We're always happy to hear new efforts from young Swiss innovator Nicola Kazimir, who usually co-presents works as part of the Les Points collective and fellow homeboy Barbir. For London based Undersound Recordings, he presents another set of oddball grooves which hybridize genres in a truly inventive way. On dynamic opener "Do What Thou Wilt", he again experiments with fast tempos as he did with Barbir earlier in the year on Subsequent and throws down one dusty (gutsy!) techno groove. "Magick716" is Detroit style electro that has been deconstructed and re-arranged in a rather curious way. On the flip he continues on the with the electro-funk leanings in a more straight up fashion with "Osiris418", crossing over in terrific fashion much like TC80, Binh and Saverio Celestri are doing of late.
