Dead Cities (1:55)
Hitler's In The Charts Again (2:39)
Class War (1:23)
Review: Landing at number 11 on the list of limited picture disc pressings coming from the beautiful crate-digging Italian punk restorers Radiation Records, as part of their Record Store Day celebrations; Dead Cities was only the fifth single from Scottish hardcore/Oi-punk legends The Exploited. Originally released in 1981 on Secret Records, this pressing marks the first time the cut has ever been made available on 7" picture disc. Limited to just 500 numbered copies, be quick to ensure you lock down a sweet slice of this authentic jaw-breaking, curb-stomping UK82 (or 81) classic, that comes with the legendary deep cut 'Hitler's In The Charts Again' as well as the venomous 'Class War' on the flip.

Review: The latest reissued compilation of 4 Skins' greatest works contains the hits and misses of the band at the height of the oi! era, which evolved in tandem with their breakout success and helped them along more than a fair little. From the opening jump of 'One Law For Them' and 'Evil', twin charges of unrelenting chant-punk and brawly sonic brashness, to the latter-siders 'A.C.A.B.' and 'I Don't Wanna Die', as well as a second Bumper Session of 'Evil', this retrospective harks back to a distinct early 80s subculture - as well as a band who, in their concern for police brutality and social injustice, defy common misconceptions of skinheads as all bad.

Review: Hailing from London's East End, there's few Oi-punk outfits who were as quintessential or authentic as The 4-Skins. While only releasing a small handful of albums with their definitive 80s line up, this live/demo/unreleased cuts compilation offers an aural fly-on-the-wall experience of being confronted with their signature brand of seething anti-authoritarian, anti-police brutality, anti-fascist, football loving, skinhead sporting, Doc Marten stomping punk in real time. Packed with cuts pulled from radio sessions, Bumper sessions, demos and even two tracks from a previously unreleased 7" 45, including the ska-punk-inflected 'Seems To Me'; offering a more subdued side to the OG Skins than most long-time fans would be accustomed to.

Review: Formed in 1982, New York City hardcore pioneers Agnostic Front left a defining impact on the burgeoning scene with their unmatched ferocity and sonic abrasion as well as their intimidating attitude and skinhead aesthetic, which would lead to them incorrectly being perceived by some as racists or neo-Nazis. Coming up in the rundown streets of Lower East Side Manhattan, surrounded by urban decay in an area battling severe poverty, drugs, and violence, they channelled their anger into a new breed of punk that would serve as both a rallying cry for the less fortunate as well as an urgent, abrasive form of catharsis. This blistering compilation contains recordings dating back to the very beginning of their career, featuring demos of tracks that would eventually appear on their 1983 debut United Blood 7", while also offering other recordings from this period originally left unissued at the time; some of these would later be included on the 1995 Raw & Unleased CD, though several of these cuts have never been made available on wax until now. The band would later be featured as part of Showtime's The Godfathers of Hardcore documentary from 2017, while frontman Roger Miret's autobiography provides a deeply insightful yet frightening firsthand account of an already clearly tumultuous yet integral time in punk history.

Review: Originally forming in 1982, Agnostic Front were one of the pioneers of New York City hardcore punk and they've left an indelible mark on the scene and movement ever since. Inspired by their dilapidated surroundings of Lower East Side Manhattan, then blighted by poverty, drugs, violence, and high levels of urban decay, the ugliness around them would help to chart a venomous new course for the sonic potential of hardcore as an urgent, abrasive form of catharsis. This incendiary compilation offers up recordings which date back to the very start of their career, including demos of cuts that would eventually appear on their 1983 debut United Blood 7", while also featuring other recordings from the period that were left unissued at the time; some of the material would later be included on 1995's Raw & Unleased CD, though several of these tracks are making their wax debut. If you're eager for more homeschooling, the band were featured as part of Showtime's The Godfathers of Hardcore documentary in 2017, while frontman Roger Miret's autobiography offers insightful and frightening lore to an already clearly tumultuous yet integral time in punk history.

Review: LA punks Brat (aka. The Brat) released just one album, Attitudes, in 1980. Despite their terse career, effectively lasting for just three years (indeed, being made up usually of hot temperaments and bright, punk bands don't tend to last that long, though the members of this outfit did go onto flourish under other projects and names), this LP is nothing short of a charmer. Characteristic of the first wave of LA punk - along with contemporaneous albums by X, The Germs and The Weirdos - Atittudes has an up-front, earnest and melodic sound, one that'll instantly chime with anyone wanting to explore the constructive side of anarchy. Echoes of rockabilly and glam rock shine through on jubilant buzzers like 'Starry Night', and its for creative fusions such as this that Attitudes enjoys the cult classic status it has now.

