Effects pedals

There are thousands of effects pedals on offer, with something to suit every budget and every sound. Effects pedals – sometimes called stomp boxes or FX – were originally targeted at guitar players, but now there are options for everyone, including pedals designed specifically for bass guitars, synths and vocals. Old-school effects pedals were typically simple analogue effects like distortion, overdrive, fuzz, wah and flangers. Modern pedals might also include digital processing, unlocking complex reverbs, delays, loopers and modulation effects like chorus. Electronic producers should look out for pedals which can handle line-level signals, making it easier to hook up synthesisers, modular synths, drum machines, samplers and other pro studio equipment. Some pedals even offer stereo inputs and outputs, meaning you can use them on true stereo signals. Whether you’re looking for a cheap, high-quality distortion or a boutique multi-effects unit, there’s something for everyone.

Empress Effects Echo System Dual Engine Delay Effects Pedal
Cat: 783107 Rel: 24 Sep 20

Delay pedal
Notes: Spanning the gamut of known delay possibilities and beyond, the Echosystem could be the ultimate delay-crafting tool. Faithful emulations of classics like digital, tape and analog delays are numerous, as well as Empress' own take on each of these delay styles. Moving beyond the traditional, the vast amount of sonic ground the Echosystem can cover becomes apparent. Check out the ambient modes when you're feeling chilled out, or perhaps a visit to the multi tap modes for a taste of inspiration.

The Dual Engine functionality allows any 2 of these delays to be used together, routed in either parallel, series, or left/right configurations.

In addition to delays, there's the super-useful reverb combos, which will elevate any guitar part. Oh, and don't forget Whisky mode, best accompanied by a dram of whatever you've got!

The pedal has 12 algorithm types, all with multiple variations. For example, there are 4 different tape delays on tap.

Emulations of classic tape and analog units are available, as well as our take on these types of delay.

All the algorithm controls are sitting on a knob in front of you, no fiddling through laborious menus.

Global tap tempo as well as local tempo with lots of subdivisions are available on all modes, in addition to being able to set the delay time directly with the knob.

Features a signal to noise ratio of >104dB and maintains an analog dry path.

2 delays can be used at the same time, each with its own full set of controls and routed in serial, parallel or left/right.

Settings can be saved to 35 presets. With three stomp switches, accessing the presets is easy.

Bank style or scrolling style preset modes.

It can be configured to run with true bypass or buffered bypass if you want to hear trails.

Cabinet Simulator - 3 variations to choose from, perfect for recording, practicing or for gigs without an amp.

Get hum-free operation when operating in stereo with two amps. Output 2 is isolated with a transformer to eliminate nasty ground loops.

48kHz sampling, with 24 bit conversion and 32 bit internal processing.

Dry signal is left untouched, and blended with the wet signal using VCA. (no zipper noise, hooray!)

The Universal Control Port allows you to connect an expression pedal, external tap switch, control voltage, external audio input and MIDI - all using a standard 1/4" jack!

The Advanced configuration menu lets you configure how your delay works. Select from true or buffered bypass, 0-35 presets, MIDI configuration, Control Port(expression pedal, external tap, control voltage and MIDI) as well as which style of preset system to use, input signal pad, output transformer enable and more!

The enclosure measures approximately 5.7" by 3.75" by 1.75", which is delightfully small when considering all the features packed into this unit.

Noise Engineering Batverb Stereo Reverb Effects Pedal
Cat: 1074016 Rel: 17 Mar 25

Stereo in, stereo out experimental reverb and synthetic tail generator designed for performance and playability.
Notes: Best known for Eurorack synth modules, Noise Engineering's Batverb builds on the brand's extensive experience, offering a performance-focused take on echoes, dynamics and tone.

Supplier's Notes:
Batverb is the stereo reverb that dreams are made of. Taking inspiration from Noise Engineering's famed tail-generating synth modules, Batverb brings reverberation and delay to a whole new level with extensive control of timbre, echoes, and dynamics.

Start by setting a predelay time and adjusting Regen to taste: this will set the length of the tail, from a short slapback-style echo to an infinite wall of reverberation. Add in some chaotic suboctaves with Doom, or some haunting overtones with Shimmer - or both at the same time. If you need to carve the range for your reverb, Batverb has low and high damping settings for the reverb tank. Batverb even has settings for saturation that can be applied to only the reverberant signal, or to the whole output.

Batverb is easy to balance with the rest of the effects in your chain, thanks to its onboard dry/wet Blend control, as well as input and output gain parameters. It also features a unique Duck switch that allows the reverb to duck out of the way of an input signal, or match the dynamics of your playing, similar to a gated reverb.

Batverb was designed to integrate perfectly into your performances. The left switch mutes the input to the reverb and sets the feedback to maximum, creating a wall of sound as long as it's held down. The expression input can also be routed to any parameter on the pedal. Plus, if you're a fan of MIDI, Batverb can store and recall 16 different presets and recall them in response to program change messages.

Batverb is an advanced pedal with state-of-the-art features, but it's incredibly easy to use and immediately fun to play.

Walrus Audio MAKO ACS1 MKII Amplifier & Speaker Cab Simulator Effects Pedal
Cat: 1046285 Rel: 08 Nov 24

Amplifier & speaker cab simulator effects pedal
Notes: The [ACS1] is an amplifier and speaker cab simulator delivering the sound and feel of world-class amplifiers, complimentary speaker cabinet IRs created by Tone Factor and York Audio, and controllable room size. With the ACS1, players have expansive options to deliver their tone on stage, in the studio, or practicing at home. Simple controls, stereo in and out, onboard presets, and MIDI support make the ACS1 an essential tool in a guitarist's arsenal. Players can also load in their own IRs and update firmware.

The ACS1 contains six amplifier models based on fan-favourite amps, each with its place in music history, and twelve cab IRs (Impulse Responses) designed by world-class designers to give you the best tonal representation possible. The stock IRs for the Fullerton, London, and Dartford amp models were custom engineered by David Hislop and Kenyon Reed at Tone Factor, while the stock IRs for the Red, Citrus, and Tread amp models were designed by Justin York at York Audio.

Amplifiers

The ACS1 can mix and match stereo amp and cab combinations. Want to run an AC30-style amp on the left and an Orange-style amp on the right? Or perhaps a 5150 flavoured amp in both channels but with two different cabs for a wider stereo sound? When running the ACS1 in stereo, one amp can be used through both channels, or these combinations can be run independently left and right if you choose, leading to powerful, unique amp tones. Simply press down on the Middle encoder to choose individual settings for L, R, or L+R combined. Amps can be mixed and matched with no phase/polarity issues as well.

Onboard models include:

Three Vintage Amp Models

Fullerton - Inspired by the classically bright and clear Fenderr Deluxe Reverb. Crisp clean tones with loads of headroom that players have come to love over the years.
London - Inspired by a 1962 Marshallr Bluesbreaker with a harmonically rich, valve-driven breakup. Articulate and sensitive response.
Dartford - Inspired by the legendary jangly high-end tones from a 1960s Voxr AC30 with all the bite and chime from the British Invasion.

Three High Gain Amp Models

Red: Inspired by the distinctively raw and punchy Peaveyr 5150, producing heavy, aggressive modern metal and hard rock sounds. Powerful and saturated with a tight low end, strong midrange, and a bright, cutting high end.
Citrus: Inspired by the warm, rich, and harmonically complex Oranger Rockerverb. Classic British gain with a creamy midrange and punchy lows. Maintains clarity and definition across its entire tonal spectrum, even at high-gain settings.
Tread: Inspired by the world-famous Mesa Boogier Dual Rectifier with massive amounts of in-your-face gain. Versatile enough to be favoured by guitarists in genres from hard rock, punk, metal, and more, Tread offers up plenty of saturation that's heavy and ready to cut through the mix.

Cabinet IRs

The ACS1 includes six IRs custom-engineered by David Hislop and Kenyon Reed at Tone Factor and six by Justin York of York Audio. Each IR has been created with vintage and modern amps to deliver the best tonal representation possible.

Additional ACS1 Settings/Features:

Primary Controls

Volume, gain, and room make up the top three knobs. Volume and gain work together, as gain is increased and made louder, volume can be turned down to compensate.

Room The ACS1 has three different types of reverb effects:

Room - Simulates the size of the room that your amp and cabinet are in. At zero, it would resemble tracking your amp in an isolated environment with no reverb. At max would emulate a natural-sounding, large studio environment.

Hall - Simulates the acoustics of a large, live sound space.

Spring - Simulates spring reverb tanks found in tube amps.

Increase the room size or amount of reverb by adjusting the Room knob. The further clockwise you go, the bigger the room. Decay control can be adjusted for room in the Global Sound menu.

Bass/Mid/Treble EQ

Bass, mid, and treble control are adjustable on the home screen with the use of the encoder knobs. The left knob controls bass, the middle is mids, and the right is treble. This simple EQ control has clear visual feedback and can be used to adjust levels on the L, R, and L+R channels.

Noise Gate

A noise gate can be applied and adjusted within the navigation menu, which can be especially helpful when playing with the high-gain amp models.

Amp EQ

Presence and resonance controls are available within Amp EQ Settings in the menu, giving you even more control of your amp tone.

(Access the settings for noise gate, Amp EQ, and more by clicking the bottom left and middle encoder knobs simultaneously).

Bypass IRs or Amps

Cab IRs as well as amp models can both be bypassed with the ACS1, making it more flexible for ampless rigs that still have physical cabs, and vice versa.

Collision Devices TARS DLX Fuzz & Analogue Filter Effect Pedal
Cat: 1062350 Rel: 03 Jan 25

Fuzz and analogue filter effect pedal
Notes: TARS DLX is a dual fuzz with 2 analogue filters inspired by the MS-20.

Probably the only pedal with 4 poles - resonant - Low Pass and High Pass Filters.

It is a stage & studio tool to shape your sound with high precision or an experimental device for loud noise makers.

It is an evolved version of TARS, a robot looking for life in space too. (and a pedal we released a year ago).

Notes from the designers :

Collision Devices took TARS and we pushed it forward.

The Fuzz circuit has been reworked to be opened in high end - so that it can now sound amazing as a low gain fuzz/distortion. The creamy one we all like in those post-hardcore riffs. It is also more aggressive when Gain is maxed out.

+ Collision Devices worked another fuzz (BLAST) which feedbacks a part of the circuit to give this "burning" feeling for HUGE and abrasive sounds.

The frequency response from both filters has been improved to better work on very low end sources with subby bass sounds.

TARS DLX can be used as clean blend on bass or in insert of a track mix.

The "ADD FUZZ" configuration which is found nowhere else is better than ever with the addition of the high pass after the low pass. It adds a filtered fuzz to the fuzz signal so that the filters can be used as EQ shape / phasing effects. This is amazing.

Of course, Fuzz and filters can be used separately in parallel or in serial. This truly is a beast of a dirt and filtering pedal.

