Since his debut release on Tensnake's Mirau imprint back in 2009, Nuremberger Iron Curtis has built up a reputation for classy deep house dipped in refinement across EPs for some respected labels including Boe, Mule and Morris Audio. Ahead of a long overdue debut album on the aforementioned Mirau, Gerd entices Iron to slip out an excellent four tracker on the 4Lux imprint. Lead track on the Thoughts On EP has Mr Curtis digging into his archives to serve up an unreleased cut from 2008 in the shape of "Thoughts On", which is fairly banging and we're pretty happy it's found a home. Curtis also provides a contemporary 2012 version which adds a thicker bass line and these killer sounding snap drums. Elsewhere, "Interlude In The Park" is a short saunter through heavy emotion strained beatdown and "Oh, Come On" brings the jazz bap over a booming 808 flex.
