Review: A Tribute To Marilyn Manson is about as transparent of a title as you can get, with this collection paying homage to not only some of the most iconic hits (and underappreciated deep cuts) from the shock rocker, but also highlighting the bevvy of influences Manson has pulled from throughout his career. Die Krupps reimagine 'The Beautiful People' as the industrial monolith its composition always toyed with, while Ministry mutate the renowned Eurythmics cover 'Sweet Dream (Are Made Of This)' into caustic noise. Elsewhere, appearances from Haujobb, Dead Girls Corp, and Apoptygma Berzerk (among many others) dissect and reassemble tracks from across the initial Manson trilogy of Portrait Of An American Family, Antichrist Superstar, and, Mechanical Animals; redesigning the material as EBM, industrial, coldwave techno bangers, and emphasising how close to these realms Manson has often skimmed his toes.

The Mission UK's haunting rendition of 'All I Want Is You' evokes a profound sense of longing and despair, while The Electric Hellfire Club's industrial-infused 'Sunday Bloody Sunday' captures the raw energy and political urgency of the original. Rosetta Stone's ethereal 'October' provides a meditative interlude, and Die Krupps' throbbing dance interpretation of 'Numb' adds a sinister edge to U2's dance track. The album culminates with Silverbeam's soaring anthem 'Where The Streets Have No Name' featuring Ann Louise, a fitting tribute to the band's enduring impact on the global music scene. Tribute albums rarely shine as bright as this one does.
