Review: Mekon is united with hip hop Queen Roxanne Shante for the rocking, jump up and dance explosion of "Yes Yes Y'All". Riding across a grinding cacophony of mutant synths, Roxanne urges us to get "down on the floor and up against the wall" as she kicks the party into overdrive.
Review: This debut album 'Bright Like The Sun' from Radar on the EMI label was recorded over the Summer of 2006 and was produced by Dan Carey (who has previously produced Kylie, Sebastien Tellier, Lee Scratch Perry and Sly & Robbie) with front man Callum Johnston. It perfectly captures the bands modern digital ska-vibe and was mixed by Cox and Dring, who themselves make up the other two thirds of the Gorillaz production team alongside Dangermouse.
Review: "Remix #3" is the third in the series of rather special Roxy Music remixes. This is something for the old Roxy Music fanbase and those youngsters just discovering them. Headman works his magic on the classic "Virginia Plain" while Phones does a great version of "Editions Of You".