Review: The fourth full-length from Lewisham Oi-punk accosters, The Business, marked their longest gap between full-lengths, with 'Keep The Faith' landing in 1994, a solid 6 years removed from 1988's; 'Welcome To The Real World.' Making their name throughout the eighties wave perhaps rendered the project somewhat out of sync with where alternative music was headed, arguably no greater sign of this at odds nature than on the somewhat unsympathetic Kurt Cobain ode, 'Holiday In Seattle'. With the blistering opener, 'Maradona', as well as rapturous deeper cuts such as the iconic, 'Backstreet Billy', however, there's still no denying the potent vitality The Business constantly exuded, making them true harbingers of their name, and assuring all in the midst of the grunge revolution that punk was far from fit for bed.

Review: The Specials revolutionised the British music scene in 1979 with their unique fusion of English punk and Jamaican ska. Their superb album Dawning of a New Era brings together their iconic 1978 demos, which were recorded when they were still called The Automatics, with Silverton Hutchinson on drums and before Neville Staples joined. The fine collection features raw, early versions of fan favourites like 'Night Klub,' 'Too Much Too Young,' 'Stupid Marriage,' 'Concrete Jungle,' and 'Blank Expression.' These rougher, edgier tracks reveal the band's reggae influences from the late 60s and early 70s and even mow still make for a thrilling listen from one of the UK's most vital outfits.

Review: Hailing from Huntington Beach, California, The Crowd arrived in the early 80s as part of the "trash punk" movement, somewhat segregated from the burgeoning hardcore realm that was slowly becoming the most followed path forward for the punk scene. Sporting dayglo beachwear and influencing their own type of proto moshing (or "slam dancing"), their momentum sadly didn't equate to instantaneous success for their 1981 debut full-length 'A World Apart', which can best be described as chaotic surf-punk akin to a scrappier Agent Orange. Dissolving shortly after before reforming towards the end of the decade for their sophomore follow up Big Fish Stories, the band would become an on again, off again labour of love from there on out whilst the members toiled away in a myriad of other groups, yet time and ears syncing up in later decades as always, this debut LP has since been reappraised for its unique and pioneering form of sunny aggro and the vast number of acts it surely inspired, who ironically eclipsed the band during a time where they needed some sunrays the most.

Landing on its own exclusive, limited and numbered red/black splattered vinyl 12", the set is noted for being the band's first official live show, as they provided support for the Sex Pistols, while guitarist Brian James has since elaborated that while the members were paid L5 for the gig by Pistols' manager Malcolm McLaren, they were also charged L10 to use their PA system. Not very punk if you ask us.

Review: The short-lived Dils was the brain child of Californian brothers Chip and Tony Kinman, who across their brief four-year tenure from 1976 to 1980, managed to craft a small but integral bevvy of minimal, proto-no wave punk that flew in the face of the more snot-nosed breakneck pace of the scene at large. They also exuded slightly more melodic tendencies, earning them the nickname "punk rock Everly Brothers", but make no mistake 'Dils Dils Dils' still offers enough abrasion to peel plaster. The one true LP from the group is made up of their slew of early singles including the essential anthem 'You're Not Blank', while the B-side is rounded out with various live cuts from their momentous peak years. Ending their original run at the dawn of the 80s with support slots for both The Clash, and finally Black Flag; The Dils were the real deal (dil?) and their brief but essential discography is awaiting reappraisal and rediscovery.

Review: Stoke on Trent D-Beat pioneers, Discharge, reshaped hardcore punk to their own vicious devices on the seminal 1982 debut full-length, 'Hear Nothing See Nothing Say Nothing', before careening into a controversial metallic style on the 1986 sophomore effort, 'Grave New World.' These were the Clay Records days, and to fully immerse oneself and appreciate the progressive machinations that went on behind the scenes, this demo compilation provides curbstomping, confrontational insight. Limited to 200 copies, and re-pressed for lifers and retrospective scholars alike, by reliable punk deep divers Radiation Records, here's an ample opportunity to bone up on the origins of one of the most abrasive to ever do it.

