Drafted is in the midst of a rich vein of form. This outing on MM Audio is his fourth 12" of the year so far. There's naturally much to admire, from the bubbly melody loops, new age ambient chords, evocative field recordings and dense drums of opener "Iron Fog", to the fizzing Motor City cymbals, broken techno rhythms and dreamy deep house chord progressions of closer "Under Conspiracy". In between, you'll encounter the dark, spacey and psychedelic vibes of "Diod", whose distinctive rhythm track sounds like a swarm of drunken bees, and the Drexciya-meets-Surgeon hustle of "Ceremony After Sea".
