Dooms Children are a Canadian band made up of Daniel and Ian Romano, and Wade MacNeil of Alexisonfire and Gallows fame. Their country-tinged alt rock has a hard-bitten atmosphere which reportedly comes from MacNeil's battles with addiction, but it's not an overbearing, gloomy listening experience. Rather, these songs are crafted with warmth and heart, teasing light and dark at all times and leaving space for some truly inventive musicianship. 'Friend Of The Devil' boils down the angles of the band in five minutes, moving from heartworn balladry to breakout psych solos and back again without missing a beat.
