The fresh and funky hits just keeps flying out from Stephen Brown's studio, with Realtime making for an aptly titled vessel upon which to carry these soul lavished techno jams. "Spray Shop" maintains that signature Brown swing, with plush layers of synths working towards a shared harmonious goal without ever losing the shape of the groove. "Stand Down" takes a sneakier approach with its more subtle drum arrangements and spooky key refrain, but there's still an irrepressible ass-wiggling command tucked away within the rhythm. When it comes to this kind of direct and satisfying techno, Brown is untouchable.
