Having inaugurated NRSB-11 with a self titled 12" on WeMe last year, the pairing of Gerald Donald and DJ Stingray return to the project in more expansive fashion here with Commodified, a full album for the Belgian label. NRSB-11 represents the first time the pair has worked together directly; Although Ingram was commonly billed as "Drexciyan DJ Stingray" in the early stages of his career, he wasn't actively involved in Drexciya beyond his duties as official tour DJ for the iconic subaquatic electro pair of Donald and the late James Stinson. The twelve track album sounds exactly as one might imagine from this pairing, with the subaqueous strains of the sonics augmented by a socio political undertone that goes far beyond the track titles.
