwise from unity the repeats are divided (slower) by either 2 or 3.

Reverb

The Reverb knob controls the intensity/mix of reverb added to the input feeding the modulation circuit. It is a classic Silverface amp style reverb with a static decay time.

Grain

Increasing the Grain amount adds an analog tubelike pre-saturation to the effect. At max it boosts/compresses the level slightly adding a soft overdrive.

Phase

Adjusting the Phase knob from its center position will change the duration of the 'on time' either towards the beginning or end of the wave cycle resulting in the modulation 'pulse' feeling more asymetrical or staccato.

Boost

Add or Cut the output Level by +- 4db

Tap

Manually set Tempo with by Tapping the Footswitch. Set to 1:1 Tempo.

A sustained hold on the Tap switch activates the Speed multiplier which, while depressed, ramps the speed up to a multiple of the current setting. At slower modulation speeds the ramp time is relatively slow, emulating a mechanical rotary speaker changing speed.

When out and about, you really need to block as much ambient noise out as possible and a lot of headphones do this by clamping the ear-pads as tightly to your ears as possible and using materials that absorb a lot of sound. This produces two unwanted issues; discomfort, after prolonged use; and a loss of audio quality as sound being generated by the driver is absorbed by the cup. The DT 700 Pro series avoids this by using a clever bass reflex system and a large circumaural cup design with velour pads. The Mod FM is a completely self-contained 8 voice FM synth in eurorack format, which can create powerful sounds out of the box without lacking the commonly provided CV modulation possibilities.

It provides 4 Operators and 2 LFOs/VCOs per voice. Additionally it has 2 analogue filters and analogue VCAs per voice which apply analogue warmth and depth to the Mod FM, although the FM engine is digital of course.

Each voice has own CV/Gate inputs and an individual output. There is a mix output which separates even and odd voices. Here you can mix internal effects like delay and reverb to the stereo output signal.

Next to the CV/Gate control, the Mod FM has Midi in and out in TRS type A format and a USB C connector which handles Midi too.

Even without diving too much into complicated modular setups you can create extremely good sounding and metallic FM sounds, snappy bases but also soft and deep sounding analogue style sounds.

Furthermore, the Mod FM offers a variety of external cv modulations in order to e.g. modulate each operator individually or control the FM envelopes.

The Mod FM is fully multitimbral, i.e. each voice can play an own sound in Multi Mode which gets stored as a complete multi set (not only vectorized). That is, you can copy a single sound to the desired multi, but editings made on that particular multi get stored along with the multi set.

Hence, we have the biggest advantage of the hybrid approach:

Modular is great but can be very complex, and you might be trapped in a system where you never reach again the desired sound of the latest session. Storability certainly helps.

The different sections in more detail:

Matrix FM:

4 operators are arranged in a matrix, in which every operator (= sine oscillator) can be modulated by each one of the other three.

The 16 endless potentiometers of the matrix adjust the modulation amount (FM amt) and the base frequency of the operators.

For each operator you can change the base frequency by the diagonal knobs.

There are several overtone modes that determine if one operator is controlled by the keynote (or CV) = base operator, or if it's locked in as overtone (= overtone operator) to the assigned base operator. For the base operator, the number resembles xxx semitones added to the keynote.

For the overtone operator, the adjusted number is the xxx = Nth overtone or harmonics to the base operator frequency.

The locked overtone operator tracks the base operator and is still able to modulate and being modulated.

Each operator has an ADSR envelope. This envelope can also be used to frequency-modulate the operator.

Algorithm:

The algorithms from the known FM synthesis are actually special cases to the whole matrix.

Because it gets pretty quickly uncontrollable if you turn all the knobs because of the feedbacks, Jomox have decided to implement the algorithms. There are 26 algorithms, that are derived from the DX9 with its 4 operators.

At this menu it's even possible to change the frequency mode of each operator to a fixed frequency that is edited in single Hz and which does not follow the keynote, but only modulation. That makes sense for e.g. percussive sounds.

LFO/VCO:

Each voice has 2 LFOs which can modulate either the frequency (FM) or the amplitude (AM) of an operator. Every LFO addresses 64 different wave forms that are displayed in the right OLED display.

There is another feature: each LFO can be switched into a VCO that covers the whole audio range. You can even mix it into the signal chain and it tracks to the keynote. The former LFO rate parameter turns into a detune parameter. That is, you can create classic sounding rectangle/sawtooth analogue basses or string pads - and much more of course.

Filter:

Each voice contains an analogue filter which is build up with the chip SSI2140 from Sound Semiconductor, which is an improved modern version of the old SSM2040, designed by Dave Rossum, and which had been used in Oberheim synths and the early SCI Prophet-5.

The filter has a classic 24dB output and a 12dB state-variable multimode-filter. The three basic characteristic outputs LP/BP/HP can be cross-faded continuously with one parameter called shape.

Both filter outputs 24dB/12dB can be mixed independently.

The ADSR for the filter is fast and cuts in very quick and directly, the resonance is well adjustable.

The filter section contains an own LFO for the cutoff which is independent from the digital sound engine and has also 64 waveforms.

The VCA is a fast transistor-VCA which is important for snappy sounds. The same transistor-VCA is used in all Jomox drum products. Therefore the ModFM can be used as a rich source for technoid drums and percussions of any kind.

Notes: Long-awaited update of Jomox's unique take on filtering, step sequencing and effects. Touchpad programming, CV control and deep MIDI integration make the MoonWind a powerful all-rounder.

Back in the here and now, M takes performance to a whole new level, thanks to that advanced ARP with 16 preset patterns, chord mode, and an ability to synchronise to MIDI clock. Furthermore, four programmable ENVELOPES allow adventurous users to manipulate sound parameters via rate or timed modulations.