Originally released in 1985 and arriving two years after the career high-point that was Let's Start A War... (Said Maggie One Day), fan appreciation for the project has only ballooned in the decades since, with a myriad of 7" singles and compilations often boasting at least one of the album's essential cuts such as 'No More Idols' or 'Treat You Like Shit'. Review: As if The Exploited's iconic debut album needs any introduction, 'Punks Not Dead', served less as a title and more of a rallying cry and reactionary throat-punch to those who looked down their noses at the scene, regarding it as a flash in the pan movement. Establishing the Oi-punk attitude as an essential component, delving into anti-establishment and anti-army topics, as well as laying the groundwork for a plethora of vital acts to come, if ever there was a list of quintessential, integral punk records, this would reside atop of the scuzzy mountain.

Review: The third full-length from Scotland's punkest commodity, The Exploited, was arguably the most politically charged project of their discography. 'Let's Start A War Said Maggie One Day', bluntly relates to good old Maggie Thatcher, and her perceived flippant nature with regards to invading the Falklands. Utter rippers such as, 'Rival Leaders', and, 'Kidology', still surge with seething ferocity, nearly four decades on, while the visceral commentary on everything from class division to racism serve as potent reminder of the band's integral contributions to the scene. Yes, they would go on to claim the Falklands were British forever at a performance in Argentina, but we'll save that topic for another day.

Review: Stolen Property, like the title suggests, consists of songs borrowed/lifted/stolen/covered by legendary pub rock turned punk heroes UK Subs mainman Charlie Harper. Originally released in 1982, this debut solo LP refused to cater to the legions of punkheads Harper's band were amassing, and instead served as a sincere love letter to the sweet, simple rock n' roll of his youth and formative listening years. Initially distributed by Flicknife, this long overdue reissue comes courtesy of the dynamic Italians over in Rome's Radiation Records, and boasts retro-swag renditions of timeless tracks such as 'Louie, Louie' by The Kingsmen Quartet, 'Waiting For My Man' by The Velvet Underground, and The Doors' iconic 'Light My Fire'.

Review: Taking their moniker from the East London skinhead shop of the same name (with the shop's manager eventually swapping his duties to become band manager), Oi-punk hooligans, The Last Resort, delivered on every essence of the promise from their initial compilation contributions with, A Way Of Life: Skinhead Anthems'. Still, to this day, regarded as one of the quintessential UK skinhead punk time capsules, the material here boasts an unmatched sincerity and vitriol only learned through experience, and not easily replicated. Before infighting, football team allegiances, and petty squabbles would break the group up (for the first of many stints), 1982 was a year where punk guaranteed it was far from dead. It just had a smarter look, and was much more pissed off.

Review: Forming in 1980 in Herne Bay, Kent and named after the famous East London skinhead shop, The Last Resort were one of the pioneering and most highly regarded Oi! punk acts to ever stomp heads. This rarities compilation features choice cuts recorded between 1981 and 1984 including tracks from their seminal Violence In Our Minds cassette single with original vocalist Graham Saxby (who now fronts The Warriors), demo versions of material that would appear on their 1982 full-length A Way Of Life, as well as their contributions to the national chart compilations Strength Thru Oi!, Carry On Oi!, and Oi! Oi! That's Yer Lot. A major influence on the burgeoning hardcore and punk scenes, so much so that the most recent iteration of the band, still fronted by vocalist Roi Pearce (who switched from bass to mic duties following Saxby's departure), features Rancid guitarist Lars Frederiksen. A genuine Oi!-thentic blueprint from the OG pissed off visionaries.

Review: Following the short-lived yet chaotic and highly influential tenure of Teenage Jesus & The Jerks, no wave queen of New York herself Lydia Lunch would venture out on her own with 1981's debut solo LP Queen Of Siam, which featured her raw experimentalist approach married to the more new wave punk-funk machinations of former bandmate James Chance, who Lunch was collaborating with on some of his Contortions output. Only a year later, she would return with her sophomore endeavour, 13.13, which was written/recorded in collaboration with Los Angeles first wave punk troubadours The Weirdos. Sonically, more in line with the proto-industrial no wave noise rock of Teenage Jesus than the less abrasive meanderings of her preceding solo LP, the work has been positively and unfavourably compared to the output of Siouxie & The Banshees, only repurposed for underground dwelling freaks, while depending on which music critic you worship at the shrine of, 13.13 has been equally heralded as a pretentious, annoying mess, as well as a masterpiece. As is often the case with Miss Lunch's output, only your own ears can cast the final judgment.