Mooer Audio GS1000Li Intelligent Amp Profiling Processor Pedal With Battery (B-STOCK)
Cat: 1093734 Rel: 01 Jan 90

B-STOCK: Box opened, product in perfect working order
Notes: ***B-STOCK: Box opened, product in perfect working order***

In 2025, MOOER has announced that it will be set to release its latest multi-effects pedal, the GS1000 Intelligent Amp Profiling Processor, an augmented intelligent amp profiling processor. Built on MOOER's advanced third-generation digital platform, the GS1000 introduces groundbreaking MNRS 2.0 technology, allowing guitarists around the world to emulate their favorite gear with immense precision -specifically, for distortion pedals, preamps, amplifier heads, and cabinets.

With this innovation, guitarists can fully capture the essence of their favorite guitar gear without owning the physical hardware, enabling them to carry their favorite tones wherever they go. Users are even able to use third-party IRs for cabinets of their choice, further enhancing the flexibility of this feature.

It's unforgettable how much MOOER's multi-effects pedals have impressed audiences so far, primarily thanks to their robust tone libraries. However, even still, the GS1000 continues to build upon this with storage for up to 120 sampling profiles, along with continued integration with the MOOER Cloud app. Essentially, this cloud integration facilitates infinite upload and download possibilities, giving users access to a global community of shared tones, widely expanding the number of accessible tones. More still, the GS1000's previously mentioned third-party IR cabinet simulations support up to 2048 sample points, guaranteeing studio-grade tonal accuracy across the board.

Even more impressive for the price is how the GS1000 inherits the dual-chain effects architecture that made previous MOOER gear so versatile, making it suitable for highly complex usage scenarios. With over 350 factory effects models and a Sub-Patch preset grouping mode, the GS1000 makes it far simpler for users to make seamless transitions between tones, all while maintaining effect tails to guarantee seamless transitions. Additionally, the reintroduction of the innovative AI-driven EQ Master builds upon MOOER devices' previous capabilities, using intelligent adjustments in real-time to match the musical style of players to tones, while still allowing manual tweaks for precise control.

Impressively, the GS1000 also comes packed with a Groove Station module, consisting of a combination of drum machine and looper features - including 56 high-quality drum kits! It offers a 480-second phrase looper with infinite overdubs, automated detection, and synchronization capabilities, resulting in an intuitive platform for solo jamming, composition, and live loop-based performance. Overall, the Groove Station acts as an all-in-one suite for creating full arrangements, without having to depend on additional backing tracks or bandmates.

Visually and functionally, the GS1000 really stands out thanks to its sleek visual design and enhanced user experience. For example, it features a convenient 5-inch high-resolution touch screen, which is also paired with ambient lighting to add a visually stunning element to the pedal. As a result, the GS1000 is not only designed for convenient touch-based control but also as a standout centerpiece in any guitar rig.

In addition to this touchscreen control system, the GS1000 also provides expanded connectivity options, improving upon the already impressive flexibility of past pedals. Most notably, it supports connectivity with the MOOER F4 wireless footswitch, as well as the ability to control presets via external MIDI devices.

As is expected from MOOER these days, the GS1000 also excels when it comes to routing opportunities, going above and beyond the typical stereo 14" inputs and outputs that would be expected from other brands. Yes, it still includes such staples, but it also includes an XLR microphone input, alongside balanced TRS outputs for long-distance signal clarity. The configurable serial/parallel stereo effects loop enables seamless integration of external effects, and the addition of Bluetooth audio input and MIDI compatibility broadens its wide range of use cases for live and practice-based applications.

Furthermore, the pedal also serves as a professional audio solution thanks to its low-latency 2-in/2-out ASIO USB sound card. Supporting up to 192kHz sampling rates, the GS1000 makes recording and live streaming effortless, as it can easily be used with software DAWs, MOOER's editing software, as well as the USB-based MIDI control.

The GS1000 will be available in two versions - the standard white edition, which is powered by mains power, and the GS1000 Li version, which introduces a 7.4V 4750mAh lithium battery, chargeable through its power port. With this upgrade, users can enjoy up to six hours of continuous power-free playtime, making it ideal for practicing, busking, and generally performing on the go.

Overall, for fans of MOOER's previous amp simulation offerings, the GS1000 represents a natural evolution, building on everything that made its predecessors great while introducing cutting-edge features and expanded capabilities. Most importantly, MOOER has promised to continuously update its MOOER 4.0 tonal algorithms on the MOOER Cloud in line with the release, keeping things fresh for the company's dedicated user base.

From the swirling, lush sounds of the 80's to more subtle applications that give your tone a distinct flair, this is a hallmark for all kinds of modulation fans, offering limitless creative potential.

Program Controls
Each program can be fully customized to your taste and playing style with the left encoder knob for features like effect type, BPM, wave shape, and more. Refer to the manual for program-specific features.

Programs
Chorus - From subtle chorus to vibrant and lush tri-chorus that will instantly teleport you to the 80s. Type I is a traditional chorus great for tight smooth chorus tones. Type II finds its roots in the classic tri-chorus effect running three chorus units in parallel for a lush multi-dimensional chorus. Type III transforms into a sweeping, vintage-style flanger, a welcome addition for modulation fans.

Phaser - Classic 70s phaser sounds we all know and love, with added features that you wouldn't expect. Similar to the Lillian, Type I is a 2-stage Phaser that produces a single notch to the classic mild phaser. Type II is a 4-stage model producing 2 notches for a stronger effect. Type III is a phaser modelled after the unique tuning and LFO shape found in a Uni-Vibe.

Tremolo - This program emulates a tremolo with three algorithms containing all the bells, whistles, and stereo spread options. Type I is excellent for traditional sounds similar to optical and bias tremolos that raise and lower the entire frequency range - similar to the Monument in standard mode. Type II is a warm and cozy harmonic tremolo - similar to the Monument in harmonic mode. This unique sound is formed by raising and lowering your high and low frequencies opposite each other. Type III offers several predefined patterns for rhythmic sequenced pulsing tremolo.

Vibrato - Make good parts great with detuned, warbly, and vintage sounds that harken back to the 60s. Type I "Traditional" focuses on standard vibrato sounds. Old record players inspire Type II "Vinyl" with classic RPMs on the rate knob and some noise character you'd find in your dad's old dusty Foreigner LPs. The rate knob can select 33rpm, 45rpm, and 78rpm speeds in this mode. Type III "Tape" is our take on the wow and flutter pitch characters found in old tape players. Warm and charming with a hint of nostalgia.

Rotary - Because you can't fit a Leslie speaker on your pedalboard, Type I aims for that traditional watery sound of a well-oiled Leslie speaker. Type II only spins the horn but still plays the sound out of the drum. Type III only spins the drum but still plays sound from the horn. Further fine-tune the drum sounds by experimenting with mic distance in the program controls.

Filter - Add tone-shaping movement to your signal with different modulated filters. Type I is a lowpass filter good for modulated darker tones. Type II is a highpass filter used to creatively modulate your low frequencies. Type III is a bandpass filter forming a sliding "window" of frequencies.

Resonance, envelope speed, and release can all be adjusted on Filter mode, the result being dynamic sweeping sounds and an expressive touch, commonly heard in blues or funk. This program can be easily run as an Envelope Follower type filter.

Lo-Fi Controls:
The M1 Features 6 Lo-Fi-type global controls to make your High-Fidelity modulation machine sound...not so High-Fidelity. Using the Right encoder knob, take your signal back in time and degrade it to sound like tech of yesteryear then use the Lo-Fi knob to adjust in the overall mix.

Env: Envelope allows you to dynamically open the tone based on how hard you play.
Drive: Drive offers a crunchy analogue-style drive to be added to your signal simulating the warm sound of overdriven analogue circuitry.
Space: Space allows you to add some reverb to your modulation chain. Turn to minimum to disengage and turn up to increase mix and decay.
Age: Age engages a complex set of filters used to simulate the limited bandwidth of vintage audio players and recording equipment. From modern, full-frequency at minimum to subtle low-fidelity tones in lower positions and old, thin AM radio sounds in higher positions.
Noise: Noise adds lo-fi analogue inspired noise to your signal.
Warble: Warble manipulates the main LFO wave shape causing it to deform making interesting and less predictable modulation.

Presets
The M1 can save up to 128 onboard presets, which can be held in a preset bank made accessible by tapping down on the bottom left and bottom middle knobs simultaneously. Presets 0-9 are divided into Banks A, B, and C. Select a bank while in the preset menu. Bank A will cycle through presets 0-2, Bank B will cycle through presets 3-5, and Bank C will cycle through presets 6-9. Presets 10-128 can be accessed through manual selection or MIDI.

Intelligent Amp Profiling Processor.
Notes: In 2025, MOOER has announced that it will be set to release its latest multi-effects pedal, the GS1000 Intelligent Amp Profiling Processor, an augmented intelligent amp profiling processor.

Supplier's Notes:
Delay modes

Digital

Starting as a crisp digital delay, this mode, when paired with the tap footswitch, covers a lot of ground for your delay needs. The "Red" modulator lets you adjust the dampening of the delay, making the repeats either brighter (emulating towards a tape or HIFI sound) or darker

Reverse

Instead of reading the delay buffer in a forward direction like the "Digital" delay we read the buffer backwards creating unique sound possibilities. You can further modify this sound with the "Red" modulator to adjust the dampening of the repeats to grow brighter or darker.

Granular

Takes the delay buffer and chops it up into "Grains" and then plays those grains back. The size of the grains, direction (forward/reverse), the speed (pitch) and location in the buffer is all randomized so every time you experience this mode it will be a unique exploration into granular synthesis. The "Red" modulator allows you to adjust the max size of the randomized "size" of the grains and the amount of grains from 1-5.

Re-sample

What if you want a more complex soundscape like other instruments are playing with you? Re-sample accomplishes this by playing the delay buffer at different speeds which changes the pitch and timing of the delayed phrases creating a more complex musical expression of what you are playing. "Red" lets you adjust the mix of the octave down and the octave up.

Reverb modes

Hall

The least diffused of the reverb modes "Hall" allows you hear the reflective nature of the hallway your sound is in.

Plate

Emulating a classic plate reverb sound that is diffuse and reflective.

Chasm

An exploration into reverb design feedback networks that can allow for unnaturally large decay lengths.

Grim

Takes the "Chasm" mode and splits the output to a parallel octave down so you get the normal output + the octave down for a deep rich soundscape.

Looper modes

Gives you latching control over the rec/dub of your looper.

Momentary

Only rec/dub while holding the rec/dub switch.

Quantise

Works like the latching but will trim your loop to a division of the existing delay time.

MOD ONE and MOD TWO allow you adjust the following modulators

Modulators

Walrus Audio MAKO R1 MKII High-Fidelity Stereo Reverb Effects Pedal
Cat: 1046295 Rel: 20 Nov 24

High-fidelity stereo reverb effects pedal
Notes: The R1 MKII is an extremely powerful and versatile multi-function reverb that can go from intimate, small-room type subtle reverbs to huge, experimental euphoria. With six distinct programs based on fan-favourite reverb sounds that have been built from the ground up, players of all styles and genres will be able to find eternal inspiration with the R1.

Program Controls

Each program can be fully customized to your taste and playing style with the left encoder knob for features like modulation rate, ducking, and more. Refer to the manual for program specific features.

