Review: Martin Eyerer is a man who brims with energy. On top of this, he brings over twenty years of experience of dance music to ensure that everything he deals with is marked with quality. On top of DJing around the world, producing dance floor stompers and airing his own radio show, Eyerer has managed to run two successful and highly acclaimed labels, Kling Klong and Session Deluxe. It is on the latter that he brings his latest monster, "Musica Rodante."
Eyerer, like his labels, found a sound that lies in a unique position in between genres. On Kling Klong, the records cross boundaries between electro, minimal and tech-house. Session Deluxe showcases the more underground, housey side of productions that he deals with. "Muisca Rodante" is a deep, groovy tech-house monster that kicks and shuffles its way to the dancefloor. With its flute and percussive drums, you can hear the influence of Eyerer's extensive travels as he sets on his world-wide touring regime. The remix from Dasding Plattenleger maestro, Stephan Hinz gives the track a more minimal aesthetic but retains all of "Musica Rodante's" groove and dancefloor vibe. Material leader, Mihalis Safras' remix is a darker, sweatier, more pumping affair. The flute doesn't even feature, replaced instead with a grinding techno bassline.
"Musica Rodante" is yet another unique dancefloor production from Martin Eyerer. Like all his workings, the remix package included takes in various different styles and sounds to add variation to the release. However, such is the careful approach that neither of the remixes lose any of the originality that makes the initial production so compelling.

Review: With their debut record the German producer team Martin Eyerer and Oliver Klein created a brilliant clubby minimal house EP with a touch of hypnotic trance and madness. "Kairo" is the perfect continuation of the relaxed and psychedelic Chardronnet remix of Cosmic Sandwich's "Man In A Box". Martin Eyerer has been DJing now for 18 years. During this time he has released more than 60 records for labels like ministry of sound Germany, Underwater Records and his own label Session Deluxe. He also runs a radio show called Session Deluxe where he regularly invites artists like Toni Rios, Miss Kitten and Oliver Klein. Oliver Klein has also been DJing since nearly twenty years now. He is not only been resident in many clubs like "The Gallery" but also runs the "Home 14" club in Düsseldorf/Germany together with Alexander Bongardt. After many successful productions and remixes Oliver and Martin have now produced a grand record for My Best Friend. The A side track "Al Quadus" works with melodic bass lines, grinding bass lines, jumping single notes, warped chords and atmospheric floating sounds in the background. The outcome of this is a third dimension which creates quite a journey and strong attention. In contrary to this the B side track "Cicada" is very stripped down, light, more joyful and crazy. It holds a mad really long sequence which creates total frenzy.

Review: Dear friends of Kickboxer! "Strange are the way of the lord"! Well, and so are the ones of the world wide web and my space. So it took only a few emails for Martin Eyerer, Oliver Koletzki and Kickboxer to create a nice axis Berlin-Stuttgart-Cologne. That's fun, easy and most refreshing for the audience. Yippee! Martin, the man from South Germany is always on the go an he can look back on a number of impressing co-operation: Chopstick, Joachim Spieth, Namito, Toni Rios and most recently Gui Boratto, our most favourite South-American on Kompakt. On Kickboxer, he came up with the smashing track "Muckenschwarm" he produced together with Oliver Koletzki in 2005. Granulum/Nimubs are well-structured, pumping and extremely groovy. Here comes a great mixture of Swabian and Berlin tunes - and nothing will go wrong. Keep on rockin!

Today's guest is cocoon resident dj Toni Rios and here comes his recipe: chorizo à la Eyerer & Rios you need: 4/4 kick 75g bass (distorted and chopped) 25g snare 10g synth (with a harmonic aftertaste and sweetened with 5g high-hat) 200g beat 100g funk served with a nice pint of beer in a snug ambience. For dessert, we'll have freshly made coffee from the highlands of Nicaragua. viva la liberación! And all rounded off with a finest cohiba and a glenmorangie sherry wood finish whisky. Bon appétit!
