Obsessed retrovert and vintage synth freak Hyboid is German producer Sebastian Hubert who indeed runs the Astro Chicken imprint. Terrors Of The Universe is an imaginary soundtrack for an early '80s film that even though didn't exist (as we know it) kind of does live on now through this impressive effort. It references all the influences you'd expect: Giorgio Moroder, Fun Fun, Gershon Kingsley.. all the greats really! We particularly enjoyed "Marauder Joe's Adventures In Space" whose adrenalised and uplifting arpeggios sound rather reminiscent, the mysterious late night swagger of "Flight Of The Astro Kitten" (yes the titles are pretty awesome!) and poppy 80's discotheque sounds (or video game? We can't decide!) of "Cosmo Speedrun".
