Review: Maynard James Keenan's Puscifer project has been giving the fans the good stuff since those heady days of lockdown by upping the ante on live stream performance. Even now they're back to real-world touring, they're continuing to explore the medium of reaching millions of fans globally by revisiting specific eras of the band's history. Parole Violator is the soundtrack to their filmed performance from the Wiltern Theatre in LA, and it finds them revisiting tracks from 2011's Conditions Of My Parole and giving them a fresh perspective. From acoustic renditions to heavenly new arrangements, there's a lot to savour for the devoted fans of Puscifer.

Review: American experimental rock band Puscifer released their first album V Is For Vagina in 2007, establishing their industrial bent from the get-go. The depthy and gritty vocals of Maynard James Keenan (ex-Tool frontman and vocalist) were centre-stage at this point in their career, nailing the sound of their earliest 'V Is For' touring era. This live album soundtracks their most recent film of the same name, forming a complement to the band's best antics.

Review: American experimental rock band Puscifer were first formed in Los Angeles by Maynard James Keenan, best known as the lead vocalist of the groups Tool and A Perfect Circle. First released in 2008, D Is For Dubby lay among the first album-length dub version sessions to ever be released, owing to the eclectic taste and subsequent remix motive of one Brian Williams aka. Lustmord. Not homing in one any one Puscifer album but rather playing selector over a ream of the band's best works, Lustmord does plenty work to retain the sonic character and tempi of Keenan and co's recordings, albeit also squarely fleshing out the dub aesthetic potential within them, with the likes of 'Queen B' and 'Indigo Children' mixing the dark prog feel of records like V Is For Viagra with the hard digidub impacts and womps of Lustmord's very own sonic terrestrials.
