Back in 2002, Soul Jazz released Hustle, a superb "reggae disco" primer containing killer reggae covers of classic disco hits, mostly recorded and released in the late 1970s. Given that Caribbean disco sounds are now all the range, they've decided to reissue the in-demand collection. Naturally, it contains some stellar material, from Xanadu and Sweet Lady's feminine cover of "Rapper's Delight" and One Bloody's wonderfully positive and laidback cover of William de Vaughan's "Be Thankful For What You've Got", to the dancefloor dynamite that is Risco Connection's brilliant cover of McFadden & Whitehead's "Ain't No Stopping Us Now". Throw in Black Harmony's sublime version of Jean Carn's "Don't Let It Go To Your Head" and you have an essential collection.
