Claudio PRC returns to Delsin with a fabulous follow up to his Rites Of Passage EP earlier in 2021. This new one is subterranean and unconscious-stirring, and sounds rather like the trawlings of an alien probe in uncharted wastelands. 'Haidou' has an unalterably eye-squinty mood to it, thanks to its post-garage beat churnings and faint pad drone. Things get a bit more Range Rover from there on; the EP leans heavier into the 4x4. 'Nekton' and 'Eelume' are techno-trance-droners, like sonic catalysts of scientific progress, while 'Kaiko' is a conclusive tune, with its pipey lead melody evoking the feeling of having discovered an alien Monolith after years of searching.
