Three Legged Race aka Robert Beatty makes some pretty insane music in his spare time. With an album on Spectrum Spools and a myriad of Eps on labels like NNA Tapes and American Tapes, they guy has certainly instilled his own brand of wacked-out, non-music. This latest EP for Underwater Peoples is as bizarre as it is gloriously original, with "All Ajax Dial" sound something like cathedralic techno, and "Aside From Each Other & Together Tonight" being on e of the most emotionally evocative synth experimentations that we've heard in a while. "The Humidity Mascot" is definitely our favourite track, however, and its Beatty's characteristic manipulation of sonics which makes him stand apart. TIP!