The R1 MKII includes a unique Ducking/Swelling control that modifies the reverb's behavior. Higher settings increase the swelling effect, making it more prominent, while lower settings enhance the ducking effect, helping to maintain a clear and focused mix.

The Right encoder knob adjusts parameters like reverb EQ and room size. See the manual for details.

Programs:
Spring: The Spring program emulates an excited spring reverb commonly found in tube amps with loads of transducing drip. Easily go from subtle to full-on surf rock. Experiment with the decay knob to get more than average amounts of reverb not found in traditional amp spring reverb tanks.
Hall: The Hall program provides the acoustics of large live sound spaces like concert halls to arenas. Longer decays result in a massive wash of ambiance.
Plate: The Plate program emulates a smooth analogue plate reverb with nice even diffusion for the classic plate sound that you know and love.
BFR: BFR is a no holds barred, big, f____, reverb. This is more than a giant arena reverb. It's a hall-esque reverb with rich and lush decay in a vast cavern filled with choirs of angels.
Refract: The RFRCT program allows for lovely, charming, and glitch-like textures hovering over a controllable amount of diffusion. The Rate controls on RFRCT set how often new grains trigger, while Depth controls the amount of modulation applied to the grains. The Time control sets the delay time of the grains, and the size control sets the size of the grains being pulled from the buffer. The diffuse control allows you to take the grains from super dry and stuttery to washed out in a reverb mix.
Air: The Air program offers a larger diffused reverb with a shimmer, as well as a distinct clarity to its decay. Adjust the shimmer control to really lean into that high-octave sound that ambient style artists have come to love over the decades. Explore slow-building complimentary sounds that don't get in the way of your playing.

Presets
The R1 can save up to 128 onboard presets, which can be held in a preset bank made accessible by tapping down on the bottom left and bottom middle knobs simultaneously. Presets 0-9 are divided into Banks A, B, and C. Select a bank while in the preset menu. Strymon Volante Magnetic Delay Effects Pedal
Cat: 1060651 Rel: 23 Jan 25

Magnetic tape & drum style delay with spring reverb & looper
Notes: Volante

Sounds From The Expanse.

Create instant retrofuture atmosphere with evocative vintage delay tones. Activate your imagination with evolving ambient echoes and warm, organic feedback with just the right amount of grit. Sculpt your soundscape in real time as Volante becomes an extension and expansion of your musical instrument. Infuse your pedalboard with stunning vintage vibes that resonate and inspire.

Overview

Delays For Days.

Three Magnetic Delay Types, Spring Reverb, Looper, and More.

Delivering truly exceptional sound quality and intuitive playability, Volante is designed to radically enhance the sonic expressiveness of your pedalboard. Featuring magnetic drum echo, tape echo, and reel-to-reel studio echo, Volante is a stereo multi-head delay that also offers a looper and vintage spring reverb, with powerful sound-sculpting controls for limitless sonic possibilities.

Vintage Vibe.

To capture the nuance and complexity of classic tape and drum echo machines, every last magnetic delay system attribute was relentlessly studied and faithfully recreated. From the sought-after natural saturation and soft clipping of magnetic media when driven hard, to hands-on real-time controls for mechanics, wear, head-spacing, and low cut, Volante instantly adds tons of vibe to your sound.

Multi-Head Maven.
Volante provides the full experience and sonic attributes of iconic multi-head echo machines. At the centre of Volante's control surface are four delay playback heads with individual feedback, panning, and level controls-delivering unlimited creative options right at your fingertips. All of this range allows the creation of complex rhythmic patterns as well as reverb-like atmospheric textures.

Drum Delay With Unprecedented Control.

Magnetic drum echoes are famous for their warmth and for their harmonically rich and saturated sounds. This is due in large part to the many tube stages present in the most sought-after units. There were tubes in the input buffer, the signal mixer, the record and playback amplifiers, the tone shaping circuit, and the output mixing circuit.

Every sonic aspect of Strymon's favourite drum echoes has been meticulously reproduced within Volante. Dial in any possible sound from the full range of the best vintage drum echo units in conditions ranging from fresh-from-factory to road-worn classic.

Classic Tape Echo Experience.

Volante gives you superbly crafted multi-head tape echoes, including the smooth tape saturation and the characteristic imperfections and nonlinearities inherent to the sound of those vintage machines.

Mechanical alignment, head wear, and tape crinkles, splices, and contaminants are all accounted for in Volante, giving you all the richness and complexity of a classic tape echo, with modern control and stability. Volante also allows you to recreate the irregular head spacing of some of the classic tape echo machines.

True Studio Tape Sound.

The professional reel-to-reel machines of the 50s and 60s were high-fidelity units built to accurately reproduce full-range audio signals. In the hands of creative engineers, these machines also doubled as some of the earliest studio effects, producing some of the fattest sounds imaginable.

Of Volante's three magnetic echo types, the Studio Echo provides the cleanest sound, able to sustain the highest number of repeats with minimal degradation. Volante gives you a pristine studio delay with the full-bodied warmth and fidelity of reel-to-reel tape.

Completely Analogue Dry Path.

In a typical digital effect the dry signal gets converted to digital, causing conversion noise and latency. Signals are often attenuated before combining digital dry and wet, with makeup gain amplifying the conversion noise. To avoid this, Strymon have equipped Volante with a completely analogue dry path, featuring all-analogue, ultra low noise, discrete, class-A stereo JFET preamps. Volante is truly a studio-quality effect.

Insanely Powerful DSP.

Strymon have outfitted Volante with the incredibly powerful Analog Devices SHARC ADSP-21375 processor, which provides a 266 MHz core instruction rate, and an incredible 1.596 Gigaflops of peak performance. Thanks to this high-powered technology platform within Volante, Strymon had the freedom to craft this processor-intense echo algorithms without compromise.

EarthQuaker Devices Avalanche Run v2 Stereo Reverb & Delay Effects Pedal With Tap Tempo
Cat: 781595 Rel: 28 Jul 20

Stereo reverb & delay effects pedal with tap tempo
Notes: The Avalanche Run is a dreamy stereosonic exploratory multi-tool that includes up to 2 seconds of delay time, reverse delay, tap tempo with subdivision control, switchable true bypass or buffered bypass with 5 different tail lengths (including a sound-on-sound style lo-fi looping mode) and an assignable expression control that maps the expression jack to a control of your choice, including the toggle! The delay section allows tweaking from tape emulation to bucket brigade styles with a twist of the wide-range Tone control. The cavernous, plate-style reverb has just a touch of modulation similar to the one found in our precious Dispatch Master only more lush with an adjustable Decay. Otherworldly reverse delay and dynamic swelling reverb settings are accessible through a 3-way toggle switch. And that's just the beginning...

1. Time: This controls the delay time and goes from 0ms to just under 2000ms.

2. Repeats: Controls the regeneration of the delay, from zero repeats to near infinite.

3. Tone: Controls the tone for the delay line only. Roll off highs to the left, roll off lows to the right and get a flat response in the middle.

4. Mix: The is the volume control for the delay line. This blends in the wet with dry until 1 o'clock, 1 o'clock to 3 o'clock boosts the wet signal over the dry and 3 o'clock up brings down dry until it is fully wet when all the way up.

5. Expression Jack Assign Switch: Use this switch to map the expression jack to one of the assigned controls.

Decay: Controls the reverb decay length

R Mix: Controls the reverb mix

Time: This takes over for the delay time control and is DRASTICALLY different than the interface control. Using the expression pedal to control the time will give you all kinds of wild effects that can not be achieved by turning the knob.

Repeats: Controls the delay repeats

D Mix: Controls the delay mix

Toggle: This takes over for the toggle switch and will cross fade from forward delay in heel down position to reverse delay in toe down position.

6. Ratio Selector Switch: Selects delay subdivisions when time is set by the "Tap" switch.

1/1: Quarter Note

3/4: Dotted 8th

2/3: Quarter Note Triplet

1/2: 8th Note

1/3: 8th Note Triplet

1/4: 16th Note

7. Decay: Controls the decay length of the reverb, short decay counterclockwise, long cavernous decay clockwise.

8. Toggle Switch (Mode Selector)

Normal: This is the standard delay and reverb mode

Reverse: This is reverse delay mode with standard reverb

Swell: This is the volume swell mode

9. Mix: This is the volume control for the reverb. Blends in the wet with dry until 1 O'clock, 1 O'clock to 3 O'clock boosts the wet signal over the dry and 3 O'clock up brings down dry until it is fully wet when all the way up.

The expression jack is located on the west side of the pedal. It is a TRS jack with the tip acting as the wiper.

Using a Moog expression pedal, with the output adjustment knob all the way up, is recommended. Any other expression pedal is not guaranteed to work with the Avalanche Run.

This device features Flexi-Switchr Technology! This relay-based, true bypass switching style allows you to simultaneously use momentary and latching style switching.

For standard latching operation, tap the footswitch once to activate the effect and then tap again to bypass.

For momentary operation, hold the footswitch down for as long as you'd like to use the effect. Once you release the switch the effect will be bypassed.

Since the switching is relay based, it requires power to pass signal.

For best results, please use the included 9v center-negative 1-amp DC power supply.

Strymon El Capistan V2 dTape Echo Effects Pedal
Cat: 1059522 Rel: 22 Jan 25

Tape delay pedal offering three different types of tape machine
Notes: Plug in, play a note or chord, and you feel it: All the warm, saturated, distinctive qualities and subtle nuances of vintage tape echo combine to instantly create an unmistakable atmosphere. Everything from classic slapback echoes to psychedelic space explorations have stunning richness and depth, responding to each note and knob turn in a musically inspiring way.

El Capistan provides three different tape machine types in one pedal, each with three unique modes and extensive control over tape quality, machine health and tone shaping. Styrmon's meticulously handcrafted dTape technology and powerful ARM DSP give you a range of tape experiences that would be unattainable with a single traditional tape machine. Plus you get sound on sound looping, all without the headaches of tape machine maintenance and repair.

The second generation El Capistan keeps the same rich magnetic tape echo tones from our original and adds significant new features, incorporating technological advancements, hardware improvements and design enhancements to give you additional flexibility, power, and ease of use on stage and in the studio. Full MIDI implementation means you can control just about every switch, knob, and setting remotely by sending MIDI commands from your controller or DAW via El Capistan's EXP/MIDI jack or USB-C connection. Delay time can be synchronized via MIDI Clock Sync, and the sync setting can be saved for each preset. 300 MIDI preset locations are available for loading and saving your favorite settings.

A premium analogue JFET input circuit ensures superb responsiveness to your playing, and you can select mono or stereo input with the flick of a rear panel switch. All this, plus a new ARM DSP chip provides more processing power for every sonic nuance, with less energy consumption on your pedalboard.

Some classic tape echo machines included small integrated spring reverb tanks tuned for limited bandwidth. For El Capistan, we captured this vintage vibe while creating a spring reverb algorithm with a gorgeous, gentle character that stands on its own, in addition to enhancing delayed signals.

