Strictly Bristol business here, as DSR bosses Distorted Minds turn their hands to two colossal dubstep wobblers from sister label H.E.N.C.H. First up, Eddie K & Minus' 2010 summer anthem "Serial Killer" gets the D-Minds touch. It's a suitably heavyweight rub that exists somewhere in the middle ground between drum and bass and dubstep, fluctuating between rolling breaks and addictively steppy beats. Expect it to get heavy rotation from the scene's top DJs. On the flip, Jakes' "Gold Chain" gets dragged kicking and screaming into 180 BPM jungle territory. The results are predictably big, with D-Minds chaining twisted vocal stabs to one of their trademark head warping basslines.
