Review: Oslo-based Det Gode Selskab, like many labels from the Scandi-region, has its own distinctive take on house - it's lush, melody-rich and cosmic with plenty of dynamic drum work. Berlin-based Norwegian Henriku is next up to bring his own sounds into their world, and this atmospheric house and minimal exploration is hella impressive. 'I Do' works the floor into a steamy and hot house lather, 'Rush Fantasy' then gets a little twisted and freaky for later in the night and 'Pillow Talk' leans into a dusty Detroit house vibe. 'Nicotine 4 U' might be the best of the lot - a fluid bit of afterparty house with irresistible drums and warped neon lines.

Review: Committed to just 200 copies, the new tenth anniversary release from Det Gode Selskab reflects the essence of Oslo's underground dance music scene, with a dramatic 12" drop reflecting the exacting discretion of a truly seasoned collective curate. Label founder Tod Louie kicks off Side A with 'Trixie', a modular-driven journey alternating between sharper stabs and melodious synthoid jabs. Mike Shannon's 'Data Missive' follows, piling on the crunchiness, while the B-side hears Ohm Hourani's 'Since Day One' bring a hopeful vocal hypnotism, and while Karl Fraunhofer's 'Protect The Party' closes on a partisan plume of weirdo sonics and bassy divagations.

Review: Oslo collective Det Gode Selskab continue to expand on their artillery of refined club-leaning music this summer, as they invite Dutch artist Shaked to the table. His versatile sound, laid down in the past decade, has led into the continuous evolution of his productions, now reaching this zenith, on which a distinct blend of atmospheres tilt in a sleek, minimalist direction. With a stripped-back sense of sophistication throughout, this is expert minimal tech house through and through, with the opening monologue on the 'Earth Landing' mix of the lead track surely being of special interest to anyone keen on adjacent musical tropes of sci-fi and starshipped enterprise: "an object of great kinetic power has been located on planet Earth - the object is black, shaped round, and has a locked and groovy surface". We wonder what that could be?