Noise Engineering Dystorpia Digital Fuzz/Overdrive Effects Pedal
Cat: 1038832 Rel: 30 Aug 24

Digital fuzz & overdrive effects pedal
Notes: Digital fuzz/overdrive pedal designed to provide a vast array of overdriven tonalities from traditional to futuristic.

Noise Engineering's Dystorpia digital overdrive/fuzz pedal is designed to give a vast array of tonalities from traditional to futuristic. Inspired by the innovative synthesizer company's Eurorack line, Dystorpia is not based on any pedal on your board. Dystorpia excels in creating ripping and gritty tones not found via traditional distortion, fuzz, and overdrive pedals.

Dystorpia features multiple distortion types that work well together for a unique sound. Fold flips soundwaves at a threshold, creating grit and gnarl. It interacts with Pura, a multi-band full-wave rectifier that adds a harmonic buzzy fuzz. The Tone and MidBand parameters work together for exquisite control over tone, from bassy to high to scoop. Add an expression pedal or control voltage in for emotive control over the voicing.

If you're looking for more low end, turn the DOOM switch up to add a lower octave or to emphasize the lower octave for a blown sub effect. Dystorpia also features a dynamics control that can enable an envelope that shapes the output to match the input allowing playing dynamics to make it through the distortion. Dystorpia also has an optional smart Noise Gate that lowers the output level when there is no input.

Use Freeze to loop a sound. Tap the button once to latch or hold down for momentary-like effects.

From subtle overdriven tones to harsh and chaotic mangling, each knob is optimized to allow for maximum exploration and dynamic interaction with the other parameters to access a huge spectrum of possibilities.

Tech Specs:

Input/Output: 1/4" Mono
Power: 9V DC Center Negative, 2.1mm connector

Source Audio Artifakt Lo-Fi Elements Effects Pedal
Source Audio Artifakt Lo-Fi Elements Effects Pedal (modulation/time/filter effects pedal)
Cat: 1028703 Rel: 12 Jul 24

Lo-fi modulation, reverb, bit-reduction & filter effects pedal
Notes: The ARTIFAKT Lo-fi Elements is the first pedal of its kind - a comprehensive collection of all the hazy, scratchy, wobbly, and broken tones that epitomize the term 'lo-fi'.

Like a mega-delay or mega-reverb, Artifakt is a "one-stop shop" for all the most sought-after lo-fi effects including old vinyl replications, tape modulation and saturation, bit crushing, sample rate reduction, dark reverb and echo, filtering, compression, glitch, and more.

Source Audio has dedicated much of the past three years to meticulously honing each of these sounds as well as engineering an entirely new hardware design with an easyto-use interface that places the pedal's full capabilities at your fingertips.

Navigating through the seven positions of Artifakt's effect selector knob unleashes a symphony of sonic transformations, each akin to engaging a new pedal with its own unique brand of lo-fi.

The first effect on the dial is Radio, tune into its crackling nostalgic tones where static frequency filtering and noise generation evoke the charm of a vintage radio struggling to dial in a signal.

The Tape engine conjures the sound of vintage tape machines by blending subtle compression, overdrive, tape flutter, and pitch modulation to invoke effects like slapback, chorus, doubling, and tape saturation.

uVerb is a primitive reverb effect with bouncing echoes similar to the reverb on 8-bit gaming systems.

The Crush effect voyages the realm of bit-depth quantizing and sample rate reduction, all finely sculpted with the resonance of a MoogTM-style ladder filter.

Ladder, inspired by the revered R-2R ladder filter, offers both envelope and LFO modulation control for classic and dramatic filter sweep effects.

Vinyl faithfully emulates the crackle and pop of vintage records, from pristine 180-gram vinyl to well-loved gramophone platters.

Glitch adds an unpredictable edge, capturing fragments of your performance and hurling them back at random speeds and pitches.

Pairing the Artifakt Lo-fi Elements with Source Audio's completely reimagined and reengineered Neuro 3.0 software elevates an already great pedal to new heights. Access free, stage-ready presets from Neuro's expanding library of factory and Neuro Community presets.

Explore Neuro's extensive editing capabilities to blend and experiment with the various lo-fi elements mentioned earlier-it's a limitless effects palette for crafting unique lo-fi sounds. Artifakt also boasts stereo inputs and outputs, full MIDI control via the 3.5mm TRS in and thru jacks, dual footswitches, 128 presets, and more.

Walrus Audio MAKO D1 MKII High-Fidelity Stereo Delay Effects Pedal
Cat: 1046287 Rel: 20 Nov 24

High-fidelity stereo delay effects pedal
Notes: The D1 MKII is a feature-packed, high-fidelity all-in-one delay pedal with six algorithms for players to choose from: Digital, Mod, Vintage, Dual, Reverse, and Grain. The D1 can create inspirational delay trails ranging from dreamlike and bizarre, to rhythmic and clear, to warm and analogue sounding.

Program Controls:
Each program can be fully customized to your taste and playing style with the left encoder knob, which controls six parameters on all programs of the D1: Depth, Rate, Shape, Age, Tone, and Spread.

The Right encoder knob adjusts BPM, Swell, and Tap Division. BPM can also be set via the tap tempo switch or MIDI. Some programs will have additional options. See the manual for details.

Programs:
Digital - The Digital delay program offers a clean and crystal-clear delay that is perfect for rhythmic guitar parts where ultra-defined echoes are desired.

Mod - The Mod delay program has unique modulation LFOs applied to random repeats and run at multiple rates to create unpredictable pitch modulation. This results in unique sounding repeats perfect for warping minds and scattering trains of thought.

Vintage - The Vintage program allows for analogue tape delay-inspired tones to be achieved with complex filtering applied to the repeats. Use the tone knob at low settings for darker filtering and at higher settings to roll off the low end.

Dual - The Dual program employs two delays, one in each channel and both with different repeat subdivisions. The user has complete control over these subdivisions for both the L and the R channel, and can also choose to run their channel feedback in parallel, ping pong, or series. This effect can leave some jaw dropping trails, especially in stereo.

Reverse - The Reverse program reads the delay memory backward creating a unique delay repeat character known as a reverse delay. Select whether your repeats stay always reversed, or follow an analogue reverse feedback system where the repeats flip flop.

Grain - The Grain program can be as smooth, choppy, glitchy, or flowy as you want it to be, and for users who may want to try their hand at experimenting a little, this will be the perfect program for them to explore. The grain trails can be adjusted to short staccato sounding glitches, or opened up for full immersion. It's a whole new world, but the player is still firmly in control.

Presets:
The D1 can save up to 128 onboard presets, which can be held in a preset bank made accessible by tapping down on the bottom left and bottom middle knobs simultaneously.

With the ability to use two patches at once with A/B Simul mode, the MD-500 can likely cover all your mod needs with one convenient pedal. And by inserting drive pedals in the MD-500's flexible external loop, it's easy to place mod effects before, after, or around the loop as needed for the very best sound.

Twelve Modes and 28 Mod Effect Types

The MD-500 includes 12 modes with 28 different mod effect algorithms, and every one of them has been newly developed specifically for this pedal. All the go-to standards are here: chorus, vibrato, flanger, phaser, tremolo, rotary, classic vibe, and ring mod. Auto wah and touch wah effects are on hand too, plus BOSS originals like Slicer and Overtone. Slicer fans will welcome the ability to program custom patterns, an additional feature to the original SL-20 Slicer pedal. And with the MD-500's spot-on recreation of Roland's Dimension D from the 1980s, you can add amazing width and depth with one of the most revered studio rack effects of all time.

Prime Tone

For the MD-500, standard effects like chorus, flanger, phaser, and others have been refreshed with BOSS's advanced new Prime algorithms. Using ultra-fast, high-powered DSP and the latest technology, BOSS engineers have reimagined these essential effects for enhanced expression, extended range, and maximum transparency. With an array of adjustable parameters per type, you have a massive range of sound-shaping potential at your fingers. Some effects even have all-new parameters never seen in BOSS effects before, such as the "Bell" and "Sweetness" settings included in the Prime Chorus algorithm.

Extraordinary Sound

The MD-500 features 32-bit/96 kHz AD/DA, exceeding all industry standards for pedal-based effects. All internal processing is 32-bit floating point and runs at a 96 kHz sampling rate as well, delivering pristine sonic quality that goes beyond the highest-level digital processors used in top pro studios. And with selectable true-bypass or buffered-bypass operation, you can choose the best setting to suit the needs of any pedalboard setup.

Advanced Interface, Intuitive Operation

The MD-500 is equipped with a large LCD that clearly shows the patch name and other vital performance information. It also makes it easy to view and adjust the unit's deep editing parameters and advanced control features. With the grab-and-go panel knobs, you have top-level access to essential adjustments like depth and effect level, plus two parameter controls that change dynamically with the selected effect type. And via USB, you can connect with the free MD-500 Editor/Librarian on your computer for remote editing, patch backup, and more.

A/B Simul Mode and Insert Loop Function

A/B Simul mode further extends the MD-500's versatility by letting you run two patches at once. A selectable series or parallel connection enables all sorts of tone-shaping possibilities, and you can even send each effect to its own separate output if you like. The MD-500 also features an external loop that lets you insert gain and drive pedals and set the ideal effect order on a per-patch basis. For example, you can place a phaser or classic vibe before a drive pedal in one patch, and a chorus or flanger after the drive in the next. And when you're in A/B Simul mode, it's even possible to position the loop between two different mod effects.

Empress Bass Para EQ MK2 EQ/Boost Effects Pedal
Cat: 1090338 Rel: 21 May 25

A dedicated tool for low-end tone shaping, built from the ground up with bassists in mind.
Notes: Empress have brought back the most sought after Parametric EQ pedal with groundbreaking updates.

More Control

Whether you're trying to cut through a mix or fix a feedback issue, you need precision! The ParaEq MKII offers the most control of any pedal EQ on the market.

More Power

The ParaEq MKII pedals operates internally at 27V, providing clean headroom without unwanted clipping.

More Purity

We're able to offer the most control without degradation to the tone due to minimal circuit topology0 the opposite of graphic EQs.

Which ParaEq Do You Need?

The original ParaEq has been loved and trusted by musicians on a variety of instruments for over a decade. Both the ParaEq MKII and the ParaEq MKII Deluxe feature a low-noise, transparent signal path that is extremely versatile.

With three fully parametric bands, you can simultaneously achieve broad tonal shaping and precise fine-tuning to sculpt your perfect sound.

The ParaEQ MKII Deluxe will appeal to players who:

Need high-pass and low-pass filters for precision work at the frequency extremes
Want the glorious sound of Baxandall filters for sparkling high end or extra weight in the low end
Want to be prepared for any EQ situation

Why Parametric over Graphic EQ?

Graphic equalizers provide a convenient visual sense of the EQ curve. However, there is a tradeoff in transparency and precision.

The ParaEq MKII Deluxe excels in precision and transparency compared to a standard 7-band graphic EQ pedal. When both are set to provide a boost, the ParaEq MKII Deluxe offers a much more focused adjustment, affecting only the targeted frequencies. In contrast, the graphic EQ alters a broader range of the frequency spectrum. Moreover, while the ParaEq keeps the rest of the signal unchanged, the graphic EQ can unintentionally reduce other parts of the signal. This makes the ParaEq MKII Deluxe a more transparent and accurate tool for shaping your sound.

