The latest missive on Content and Deafblind's prolific Encrypted Audio imprint is an all-action affair that not only includes solo works from label regular Samba and rising star Chokez, but also a first studio collaboration between the two producers. Fittingly, it's that hook-up, "Ghastly", that takes pride of place on the A-side. A leisurely but punchy roller, the track sees the duo wrap a memorable melodic hook around sparse, minimalistic dubstep beats and notably weighty sub-bass. Turn to the flipside and you'll first be greeted by the angular electronic riff and shuffling deep dubstep beats of Chokez's "Konichiwa", before Samba steals the show via the metallic-sounding percussion hits, red-raw sub-bass and fizzing, grime-influenced stabs of "Snow".