Review: In the wake of Teenage Jesus & The Jerks, New York no wave queen Lydia Lunch struck out solo with her debut album, Queen Of Siam. She had already been busy working with former bandmate James Chance on some of his Contortions work, and you can hear a little of that influence in the angular punk-funk of tracks like 'Atomic Bongos' and Pat Irwin's skronky sax which is splattered all over the album. It's a brilliant, often overlooked record with a standout cover of 'Spooky' and Lunch's irrepressible attitude bursting out everywhere. If you love the sound of early 80s New York, this is essential listening.

A towering figure who played a key role in the development of reggae, his skills as a keyboardist and musical arranger are second to none. He was a supremely expressive player who mastered the organ and thus gave shape to ska at Studio One, roots reggae at Channel One, and lover's rock at Wackies in New York UB40 in the UK. Showcase is a superb display of his skills that came on Bunny Lee's own imprint Jackpot in 1977.

Review: Who needs commercial success, anyway? At least not in the Big Apple during the early-1970s - long before Manhattan became a millionaire's enclave and most of Brooklyn out-priced normal people. The New York Dolls certainly didn't seem to mind that their rowdy and raucous take on rock 'n' roll, somewhere between The Who in full meltdown mode and Jimmy Hendrix and the seedlings of punk, didn't capture mainstream imaginations when they first started out.

Through countless lineup iterations things would slowly and slightly change, with the band's first two LPs considered two of the most sought after releases in cult guitar-dom (The New York Dolls and Too Much Too Soon). Actress predates all that, taking its name from the outfit the Dolls grew out of, but the blueprint for critical recognition is clear already - part psychedelic, party sweat and blood and tears, part lager and fighting, all befitting one of modern history's most hedonistic eras.

Review: Originally released in 1979, 'Self Conscious Over You' still serves as a vital piece of Northern Irish punk more than four decades on. Following the success of their 'Just Another Teenage Rebel' single via Good Vibrations, and airplay attention from the one and only John Peel, The Outcasts delivered a staggering debut of frustration, vitality and youthful angst, with seminal cuts such as 'The Cops Are Comin' tackling more weighty anti-authoritarian vitriol, yet the bruised distracted heart of unrequited teenage affection and snot-nosed rebellion primarily teems through this essential Belfast punk classic. One for fans of the classics and newfound punk scholars wishing to expand their knowledge.

Review: True to the Radiation knack for reissuing only the most vital and unfairly forgotten gems of their time, the blues punkabilly grit of 'Pissed & Proud' has finally found a modern home on wax. The harmonica-blaring, ludicrously catchy oi-punk tempering of Peter & The Test Tube Babies was a far cry from their impish, boyish upstart demeanour, while timeless scrappy anthems such as 'Banned From The Pubs' are an era keepsake unto themselves.

These live collections were recorded over an August Bank Holiday weekend in 1982 with performances in Hammersmith and Wood Green, as well as their hometown, Brighton, and they couldn't sound more of and ahead of their time, simultaneously. You can practically hear the absorbed pub walls dripping with dingy sweat.

Review: The iconic first album from Watford coldwave-tinted post-punk outfit, 'Sad Lovers & Giants', still sounds as fresh and relevant to today's sonic spectrum as it did upon its release literally four decades ago. With frosted synth lines, echoing vocals, and dissonant, jangling riffs for days, 'Epic Garden Music', almost predates the goth-rock influence that would become an intrinsic aspect of the scene forevermore. John Peel sessions and an inclusion into the 1001 Songs You Must Hear Before You Die manifesto, are just a few of the waves this immense debut full-length has made since first being unleashed on the listening public forty years ago. Relistening now, it's almost bizarre how many of today's post-punk acts worth their salt, are indebted to this work, whether they're aware of it or not.

Review: If propulsive rhythms, driving guitar riffs with the chorus pedal cranked all the way and reverb-soaked vocals are your bag then Sad Lovers and Giants are your ticket to joy. This release features their 1982 debut album - alongside companion material - and will almost certainly appeal to fans of post-punk greats, such as The Chameleons, The Cure and Interpol. The band never had the commercial backing that a major label affords so have slipped under the radar somewhat over the years. But thankfully new generations are tuning in and realising that they're an extraordinary group that ought to be held in as high regard as the seminal post-punk acts that people more readily refer to. The tracklist is stunning from start-to-finish, but don't miss 'Clint': the topline delivered on the synth is epic and the smorgasbord of guitar arpeggios and understated rhythms beneath prove their knack for penning atmospheric walls of sound. And 'Landslide' centers around a woozily psychedelic guitar pattern, hypnotic beats and short, thought-provoking lyrical stanzas that elevate the overall dreaminess. Music that's as tasteful as it gets, really.

