Multi-mode output module - 2HP
Notes: This is for one 2hp module that can be configured in four different ways. It's a bit complicated to get your head around, but there are no electronics on this. It's just a means to connect various buses to jacks.

1) Bus outputs - In this mode you get all stereo outputs for all four buses. This mode is best for using as an extra set of outputs for Bartender or for connecting to a chain of Barbacks (no need for a Bartender). It's also a way to get 3.5mm output jacks for the CUE bus.

2) Bus outputs w/return (no cue) - This is similar to the first mode but you flip the panel over and use jumpers on the back to convert the CUE outputs in to a return.

3) Channel outputs (1-4) - This mode allows you to get unbalanced outputs for four stereo channels of either PRE or POST.

4) Channel outputs (5-8) - This is identical to the third mode, but you just flip the panel over to get markings for channels 5-8.

Connections:

For modes 1 and 2 you'll want to connect both green PCBs, the jumpers go on the bottom half of the module. Then just set the jumpers to CUE or return and put the appropriate panel side in place. You'll then use the 2x8 cable to connect it to Expander output on Bartender or Barback.

For modes 3 and 4 you'll want to just use the one green PCB with jacks on it. You'll then use the two 2x3 cables to connect to either the pre or post headers on one Bartender or two Barbacks. The panel for the channel outputs has two sides to support channels 1-4 or 5-8. You could also technically use this to output both pre and post for two channels, but there is no matching panel for that configuration.

Note 1: Each 2hp module can only be configured for one mode at a time. If you want both bus outputs and channel outputs, you will need to purchase multiple units. Also if you want eight channels of direct outputs, you'll need to purchase multiple units.

Note 2: These are all unbalanced outputs, so be mindful with both cable length and exposing the cables to noisy environments.

(ISE-NIN) VOICE brings the legendary Japanese discrete analogue sound into a compact 100% analogue Eurorack creation. Ideal for combination with an x0x techno rig, the full depth of rich sonic potential and programmability of ISE-NIN can now be patched into new modular concoctions. A full complement of iconic analog oscillators, filters, envelopes, and modulation make this at once a full-featured semi-modular synth on its own, and a powerful addition to any rig with the addition of ISE-NIN BREAKOUT.

Two Oscillators with Deep Modulation

This is a no-compromise compact recreation of a complete voice - lacking only the desktop synth's polyphony. Two oscillators each include multiple waveforms (triangle, ramp, pulse, and square on the VCO-1, with sine and noise replacing triangle and square on VCO-2). Hard sync is available, as is configurable modulation, with dedicated PWM (controlled manually, via LFO, or via envelope 1), and tweakable modulation amounts from both LFO and envelope 1 to VCO-1, VCO-2, or both. The LFO section provides access to waveform (sine, saw, square, random), rate, and delay.

Unmistakable Filter, Dual Envelopes, Musical Control

The unique classic 80s Japanese filter sound is fully embodied here, with highpass filter, lowpass with two slope options (-12 dB, -24 dB), and resonance, all with their own controls. Dual envelopes, each with four stages, are assignable to the filter, VCO modulation (ENV-1), and VCA (ENV-2), with an envelope mod fader. Envelope 1 also sports a polarity switch. As with our desktop synths, musical control is front and center, literally: you'll find dedicated controls for toggling keyboard input to each envelope, a keyboard amount to VCF fader. If you're using ISE-NIN alone as a voice, you'll have access to 1v/octave and gate inputs with glide control.

Unprecedented Patchability

Start with ISE-NIN VOICE (36HP), and you'll already have a deep semi-modular instrument on its own. But add ISE-NIN BREAKOUT (22HP), and you can place every single control under one-to-one voltage control for unmatched patchability and programmability. This is a level of sound possibility that could would normally require investing in several rows of modules; here, they're all readily accessible on one convenient, compact front plate. Not only do you get dedicated inputs for the oscillators, filters, and each separate envelope stage for both of the two envelopes, but there are separate FM inputs to each oscillator and every possible routing of the LFO, envelope, and keyboard. XMOD amount and VCO-2 quantized range each get their own input.

