Review: Careful not to go Googling this one, as you might be met with some licentious search results! In fact, leave it to us to do the talking: Netherlands outfit XXX deliver four new disco and new wave edits for their restless eponymous series (don't be fooled, this isn't their 333rd release, though it is their third). Welcoming Pete Blaker, Correlations, Dr. Dunks and AM to the form - and lending them a track title each to their own monikers - every edit here is especially saunified, vapours wafting off the acid thermos; the likes of 'AM' and 'Correlations' are of indeed identifiable banger fodder, though their capacity to shift dancefloors as such is heard not directly, but rather through much haze and vaporous artifact, lending the whole experience a special ambiance.

More unearthed disco edits from the godfather of house music Frankie Knuckles, courtesy of the legendary Disco Queen. On the A side we have some rather deep down and dirty blaxploitation vibes (also sampled by Jamie 3:26 on "Dr F**K" several years ago) over a minimal proto-house drum track on "XXX" by XXX. On the flip, we have the powerful soul explosion of South Shore Commission's "Free Man" from their self-titled album of 1975. Now this one shows you all what a 'respectful edit' really is - listen and learn!
