Launched by Avian label chief Shifted, Drifting Over is a new imprint dedicated solely to his own output. Now into its third release, he presents a new EP titled Too Stupid To Be Anxious, and while it's insinuated that the British producer existed in a dazed state of mind, it's clearly evident he was calm and collected throughout to execute these four cuts of fierce and functional techno. Opening cut 'Bark Over' creates a hypnotic tapestry awash in metallic polyrhythmic textures, until the slow burning cerebral fury of 'Deft Hiss' boils over into the strobe-lit warehouse techno of 'Octave Down' - perfect for those heads down moments on the dancefloor.