Explore early proto versions of what would end up becoming legacy cuts such as 'Nookie (Anarchy In The UK)', 'No Future (God Save The Queen)' and 'Lots Of Fun (Pretty Vacant)', because even seminal punk classics had to start somewhere.

Review: English punk rock band Vicious White Kids hailed from London and came together for one gig only. That was at the Electric Ballroom in London in 1978, with former Sex Pistols bassist Sid Vicious acting as lead singer. It proved to be his final concert before dying from a heroin overdose a few months later. The show took in covers of Frank Sinatra's 'My Way' and The Stooges' 'I Wanna Be Your Dog' in typically caustic, confrontational style. Gauzy walls of guitars, snarled vocals and raw energy defines the whole set, and the lo-fi sounds and gritty intimacy of the whole show is well captured on this latest reissue.

Review: Recorded in 1978 at the legendary Gibus Club in Republique, Paris when The Slits were defined by thrashy, visceral punk energy and hadn't embarked on their artful genre-splicing era just yet. The Slits you hear on this record is the original four-piece line-up, with Palmolive on drums and it was changes in their rhythm section that led to the embrace of reggae and dub. Having had a formative and breakthrough year in 1977 where they opened for The Clash, it's arresting hearing The Slits at this point in their trajectory. They audibly had the kind of youthful adrenaline and drive that only a band who've awakened to the fact that they're capable of taking the world by the horns can convey..

Review: In 1981, as the punk genre began to simultaneously expand and collapse in on itself, well across the pond, a group known as Solucion Mortal would stake their claim as arguably the most vital Mexican punk band to ever exist. Hailing from Tijuana, the bevvy of crusty influences smashed against the group's own perception of what punk meant to them, evidenced greatly by their pummelling debut, 'Live At Fairmont'. This self-titled compilation includes the entire full-length, along with the cassette release, 'En Iguanas', as well as a choice cut from, 'Al Filo De Abismo.' If you feel a slight pang of fomo (fear of missing out) that you've never delved into the criminally overlooked work of Mexico's seminal punk contributors, this collection serves as the perfect crash course.

Opening for the likes of The Clash, Sex Pistols, Judas Priest, and even AC/DC during their tenure, while also recording a Peel Session, the Studs' live graft is what they're fondly most remembered for, yet their one and only full-length Slam is still packed to the brim with retrograde bangers. Releasing your punk debut in 1977, the year punk (apparently) died, may not have been the best move, but disregarding all pontifications of mysticism and fate, punks with working ears are still very glad the record exists, while those with turntables will be overjoyed to finally add this slept on gem to their collection.

Review: Queen of no wave Lydia Lunch first accosted the New York punk scene in the late 70s with Teenage Jesus & The Jerks; a purposefully confrontational and nigh on impenetrable project gelling elements of industrial, noise, abstraction and avant-rock. Drafting members from across the city and encountered at the iconic CBGB's venue, the group would go on to craft and regularly perform a brief ten minute set of proto-noise-punk that's influence wouldn't be truly felt or appreciated for decades. This compilation offers the majority of the group's discography, clocking in at an overtly succinct nine minutes and 22 seconds. For those unsure of what awaits their curious ears, allow this essential quote from Lunch herself to provide some insight - "To play slide guitar I'd use a knife, a beer bottle... glass gave the best sound. To this day I still don't know a single chord on the guitar." And you'll never need to, Lydia.

Review: Toy Dolls are a little-known but incendiary punk act from Sunderland, England; the band came together in 1979 at the pinnacle of the movement, at a time of fecund promise for genres such as oi!, industrial music and punk. As evidenced by their (now reissued via Radiation) third LP Idle Gossip, their sound is a riveting mixture of these. Its impeccably spacious sound and uniquely upper-register squeals, not to mention its male-female call-response patterns, transport the listener to a headspace of collective ecstasy, reminiscent of time spent watching your favourite team body the opposition, leading to a collective eruption of glee. Well worth listening to in tandem with their first two LPs, Geordie's Gone To Jail and Keith's A Thief, Idle Gossip is a quintessential, authentic slice of northeastern punk.