This combination of transparency and precision is why recording studio control rooms are dominated by parametric equalizers, and why they're a great choice for creative and corrective EQ on your pedalboard.

Strymon Iridium Amplifier & IR Cab Simulator Effects Pedal
Cat: 1059666 Rel: 21 Jan 25

An ampplifier & cab simulator pedal that imitates three iconic amplifiers, with a total of nine impulse response speaker cabinets that complement the tonality of the amp.
Notes: Iridium

Leave Your Amp At Home.

Nothing reveals the true nature of your guitar and your playing like a world-class tube amp driving a perfectly matched speaker cabinet in a great sounding room. Now there is a pedal that truly delivers that sound and feel, with simple controls for effortlessly dialling in the perfect amp tone when going direct. Discover inspiring tube amp responsiveness, unprecedented impulse response speaker cabinet realism, and controllable natural sounding room ambience.

Iridium gives you three iconic amplifiers, with a total of nine impulse response speaker cabinets that complement the tonality of the amp. Skip the hassle of lugging around or miking amps. Place Iridium on your pedalboard and send gorgeous stereo amplifier tones, stunningly realistic cabs, and lush room ambience direct to a recording interface or PA system. With Iridium, it's a snap to dial in a direct tone that will truly inspire and sound great whether you are monitoring through in-ears, floor wedges, reference monitors, or studio headphones.

Three Iconic Amplifiers

The Matrix Modeling process captures all the subtleties and unique tonal qualities of each amplifier. Strymon have taken three iconic tube amps with distinct characters and mathematically modelled every aspect of their circuitry with absolute precision to deliver the response, feel, and inspiring experience of playing through the original amps at their best. Taking the process a step further, Strymon have hot-rodded each amp to provide an extended range of tonal options beyond what was available from the original designs.

Nine Stereo IR Cabinets

Iridium's speaker cabinets offer a level of realism and responsiveness unprecedented in outboard effects. Iridium delivers full stereo 24bit 96kHz resolution for the entire 500 milliseconds of its speaker cabinet impulse responses. Until now, IRs of this resolution have only been available for use within studio recording software. Iridium's breakthrough technology means you can use the very best impulse responses available, bringing maximum realism to your pedalboard.

Adjustable Room Ambience

Iridium's hybrid room reverb combines a 256 millisecond stereo impulse response with Strymon's reverb tank algorithm for extended decay. This combination places your amp and cab in a natural sounding room (small, medium, or large), creating a space for your amp to open up and breathe.

Round Amp - Based on* a Fender Deluxe Reverb

The Deluxe is one of the most recorded amps in history for good reason. This amp is clean, bright, and mid-scooped, with plenty of headroom. At higher Drive settings it delivers an overdriven sound unique to its architecture. Strymon chose the Deluxe's Normal channel for its round tone that plays well with pedals. While preserving access to all the tones originally available with this channel, our model gives you something extra: a midrange control. With the midrange at noon, you get the original fixed-resistor value and standard tonal characteristics of the Deluxe. Turn down the midrange for a more scooped sound, or turn it up for tweed-era tones.

Chime Amp - Based on* the Brilliant channel of a Vox AC30

The amp that defined the guitar sound of the British Invasion. Our model of the AC30 Brilliant channel (Top Boost) is jangly, bright, and chimey, providing air for subtle passages with a light touch, and bite when you want to dig in. For this amp, the Middle knob acts a Tone Cut knob, providing high-end roll-off just before the power tubes, per the original AC30 design. In addition to the full available gain of the original amp, toward the top end of the Drive knob's range of travel, Strymon have added a frequency-shaped front end boost to tighten the low end while driving the amp further into saturation.

Punch Amp - Based on* a Marshall Plexi (Super Lead model number 1959)

This powerful amp is meatier, with higher gain than the other two amps, and has a powerful midrange response. This amp features a buttery, smooth overdrive. At higher Drive settings it will deliver all the high gain distortion and growl this amp is known for, and then some. Setting the Drive control at around 2 o'clock gets you the maximum gain the original Plexi design allowed. Beyond that, our model has some additional gain on tap, giving you access to custom hot-rodded Plexi high gain tones.

Walrus Audio Sloer Stereo Ambient Reverb Effects Pedal (black)
Cat: 959527 Rel: 28 Jul 23

Stereo ambient reverb effects pedal.
Notes: The Sloer Stereo Ambient Reverb builds on our popular Slo lineup but adds two additional reverb algorithms, stereo width control, two additional modulation wave shapes, and the ability to control the sample rate. Now you can create immersive, lush, modulated, sleepy, and ambient soundscapes with more width and depth than ever before.

Save your favourite dreamscapes with three onboard presets by simultaneously pressing and holding down on the bypass and sustain switches. Scroll through them by simultaneously pressing and releasing bypass and sustain.

The five-way rotary dial allows five different reverb modes - the three you know and love from the Slo: Dark (Lower Octave), Rise (Ambient Swell), and Dream (Latching Pad); and the addition of two new modes: Rain (Delay Tap Diffusion) and Light (High Octave Shimmer). Secondary functions on the dial change between five different wave shapes for modulation on the reverb trail.

Combine deep modulation, long washy trails, and an immersive stereo field to experience Sloer.

5 reverb modes:

DARK - Add a lower octave to your reverb trail. Here you'll create deep and wide atmospheric sounds and channel nightmarish soundscapes. X knob sets the level of a -1 octave signal that feeds the reverb.

RISE - This is an auto-swell reverb for beautiful cinematic swells. Don't rush it. Let it breathe and gently wake up. X knob sets the amount of time it takes the reverb to swell in after a note is played. Set lower for shorter rise times and higher for longer rise times.

DREAM - Lush reverb with a latching pad function. Press the sustain switch to latch signal. Experiment with the X knob to add vibrato over the pad. Press sustain again and the pad will decrescendo according to where the decay knob is set. X knob sets the depth of vibrato applied to the reverb trail.

RAIN - Tappy and trippy, this program creates a unique effect with lower levels of diffusion allowing the reverb delay taps to audible create an echo-like effect within your reverb. Use the Xcontrol to set the amount of diffusion of the delay taps.

LIGHT - Bright and smooth reverb with an octave-up shimmer. Create a range of ethereal sounds with the X slider, keep it low for a smooth pad-like reverb or push it higher for a bright shimmer effect.

5 wave shapes

The Sloer also features five different wave shapes accessible by holding down bypass while switching the algorithm dial.

Sine - Smooth and even pitch up and down modulation.
Warp - Asymmetric pitch up modulation similar to a warped record.
Sink - Asymmetric pitch down modulation for sinking detune similar to a Bigsby.
Square - Symmetric pitch up and down modulation for stepped modulation.
Random - Uses sample and hold that picks new random values.

Momentary functions

Bypass: When the switch is in the off position, press and hold to temporarily activate the effect to add a moment of reverb texture. Releasing the switch turns the effect off, and fades it out.

Sustain: When pressed, the decay switch ramps up the reverb trail to maximum creating a long dreamy reverb trail, and then ramps back down to the decay knob setting when released. In the "Dream" algorithm, the sustain switch is latching. Press it once to capture and sustain the current reverb decay for extremely long pad-like sounds. Press it again to let the reverb trail taper off, based on the position of the decay knob.

Trails mode

The Sloer can run in trails or no trails mode. In trails mode, when you turn the pedal off, the reverb decay dies off naturally. In no trails mode, the decay is abruptly cut off when you turn the pedal off. To toggle between either mode, hold down the bypass switch for 1 second while applying power to the pedal. Unplug power and repeat to toggle to the other mode.

Preset spillover

When scrolling through presets, there is only preset spillover if the next preset is the same algorithm as the one preceding it. For example, if your red and green presets are both in Dream mode, switching from red to green will not cut your reverb trails.

Specs

The Sloer comes in a Lollipop Blue finish with light blue and off white ink featuring original artwork by Christi Du Toit OR a matte black finish with cream ink.
The die-cast enclosure's exact size is 4.79" x 3.62" x 2.25" including knobs.

KMA Machines Endgame Duality Calibrator Effects Pedal
Cat: 995968 Rel: 01 Jul 24

Duality calibrator effects pedal
Notes: Designed as the ultimate choice for the end of your signal chain, Endgame is a stereo pedal with a seriously clever design. An effects loop, amp/cabinet/room simulation and double-tracking features are among the options on offer.

Supplier's Notes:
After years of development work, ENDGAME is KMA Machine's most ambitious creation to date. A highly flexible and comprehensive solution for the end of your signal chain, ENDGAME is a superb problem solver and a convenient creative companion.

Talk about feature packed! With an integrated Stereo FX loop, KMA's proprietary True Double-Tracker doubler and own DUAL IR cab with power amp simulation, an Aux Input (also via Bluetooth), real pro-level XLR outputs and extensive routing options, ENDGAME really is a powerhouse for your board, whether touring as a fly rig or practicing at home with headphones.

And now, you can finally use all your stereo devices with just one easy to use and compact product - let the alchemy begin!

It's no secret that over the past few years stereo pedals have become a huge part of many musician's rigs. While many regular tones can (and should) be mono, KMA are very much fond of stereo effects. But why is it so hard to use them either at home or on the stage? Without the luxury of 2 amps (plus the ability to turn them up if you have them) or for owners of cab/amp simulators that are usually mono input by design, monitoring stereo effects properly can end up being so difficult that many just end up running their stereo effects in mono and therefore lose many of their spatial creativity nuances.

Doubling guitars in recording is also a common practice in a variety of musical styles. In many cases, a single guitarist will record the same track twice with each separate recording being spread to the left and right channels. The effect of this is unmistakable to the ear and the slight differences and nuances between the two separate performances complement each other to create a noticeable thickness, density and weight to the musical experience. This is hard to get sounding right live too. Note this is not the same thing as simple doublers (that just delay one signal with a modulation) or ADT type solutions that are on the market today.

So, KMA developed ENDGAME. KMA wanted to make an easy-to-use product that gives the essentials of good tone, nothing more and nothing less. While from the front panel it might look like ENDGAME has lots of controls, compared to many hidden menus and screens in many other products, all means that it is also deceptively simple to use, despite the huge complexity of what's going on inside!

Stereo FX Loop

A Stereo FX Loop isn't a new thing, but in ENDGAME's case it is probably one of the most usable, making this a killer feature!

For maximum flexibility, the serial loop features routing that can exist either before or after the IR loader and/ or Doubler (when active). Buffered for the sake of long cable runs and to maximise signal clarity, you can now hear your stereo pedals and other effects in their true pristine glory! Plus, you can quickly switch the loop on or off via the convenient soft footswitch.

True Double Tracker

Whether playing live or recording with a single instrument, the KMA ENDGAME's True Double Tracker provides the perfect solution for adding a "fatness" and "width" to your performances and really feels like you are playing the same riff twice!

Enabled via the footswitch, the doubler accurately replicates the minor differences that could exist within two separate recordings and the width control can spread your doubled tracks anywhere from completely centred (0%) to 50% left and right (centre indent) and 100% left and right split.