The Metal Fetishist is a beat-making platform designed for rythm discovery and percussive sound design. The unapologetically digital sound engine includes a single oscillator, a white noise source, a resonant multi-mode filter and a digital distortion section featuring downsampling and overdrive.

Random sequencing with control

Two randomness generators manage the trigger probability and the step-modulation. Pitch, cutoff or an internal mixer that blends noise (or external audio) can be controlled by it. The STEPS knob locks the randomness into repeatable sequences of 2, 4, 8, 10, 16 or 32 steps.

Audio Input available to process external sounds

The Metal Fetishist can be used as an effect. External sources can be processed through the filter, the distortion and even the sequencer. You can connect a drone instrument and make rythms with its sound.

Limited edition reissue of EQD's Dirt Transmitter
Notes: In early 2023, Jamie Stillman was invited by legendary guitarist and producer Dave Catching to record at Rancho De La Luna for an album celebrating the studio's 30th anniversary. Dave- founding member of earthlings? and Eagles Of Death Metal and Queens Of The Stone Age- has been a longtime supporter of Earthquaker Devices. Jamie eagerly joined the session, using the Dirt Transmitter on many tracks to great response from the crew.

Following the session, plans emerged to reissue the Dirt Transmitter in conjunction with the album. Dave suggested Ohio-based artist Mike Egan for special Rancho-themed artwork- an ideal match, as Mike lives near EQD's headquarters. The collaboration came together naturally.

The Dirt Transmitter, one of EQD's earliest circuits, debuted in 2008. Fuzz Face-inspired and built around rare low-gain silicon transistors, it blends germanium warmth with silicon's gritty top-end. Originally released with Fuzz, Tone and Level controls, it alter added am externa. Bias control to starve voltage and create a gated, sputtery velctro fuzz. Discontinued in 2017, it returns now for a special release.

With additional options for switching between both clipping and bass boost modes, Manis is sure to conjure up a suitable saturation for any situation.

Keeley recognises that not every guitarist relates to the sound of the original horse related pedal, so while the Manis totally nails the sound of the fabled original, it also delivers a worthwhile evolution of this renowned circuit. By using GE Transistors as opposed to the fabled GE diodes, the result is representative of the same well-known flavour, but due to the different cutoff voltage there is increased saturation, compression and sustain.

Input/output module that can be used to store presets in your modular setup or to create more layers of modulation in your setup - 12HP
Notes: Smith: it's an 8 inputs & 8 outputs precision buffered matrix with presets. Each of the 8 outputs can take the signal from any of the 8 inputs, allowing over 16 million possible combinations.

This is not a mixer, the same input can be routed to many outputs, but several inputs can't be present at the same output simultaneously. The module works with both audio and CV signals, ins & outs have i10 volts range and minimum offset (1 millivolt approx.), which makes it perfect for distributing V/Oct signals too.

8 scenes that can be accessed through the dedicated push buttons but also by CV and trigger. 8 banks (with 8 scenes each, 64 scenes per preset). 8 persistent presets (with 8 banks of 8 scenes each).

This module can be used to store 'presets' for your live setup, allowing patch changes and easy rerouting signals with literally just pressing a button.

Another (more chaotic) way to use it is to plug several modulation sources to the inputs (such as envelopes, LFOs, sequenced CVs) and several modulation destinations to the outputs (filter cutoff, PWM, VCAs...). If you want to introduce a variation in the sound, select a different scene or directly randomize the current one to drastically change 'what is modulating what'.

Using audio sources can lead us to interesting territories too, sequencing waveform changes or using different processors (filter, distortion, folder...). Keep in mind that the switch performs pretty fast and the signal is passed without any modification (to preserve its accuracy, which is pretty important when using the module for v/oct) so with audio, the switching may be clicky. This depends on the sound source too, with 'dirty' ones there's no problem but with clean ones, like low pitched sine waves, it will be.
