Review: Madrid-born, London-based artist Tarde Loco delivers a striking debut full of Latin-tinged rhythm, playful swing and finely tuned percussion, all underscored by the touch of a genuinely gifted musician. 'Viva L'Amore', featuring Noemi Caneva, blends breezy vocals with loose-limbed grooves and an understated confidence that instantly draws you in. 'Turbo' steps things up with warped synth licks and erratic funk-trippy and floor-ready without trying too hard. On the vinyl-only 'Ai Ai', he dials into a late-night minimalism, letting tight drum work and hypnotic repetition do the heavy lifting. 'Tu Cintura' closes the set in sun-drenched fashion, laced with percussive detail and an effortless sense of motion.