EarthQuaker Devices Pyramids Stereo Flanging Effects Pedal
Cat: 781712 Rel: 28 Jul 20

Stereo flanging effects pedal
Notes: Pyramids is a Stereo Flanging Device with five presets, eight flanger modes, tap tempo, tap subdivision, a multifunction Modify control, positive and negative Feedback, and a variable Mix control, which is something you don't see on a flanger every day.

Built upon the same proprietary DSP architecture as the Avalanche Run™, Pyramids delivers convincing jet-engine roar, authentic through-zero tape-style warble, infinite barber pole sweeps, flexible I/O routing, and the ability to re-trigger the LFO cycle via footswitch opens up a fourth dimension of rhythmic possibilities that's sure to tickle your third ear.

Controls:
1. Manual: Controls the delay time of the modulated signal. Manual can also be controlled via expression pedal.

2. Rate: Controls the speed of the LFO as well as the rise time in Trigger Up mode and fall time in Trigger Down mode. The Rate control has three ranges of operation: Slow, Normal and Fast. These modes are selected by the Rate & Tap toggle switch.

3. Width: Controls the frequency range of the LFO sweep. You might also think of it as a depth control for the LFO.

4. Mix: This is the volume control for the modulated signal. The modulated signal gets louder when you turn it clockwise and quieter when you turn it counterclockwise.

5. Activate Footswitch: The activate switch features our Flexi-Switch technology! This relay-based true-bypass switch allows for momentary or latching operation.

6. Feedback: Regeneration control for the modulated signal.

7. Rate & Tap Toggle Switch: Normal (center position) is 1:1. The tempo you tap in is the tempo Pyramids will spit out. When set to Slow (left position), the tempo you tap is divided for a slower sweep. When set to Fast (right position), the tempo you tap is multiplied and delivers a faster sweep.

8. Modify: The behavior of this control depends upon which mode you're using:

Classic: Tone control for the modulated signal. Clockwise cuts the low end and allows the high frequencies to pass through. Counterclockwise cuts the high end and allows bass frequencies to pass through.

Through-Zero: Delay time for the unmodulated dry signal. This controls where in the LFO cycle the through-zero point occurs, which is where you'll hear the most drastic cancellation.

Barber Pole Up: Tone control for the modulated signal. Clockwise from center is a high pass filter. Counterclockwise from center is a low pass filter.

Barber Pole Down: Tone control for the modulated signal. Clockwise from center is a high pass filter. Counterclockwise from center is a low pass filter.

Trigger Up: Sensitivity control for the sweep. This controls how quickly the re-triggering reacts to your pick attack.

Trigger Down: Sensitivity control for the sweep. This controls how quickly the re-triggering reacts to your pick attack.

Step: Adjusts the glide between steps. Low Modify settings produce sharp, stair-stepped transitions between steps. Higher Modify settings introduce a smoother glissando effect.

Random: Adjusts the glide between steps. Low Modify settings produce sharp, stair-stepped transitions between steps. Higher Modify settings introduce a smoother glissando effect.

9. Tap / Trigger Footswitch: In Classic, Through-Zero, Barber Pole Up, Barber Pole Down, Step, and Random modes, this footswitch is a tap tempo control. In Trigger Up and Trigger Down modes, this footswitch triggers the effect whenever it is pressed.

10. Presets Rotary Switch: Selects between Live mode and one of five presets. Pyramids comes with our favorites programmed in, but you're allowed to re-write them if you want. We don't mind.

11. Mode Rotary Switch: Selects between Pyramids' eight flanger modes

Tech Specs:
Flexi-Switchr Technology
This device features Flexi-Switchr Technology! This relay-based, true bypass switching style allows you to simultaneously use momentary and latching style switching.

For standard latching operation, tap the footswitch once to activate the effect and then tap again to bypass.

For momentary operation, hold the footswitch down for as long as you'd like to use the effect. Once you release the switch the effect will be bypassed.

Since the switching is relay based, it requires power to pass signal.

For best results, please use the included 9v center-negative 1-amp DC power supply.

To use with multiple output transformer-balanced isolated pedal-specific power supplies, Pyramids' may be powered from two outlets combined using a current-doubling cable. DO NOT USE A VOLTAGE-DOUBLING CABLE BECAUSE THAT WILL SEND 18V TO PYRAMIDS AND FRY IT LIKE AN OVEREASY EGG AT A GREAZY SPOON DINER.

Dimensions: 4.65 x 4.15 x 2.25 in. (118 x 105 x 57 mm) with knobs
Current Draw: 460 mA
Input Impedance: 1 MO
Output Impedance: 100 O

Strymon DIG V2 Dual Digital Delay Effects Pedal
Cat: 1059518 Rel: 22 Jan 25

digital delay pedal offering three voicings
Notes: DIG unearths the true soul of digital delay and doubles it; two simultaneous, integrated delays with captivating rack delay voicings from the 1980s and today, for incredible expressive potential. Rack-mount digital delays of the '80s ushered in a new era of audio effects. The innovative electronic designs generated the cleanest delays that had yet been heard, but also created their own special and intriguing sonic characteristics. Thirty-plus years later, these sounds remain as distinctive and inspiring as ever.

Strymon's thorough investigation of digital delay technology reveals the unique personalities that these delays possess. Delve into DIG's three digital delay voicings: the early '80s adaptive delta modulation mode, the mid-'80s 12 bit pulse code modulation mode, and the modern high-resolution 24/96 mode. The second generation DIG keeps the same distinctive rack-mount digital delay tones from Strymon's original and adds significant new features, incorporating technological advancements, hardware improvements and design enhancements to give you additional flexibility, power, and ease of use on stage and in the studio.

Full MIDI implementation means you can control just about every switch, knob, and setting remotely by sending MIDI commands from your controller or DAW via DIG's EXP/MIDI jack or USB-C connection. Each tremolo is equipped with independent Speed, Depth and Volume controls and can be used separately as stand-alone effects (or combined) to create rich, unique and percussive sounds.

Each tremolo side has different LED indicators (red for Harmonic, blue for Optical and magenta for Combined). These LEDs also visually display each section's speed, making it easy to sync the two tremolos together.

The TWIN TREM boasts four top-mounted jacks, allowing versatile signal routing. You can run it like a standard pedal, routing the signal in through the first jack and out through the last. Alternatively, you can route the signal through the Harmonic side first, pass it through a reverb or another effect, and then into the Optical side, preserving the classic placement of optical tremolo after reverb, just like in many amplifiers.

These routing options opens up endless possibilities for integrating the TWIN TREM with other effects in your signal chain. If you have a stereo setup, the right side can run through the Harmonic tremolo, while the left side passes through the Optical.

In addition, offering comprehensive control over pre- and post-effects tremolo placement all helps to make the TWIN TREM an essential tool for building a complete rig.

Old Blood Noise Endeavors Black Fountain Stereo Characterful Oil Can Delay Effects Pedal (cream finish)
Cat: 1080105 Rel: 27 Mar 25

Stereo characterful oil can delay effects pedal in cream finish
Notes: Black Fountain Stereo Characterful Delay Building on the inimitable Black Fountain, a pedal that put OBNE on the map and for many a favourite always-on device, Black Fountain Stereo is much more than just turning things from mono into stereo. It truly expands Old Blood Noise Endeavors' highly regarded 'oil-can delay' pedal right into a multi-tool.

With a wider control set that's complete with added sonic options, a lower noise floor, dual delay lines that play together in a multitude of ways, presets, MIDI and expression control over everything, Black Fountain Stereo combines a sonic powerhouse of creative delay tones and into a pedalboard friendly package.

Black Fountain Stereo emulates the sound of a spinning oil-can delay. This is a warm, modulated and a little gritty type of tone that's perfect for chorusing, doubling, slap back and long rhythmic delays alike. You choose the amount and rate of modulation, the tone and grit of the core voice, the two delay times and their feedback. Plus, to top it off the mono/stereo voicing of it all can be set exactly as you like and everything can be saved into presets, for easy recall.

The Rate and Depth controls sets the amount of modulation and speed, Tone shapes the warmth of the repeats, while Grit sets the amount of drive in the repeats. To help maintain the clarity of your tone or for more special effects, you can set the mix of volume of either the Dry and/or Wet levels. Space defines the mono delay mode or stereo width and adds diffusion past the noon position.

Separate controls are available for setting the Left and Right Delay Time as well as being able to choose between six subdivisions for each side when holding the Tap footswitch. That little Tap switch (surprise) helps you set the delay repeats in time with your tempo, while holding it down will give for infinite feedback. Optionally, it can also be used as a preset switcher.

Crazy Tube Circuits White Whale v2 Analogue Spring Reverb Effects Pedal With Tremolo
Cat: 1012695 Rel: 14 May 24

Analogue spring reverb effects pedal with tremolo
Notes: Updated version of the White Whale pedal follows the same formula of 60s-inspired tremolo and spring reverb, with an improved power amp for higher fidelity. The essence of iconic amp effects in a single pedal.

Supplier's Notes:
Inspired by the match-made-in-heaven of vintage effects found on 60s American amps, White Whale V2 sets out a new objective to pack bigger real spring reverb and tremolo sounds in the same pedalboard friendly enclosure (17 x 12,5 x 7,5 cm).

The 3-spring reverb tank assembly housed inside White Whale's enclosure has remained the same, but Crazy Tube Circuits have upgraded the power amp driving the springs for increased headroom and wider frequency response. Following the signal topography of vintage units, Crazy Tube Circuits have also upgraded the dwell control to allow you to dial the right amount of signal that goes into the springs for a mellower or splashier reverb sound. Real spring reverb found in 60s American tube amps and external reverb units featured a tube power amp driving the spring assembly via an output transformer, so analogue circuit has been delicately tuned to emulate the tube and output transformer saturation that was produced on higher dwell settings.

Each of these vintage units had its own reverb effect qualities so Crazy Tube Circuits tried to categorize them according to the most emblematic ones with a toggle switch selecting the size and decay. The user can select between the milder reverb qualities of a short to medium 2-spring reverb tank, the liveliness of a medium to long 2-spring reverb tank as found in most blackface amp designs and the dense reverb qualities of a long 3-spring reverb tank assembly. A reverb's tone control comes after the recovery stage at the output of the reverb tank and affects only the wet sounds for lively and drippy or smooth and mild reverb tones. Use the mix control to blend your desired amount of wet signal on top of the dry guitar signal. Higher reverb mix settings tend to get lost in the mix, so we've made sure you'll be heard loud and clear by incorporating a volume control capable of up to 20db boost.

The tremolo section has also been upgraded to feature harmonic tremolo, besides the opto and tube bias found in the previous incarnation of Crazy Tube Circuits' "marine mammal". This hypnotic and mesmerizing effect originated on certain models of the brown and blonde era amps and does frequency-based modulation by shifting between high and low frequencies compared to the amplitude-based modulation (opto and tube bias) that shifts between volume levels. Crazy Tube Circuits have made sure to include the two most significant variations of harmonic tremolo, as found in the original amps, that differentiate in the range and sweep of pulsating frequencies. The depth control sets the intensity of modulation while the range of the speed control has been extended beyond the span of vintage amps' to make sure we'll maximize your creativity. The volume control will boost the signal, if needed, even in the hardest throb settings.

