Our ears were first introduced to the enchanting sounds of Bocca Grande when they released the magnificent piano-led Intensive Spot EP on the Four Roses imprint formerly run by Danilo Plessow aka Motor City Drum Ensemble - -indeed loyal listeners of Tim Sweeney's Beats In Space show may remember MCDE extolling the virtues of Bocca Grande a couple of years back. Here they are snapped up by the gimlet-eyed Rebirth imprint with "Procedere 2011", every bit as enchanting as their previous releases. The record is made all the more memorable thanks to a remix from Morgan Geist. The Metro Area don offers a sprawling house-centric refix, adding a pleasing bassline and teasing the listener for a couple of minutes before bringing the piano refrain in. A lovely reimagination of a stunning original tune.
