Shatter Cone vinyl

The most high profile release yet on Lux Rec sees the Zurich label turn to Helena Hauff, which makes sense as the Pudel resident has become a regular guest at the nights they put on in the Swiss city over recent times. Fans of Hauff's crafty acid box bangers for Werk, Panzerkreuz and more will be more than satisfied with Shatter Cone, specifically the punishing 303 workouts "Accidie" and "Severe Slash". Yet this 12" does see the Hamburg-based artist try her hand at other styles too; final track "Furthest Nevermore" finds her easing down the gears on her boxes which results in a hypnotic new flavour of acid. Best of all however is "Hiemal Quietus", a dark wave number most reminiscent of recent Lux Rec releases. Highly recommended!