Review: Tozibabe was a group that was way ahead of its time, firstly because it was a Slovenian all-female hardcore and punk band. They were active during the 80ss in Ljubljana in ex-Yugoslavia. Alenka Marseni-Marsa, Lidija Rupnik, Krischka and Pika all thrashed out angry rhythms and angular guitars on just one album back in 1986. This first collection of their tunes draws together their best work and makes for a high-octane and scuzzy but empowering listen that is up there with any punk material you care to mention.

Review: The Roxy in Covent Garden, London, was the centre of the punk scene in 1977 and the UK Subs were one of many whose appaearances at the tony club launched them to lengthy careers. Originally recorded on New Years in 1977, this live album was originally released in 1991, showing the band - Charlie Harper on vocals, Nicky Garratt on guitar, Steve Slack on bass and Rory Lyons on drums - in their infancy. Known for their short, energy and often alcohol-driven songs, the band built a strong following for decades after, but that UK punk attitude is already very much in evidence in all its gnarly glory here.

Review: This is the first-ever vinyl reissue of a rather confrontationally-titled but landmark compilation of early California hardcore punk that was originally released by New Underground in 1982. It features iconic bands from the day such as the Descendents, Minutemen, Saccharine Trust and Redd Cross alongside lesser-known acts like Civil Dismay, Ill Will and Zurich 1916. Like all punk, it is raw, unpolished, and visceral which helps convey the passion and gutter feelings expressed on the often harshly delivered vocals. Fully remastered for the occasions this includes a double-sided insert with notes by Susan Swear which helps make it a pivotal piece of punk history.

Review: Originally recorded on April 2nd 1977 at the iconic Roxy Club in our homebase of London, this legendary early performance from new wave punk heroes X-Ray Spex pre-dates their debut single 'Oh Bondage Up Yours!' by a number of months, while their genre-staple debut LP Germfree Adolescents wouldn't arrive until the following year. Ripping through a set of album cuts for eager attendees blissfully unaware of and unfamiliar with the future classics on display, such as 'Let's Submerge', 'Identity', and 'I Live Off You', this collection is the closest you'll ever get to vicariously experiencing these tracks in a live setting. Complete with remastered audio, updated artwork and exclusive sleeve notes from original pioneering saxophonist Lora Logic; Live At The Roxy Club is an essential cop for any true self-proclaimed fan of the Spex.

Review: Radiation Reissues has put plenty of effort into this welcome reissue of X-Ray Spex's seminal gig Live At The Roxy Club. It comes with remastered audio, updated artwork, and exclusive sleeve notes from original saxophonist Lora Logic almost fifty years after it was first recorded on April 2, 1977, at the legendary London venue. It was an early performance by the new wave punk icons ahead of the arrival of their debut single 'Oh Bondage Up Yours!' and their genre-defining Germfree Adolescents album. The setlist includes tunes that went on to become future hits such as 'Let's Submerge,' and 'I Live Off You,' which were both performed months before their official release. As such this record offers a rare glimpse into the band's vital formative days.

Review: The early 1980's saw the punk scene begin its ripple effect throughout the world, with Mexico becoming an outlier melting pot of untrained, inexperienced yet utterly passionate fans, pining to offer their own contributions to a movement they felt at home within. Yaps were one such prime example, who would find themselves moving from zero instrumental understanding to support sets for the likes of Ramones, The Exploited and GBH, to name but a few. 'Punk Directo De Las Montanas' compiles the 1988 self-titled 7" and the 'Tu Sentencia' full-length from 1990 onto one LP home, provided by punk restorer extraordinaries Radiation Records.

Review: While legendary London proto-punk outfit The Boys carved out a lasting legacy and notable, if admittedly minute, impact on the early scene, one of their most bizarre and sought after contributions is the Christmas themed record released in 1980 under the pseudonym The Yobs (a very complex anagram). Credited under the aliases Noddy Oldfield, Ebenezer Polak, Kid Vicious and H. J. Bedwetter, the LP offers their very own shitheaded renditions of seasonal classics from 'Jingle Bells' and 'White Christmas' to more folk and biblical pieces such as 'Auld Lang Syne' and 'Silent Night'. If you're a Chrimbo punk sick to the back teeth of all the versions you hear repeated ad nauseam each year, then this reissue of The Yobs heading towards the exit on their own ludicrous terms is a vital stocking filler.