Another upgrade found in the White Whale V2 is that the two effect sections are now completely independent and you can select the effects order so that the tremolo effect comes before the reverb or vice versa. This gives you the option to make heavenly combinations as optical and tube bias style tremolo usually sound better when placed after (post) the reverb effect while the harmonic tremolo usually sounds better when placed in front (pre) of the reverb effect. The two onboard footswitches are used to engage or bypass each effect section and feature a power-up bypass/engage pre-set function. That way you can select which state your pedal will go to when you plug the power supply. White Whale V2 also features a remote switcher input jack where you can control the bypass state of each effect section remotely via your favourite external effects switcher or via the matching artwork remote control dual footswitch (sold separately). Reverb's mix can also be controlled via an expression pedal and tremolo's speed can be controlled by either an expression pedal or external tap tempo footswitch (expression pedals / tap tempo footswitch are not included).

The surf-friendly light green colour adds to the overall drippy experience of a real spring reverb and tremolo that will fit on your pedalboard. If your amp setup doesn't have these effects by design, you have now found your perfect match.

Strymon Zelzah Multi Dimensional Phaser Effects Pedal
Cat: 1060634 Rel: 22 Jan 25

Vintage 4-stage and 6-stage phasing with controls that allow seamless transitions to vibrato, gorgeous flanging and chorus, and new sounds never heard before
Notes: Way Back Machine

Step on Zelzah, play one chord, and you're instantly taken back to a world of classic phaser tones as they were always meant to sound, perfectly voiced, with tons of vibe. Vintage 4-stage and 6-stage phasing with controls that allow seamless transitions to vibrato, gorgeous flanging and chorus, and new sounds never heard before-all instantly musical with great tone all the way across every dial.

Two Effects At Once.

Zelzah is actually two different phasers, side by side in one pedal. Zelzah's 4-stage side gives you a wide array of classic tones ranging from phasing to vibrato and more, while the 6-stage side provides phasing, flanging, chorus, and all points in between. Dial in a chorus on one side and barber pole phaser on other, or a phaser on one side and tremolo on the other. Use the two sides independently or together in a variety of configurations. Zelzah may become the only modulation pedal you keep on your board.

Choose Your 4-Stage Phaser Sweep

Classic Sweep

The first Sweep mode is labelled "Classic" because this is the classic four stage phaser sweep we all know. In this Sweep mode, a single LFO with a warped triangle shape creates that familiar vintage sound.

Barber Sweep

Similar to the visual effect of a barber pole, the Barber sweep is a continuously rising or falling effect that is traditionally done with frequency shifters. In Zelzah, Strymon have used an arrangement of synchronized four stage phasers to produce the effect while maintaining the four stage sound.

Envelope Phaser

Set the Sweep switch to Env and you've got a whole new pedal under your feet. Now the phaser responds to your picking like an envelope filter/auto-wah would, with the phaser sweep being dynamically controlled by your input signal, creating harmonically complex and very funky sounds.

Six Stage Voice: Groundbreaking New Phaser Algorithm

The Voice knob on the six stage side simultaneously controls over 30 different parameters, all working in harmony for an inspiring musical experience.

Not only do you get thick, juicy, phasing with pure vintage vibe, but as you turn the Voice knob clockwise, the groundbreaking new modified all-pass structure expands the time response of the cascading all-pass filters seamlessly and continuously, adding spaciousness and airiness to the sound.

Explore a range of fresh musical tones that are not a mix of phasing and flanging, but actually something entirely new. Turn the Voice knob to the right for luxurious true flanger effects, and continue to the far end of the range for lush vintage chorus sounds. There are inspiring musical sounds at every point along the dial, and so many ways to make a sound that is truly yours.

Boss RE-202 Space Echo Effects Pedal
Cat: 997454 Rel: 01 Mar 24

Space echo effects pedal
Notes: Based on the legendary Roland Space Echo, the RE-202 brings tape-style delay effects into the future. Classic vintage sound in a modern, user-friendly package.

Supplier's Notes:
A Masterpiece Returns in the Modern Era

Introduced in 1974, the Roland RE-201 Space Echo stands among the most legendary and sought-after effect units ever produced. This tape-based classic remained in production for over 14 straight years, and its distinctive rhythmic echo sounds, warm character, and highly playable sonic quirks still inspire musicians, producers, and audio mixers over four decades on.

Backed by intensive R&D and Boss' latest innovations, the RE-202 faithfully delivers the authentic sound and behaviour of the Space Echo like never before. Built by the company that designed the original, this advanced pedal captures the RE-201's magic in flawless detail, from the magnetic tape and motor properties to the vibrant spring reverb and colourful preamp circuit. And to take things even further, Boss have expanded the vintage Space Echo experience with lots of new features tuned for today's music.

Tape Echo Magic

Tape echo was the first delay effect and one of the first effect processors available for electronic musicians. In contrast with today's CPU-based digital units, a tape echo is a simple machine that uses a motor to pull magnetic tape across one or more record/playback heads. Warm, full, and dynamic, the tape echo sound is influenced by many factors. The ever-changing input level colours the sound with varying amounts of tape saturation and compression. In addition, motor speed fluctuations, friction, wow and flutter, and other elements introduce an appealing modulated character that's subtle and continually evolving.

RE-201 Space Echo: Simply Legendary

The RE-201 was a benchmark Roland product and one of the leading tape echo units of its era. It featured three evenly spaced heads that produced a wider range of echo effects than typical single-head designs, plus an innovative free-running tape system that provided superior performance with minimal tape wear. Grab-and-go controls enabled quick access to clean, single delays or various head combinations for dense, rhythmic echoes. A spring reverb tank was included too, making the RE-201 a one-stop shop for quality ambience effects. Last but not least, analogue preamp circuitry was another key ingredient in the Space Echo's rich sonic recipe.

A Masterpiece Reborn

Realized through the latest technologies and exhaustive analysis of several vintage RE-201s-including a pristine original unit from the BOSS and Roland factory archive-the RE-202 brings the complete Space Echo experience to life in a versatile modern pedal.

While previous BOSS designs captured the true sonic flavour and essential characteristics of the Space Echo, new advancements have allowed us to go much deeper than ever before. With the RE-202, Boss' engineers have fully reproduced all the complex, non-linear behaviours that contribute to the RE-201's immortal character. Everything that influences the sound was carefully examined and recreated with all-new algorithms, including the tape path, record/playback mechanism, motor variations, preamp coloration, tape age, spring reverb character, and more.

Retro Sound at Your Fingertips

The RE-202 delivers the full vintage vibe of the RE-201-without the need for regular tape replacement and hardware maintenance. All the core controls of the original are here, including the iconic 12-position mode selector. Every behaviour is replicated with complete accuracy, such as the gradual pitch change that occurs when the Repeat Rate knob is tweaked, or the cool runaway feedback that happens when the Intensity knob is maxed.

With selectable tape age and variable controls, you can dial in everything from a brand-new Space Echo to the worn character and quirks of a well-loved vintage piece. The Saturation control has been carefully calibrated based on the actual magnetic tape and preamp behaviours of the RE-201, with the sound becoming warmer and more compressed as you turn up the knob.

Walrus Audio Fable Granular Soundscape Generator Effects Pedal (all black)
Cat: 1005021 Rel: 14 Mar 24

Granular soundscape generator effects pedal, all black
Notes: In the high woodlands of the north, undiscovered by most inhabitants, there ruled a clan of old, mystic Treefolk. On the first new moon of spring, these Treefolk could be heard grafting limbs to grow their young - splicing bits of branches from each generation to produce the next line of Treefolk. These new beings keep the lifeblood of all who came before in their new skin. These sounds are in part very old, but in part very new. They are referred to as... Fable.

Let your storybook adventure grows with the Fable Granular Soundscape Generator. The Fable gives you five all-new programs centered around sample and chop delay algorithms to create bizarrely beautiful networks of sampled and resampled sounds. The Fable uses a powerful dual DSP architecture to combine delay programs in series with granular sampling algorithms, each with its own analogue feedback path. Find unique soundscapes ranging from smooth, flowing ambience; to bizarre, organic reverberance; to chaotic, glitchy swarms.

So, what exactly is this granular effect and why is it a magical experience when combined with delay? Granular is a digital processing technique of micro-sampling, wherein short samples called grains are read from a delay buffer. In the Fable, players can adjust these grains by manipulating their sampling length, position, and buffer size from which they're read. They can be played at double or half speed for pitch shift and time stretching effects, play them in reverse, read from multiple positions, and more, in order to achieve different effects.

It's a powerful but complex technique and Walrus Audio created five streamlined programs in the Fable that explore different aspects of its sonic range.

Programs

I. Reverse Delay into Reverse Granular

Program 1 runs a reverse delay into a reverse granular algorithm, in which sampled grains are played backwards. Reversal and re-reversal build up in the feedback paths, creating a complex and organically shifting soundscape. Turn grain size down for long, smooth reversed transients, and grain size up for stuttering reverse glitch madness.

II. Forward Delay into Octave Up Granular

Program 2 runs a forward delay into an octave-up granular program, in which sampled grains are played at double speed. Swarms of double-speed grains build up in the feedback path for bright and airy cascades of sound.

III. Analog Delay into Octave Down Granular

Program 3 runs a warm, dark analogue-style delay into an octave-down granular program, in which sampled grains are played back at half speed. Slowed down repeats combine with analogue-style processing to create deep, thunderous footfalls and thick, murky ambience.

IV. Multi-Tap Granular into Multi-Tap Granular (Grain-Verb)

Program 4 runs two multi-tap granular algorithms in series, in which multiple samples are played back from each granular buffer simultaneously. Multiple points of sampled sound build upon each other in the feedback paths to create glitchy clouds and unique organic reverberance. Time in this program controls time-stretching of both granular algorithms, changing both the length and tonal character of the granular effect.

V. Forward Delay into Randomized Pitch Granular

Program 5 runs a forward delay into a randomized pitch granular program, in which each grain is played back at a randomly selected speed and direction, varying between pitched up double speed, pitched down half speed, normal speed, plus forward and reversed playback from grain to grain. Pitch changes with each new grain, so play with the X knob in this program to control the rate of randomized pitch modulation.

SoMa Laboratory Harvezi Hazze Distortion Effect Pedal
Cat: 1064230 Rel: 31 Jan 25

A versatile and unique distortion pedal with a wide tonal palette.
Notes: Harvezi Hazze is a versatile and unique distortion pedal with a wide tonal palette.

The heart of Harvezi Hazze is a waveshaper designed around a unijunction transistor, a relic from the early days of the semiconductor industry unearthed from the e-waste bins of flea markets in Tbilisi, Georgia.

The unique properties of the unijunction transistor allow one simple component to replace a number of very complex devices: depending on the operating mode, we can get a distortion, a limiter, a waveshaper and a generator - with a smooth transition between them. Experiments have shown that this transistor is an excellent basis for a distortion stompbox.

