While it's easy to forget about their heritage, which dates back to the early 90s, Teste have been blasting techno since before many of you were born. Morphing and evolving perpetually, the trio consisting of Dave Foster, Himadri and Soren B have produced all sorts of techno infusions, whether through labels like Probe, or later Edit Select, landing them a spot on the recently found BITE imprint. They follow up on Phase Fatale and Silent Servant's opener, leading their own charge with the tenebrous aura of "The Box Man", part-techno and part-noise, with "The Long Term Care Facility" building on that with sense-shattering showers of sonic gloom. The flip side is yet more cavernous glory, first with the humming bass of "Thieves Are Operating In This Area", then onto some sinister glitch fuzz via "Foaming At The Mouth", and finally culminating in a gentle prog-rock lullaby through "Lyubov".
