After making a decisive return with the first low-key release on the new Blaufield imprint, Booka Shade step up again with Chelonis R Jones in tow for a more full-bodied release, replete with remixes from Friederike Meissner. The club mix of "Blackout: White Noise" showcases the more tense, physical side of the Booka sound, all driving rhythm and rigid, techy synth lines that belie Jones' involvement. Their "Booka Flash" rework of the original goes deeper into minimal tones, while Meissner's remixes skirt both gleaming tech-house and melodic dubstep packed full of studio trickery and bold musicality.