The name translates from Georgian as "a fault on the transmission line" or "signal jamming", and both the semantic and phonetic natures of it unequivocally imply what to expect - an impediment to the input signal, ranging from pleasant harmonic distortions to complete obliteration. The signal chain of the unit consists of an optical compressor with fixed parameters; a dual-mode distorting amplifier with either softer or harsher clipping; a waveshaper built around a unijunction transistor; and a tone stack section trying to tame all this mess.

Signal Chain:

Input -> Compressor -> Distorting amplifier -> Waveshaper -> Tone stack -> Output

Controls:

Gain - controls the output amplitude of the signal in the distorting amplifier section. Depending on the position of the switch, the distortion introduced by this section is soft (switch in the left position) or more aggressive with an abundance of high harmonics (middle position).

Spoil and Spread - control the operation of the unijunction transistor (waveshaper section). Spoil sets the point on the amplitude axis at which the wave will fold, and Spread sets the amplitude of the folding. The sonic meaning of these knobs can be described as follows: the higher the Spread value, the more severe the distortion will be, and Spoil changes timbre and response threshold. By adjusting Spoil you can achieve various gating and cutoff effects. At low Spread values, distortion sounds are mixed into the clean sound.

Tone - adjusts the brightness of the sound; the higher the value, the more high harmonics are present in the signal.

The switch regulates either the distortion mode in the amplifier section (left and center positions), or it turns on the total feedback mode (right position), when the values of all knobs begin to influence each other and effects occur such as resonance at certain frequencies and self-oscillation.

Level - controls the output volume of the signal.

The footswitch routes the signal through the effect circuitry or from input to output directly (true bypass).

The array of switches on the side of the unit gives a few more tonal options:

TONE STACK - routes the signal through the tone stack section (Tone knob).

BASS BOOST - enhances bass frequencies.

TONE MODE - changes the behaviour of the Tone knob (tilt or lowpass).

NOTCH FREQ - changes the central frequency of the filter.

HIGH CUT - attenuates high frequencies.

COMPRESSOR - routes the signal through the compressor.

The lower position of the switch enables the function.

Examples:

Compression:

Switch in the central position, Spoil, Spread, Gain - min, Tone - 12 o'clock.

TONE STACK - on. BASS BOOST - on, TONE MODE - off, NOTCH FREQ - off, HIGH CUT - off, COMPRESSOR - on.

Soft clipping:

Switch in the left position, Spoil, Spread - min, Tone - 12 o'clock, Gain - 2 o'clock.

TONE STACK - on. BASS BOOST - on, TONE MODE - off, NOTCH FREQ - on, HIGH CUT - off, COMPRESSOR - on.

Distortion:

Switch in the middle, Spoil, Spread - min, Tone - 1 o'clock, Gain - max.

TONE STACK - on. BASS BOOST - on, TONE MODE - off, NOTCH FREQ - off, HIGH CUT - off, COMPRESSOR - off.

Fuzz:

Switch in the left position, Spoil - 1 o'clock, Spread - max, Tone - 11 o'clock, Gain - 10 o'clock.

TONE STACK - on. BASS BOOST - on, TONE MODE - on, NOTCH FREQ - off, HIGH CUT - off, COMPRESSOR - on.

Black:

Switch in the left position, Spoil - 12 o'clock, Spread - 1 o'clock, Tone - 3 o'clock, Gain - 3 o'clock.

TONE STACK - on. BASS BOOST - off, TONE MODE - off, NOTCH FREQ - off, HIGH CUT - off, COMPRESSOR - off.

Feedback:

Walrus Audio Canvas MIDI Clock Pedal
Cat: 1075384 Rel: 19 Mar 25

Sync all your time-based devices, seamlessly move through preset setlists, and simplify tempo matching with the Canvas Clock
Notes: Sync all your time-based devices, seamlessly move through preset setlists, and simplify tempo matching with the Canvas Clock! Designed for any kind of rig you throw at it and deeply customizable, users can put their full trust in the Clock to be an all-in-one tempo solution for their board.

The Canvas Clock can interface to any device in your rig that accepts clock signal, whether MIDI, (via the 1/8 in or 5-pin MIDI ports) or analogue (via the 1/4 in jacks). Clock will send time signals for both MIDI and analogue devices, and will continue to do so as you move through your song list or manually adjust the tempo. As you edit, save, and recall songs in real-time or via the online editor at walrusaudio.io, Clock will send your specific settings for whichever song you are currently on out to all of the time-based devices you are connected to.

Customize your Clock

The four 1/4" in jacks aren't just for sending tempo. They can each be assigned one of four functions:

Tempo Out - Connect to any pedal or device that accepts external tap inputs or analogue time controls (ex: Walrus' Arp-87 Delay or Monument Tremolo). Canvas Clock can send analogue clock and MIDI clock at the same time. No more relying on your feet to keep perfect time.

CV (Control Voltage) Out - Control any device that accepts CV. Good for Analog Synths, Drum Machines, or similar devices.

Switch Input - Each jack can be configured to receive input from two external footswitch controls. The switches are connected to the Tip (left) and Ring (right) of the associated 1/4 in jack. These can be assigned to many functions available on the pedal with the ability to add more options via a software update.
Expression In - Connect an expression pedal, and use it to send a MIDI CC message out to a pedal connected to the Clock. The "Toe Down" and "Heel Down" values can be adjusted to fine-tune the controlled parameter range. Use this to adjust the mix of a reverb or the depth of a tremolo (via MIDI out).

Footswitches

Footswitches for the Clock are customizable. Eliminate the "bending over between songs to make adjustments portion of a set" by assigning one of the onboard functions to the A and/or B switches:

-Advance to the next song
-Go back to the previous song
-Advance to the next setlist
-Go back to the previous setlist
-Toggle the metronome start and stop
-Global tap tempo

The "Sync" jack found on top of the pedal can be set in two ways:
-Input - Great for accepting BPM from an external source.
-Output - Great for syncing external devices, such as a Eurorack device, a Roland Volca Synth, and many other devices.
Some external devices send/receive clock signals that are "double" the standard timing signals, so Walrus included the option to send/receive a 1x or 2x signal, depending on the specific device's needs. Users can also determine the subdivision of the BPM to send out.

Metronome

If active, the Clock metronome can be heard via the MET OUT port at the top of the pedal. This signal can be sent to a front of house console for live gigs or a monitor for practicing. Metronome type, volume, and accent note controls can all be edited in the Metronome Menu.

Songs

There are 128 "Song" slots available to users in the Canvas Clock. You can think of each song as an editable preset where you can adjust the song name, meter, BPM, MIDI Macros, and metronome start or stop. Once your song is edited to your liking, every time it is recalled it will operate just the way you set it!

Setlists

Keeping your songs organized is crucial for live sets, which is why with the Clock, songs can be grouped together and navigated through easily using the Setlist feature. Once you access setlist settings, you can select songs from your master song list to curate and reorder in the way you'd want them for a gig or practice. Once your setlist is saved and active, going through the setlist in real-time will recall these songs and all their settings in the order you curated them for that setlist.

MIDI Macros

For the MIDI-minded players who may want further control over their rig, there are standard MIDI commands that can be triggered when you recall songs with the Clock. MIDI Macros allow users to create one or a series of MIDI CC or PC messages that get sent out of the Canvas Clock when a specific song is recalled. Users have 128 adjustable Macros with 15 messages per MIDI Macro, which can be useful in further dictating how you want your MIDI devices to behave during certain songs, (ex: bypassing some pedals but engaging others).

Walrusaudio.io

While you can edit and customize your Canvas Clock settings using the menu on the pedal, users can also connect the pedal to a computer via the USB-C port and customize their Clock with the Canvas Clock Editor web-app. Quickly and easily set up songs, edit your Setlists, edit MIDI Macros, and more. Firmware updates will also be available via this site as well.

Strymon Riverside Multistage Drive Effects Pedal
Cat: 1059633 Rel: 22 Jan 25

An overdrive pedal that creates harmonically rich tones that are immensely musical and natural-from silky clean overdrive to colossal distortion, and all points between
Notes: Discover your amp's potential

Riverside's cascading gain stages create harmonically rich tones that are immensely musical and natural-from silky clean overdrive to colossal distortion, and all points between. The analogue JFET front-end ensures that Riverside responds to your guitar with uncompromised dynamics and feel. The precision crafted DSP generates dynamic complexity and pleasing harmonics at every stage, letting your amp shine at any gain level. Riverside takes your amp to places you never knew it could go.

Overview

Infinite sweet spot

Riverside's continuously variable circuit tuning dynamically tweaks multiple parameters under the hood so that the sweet spot follows you at any gain setting. As you turn the Drive knob, Riverside makes continuous adjustments, tuning the circuit for optimum tone. This results in an incredibly versatile drive pedal that is equally capable of providing sparking cleans, mild overdrives, high-gain leads, and heavy saturated distortions.

Flexibility to adapt to any amp

Your amp choice has a large influence on the sound of any drive pedal connected to it. Riverside's musical 3-band EQ, with independent Bass, Middle and Treble knobs, is designed to complement your amp's tone with the flexibility needed to dial in your sound effectively and efficiently. The three-position Presence switch tailors the highest frequencies, allowing Riverside to integrate perfectly with any amp or setup, no matter how dark or bright.

Digital or analogue? Strymon choose both

The first stage of Riverside's custom multistage drive topology is an all-analogue, ultra low noise, discrete, class-A JFET circuit. This gain stage is digitally controlled to maximize headroom while adding as much as 20dB of pure analogue gain, with tight integration to the subsequent DSP gain stages. With Strymon's hybrid approach you get the best of both analogue and digital worlds: The JFET stage provides exceptional touch sensitivity and dynamic interaction with your guitar, while the incredibly powerful SHARC DSP facilitates the great level of detailed complexity and responsiveness you'll want to hear.

Tone Adjustment and Shaping

Drive adjusts the amount of gain applied to the signal. Employs continuously variable circuit tuning which adjusts many parameters as you turn the knob.

Level controls the output volume level when the effect is engaged.

Gain toggles between low or high gain channels.

Low sets a gain structure allowing for a wide range of low to medium gain sounds. At high Drive settings the sound is heavily overdriven, and slightly 'loose' like a dimed vintage amp.

High increases the gain throughout the signal path and tightens things up. Stays relatively clean at low Drive settings, shifting to heavy saturated distortion at maximum.

Push toggles between flat or enhanced midrange frequencies.

Norm can be used for cleaner, more transparent tones.

Mid adds a mid-band EQ push just after the analogue front-end gain. This pushes the subsequent drive stages harder, tightening up the response. Perfect for fat drive tones, or pushing a distorted or on- the-edge amp into further breakup.

Bass is an active shelving/parametric low frequency control. The control is post-drive, shaping your drive tones before they reach your amp.
Middle is a parametric mid boost/cut control with optimized frequency centre. The control is post-drive, shaping your drive tones before they reach your amp.

Treble is a wide-ranging high frequency active shelf control. The control is post-drive, shaping your drive tones before they reach your amp.

Rear Panel

Presence is a three position switch that tailors the highest frequencies of the output signal.

Minus (-) provides clarity with a controlled top end that works well with many amps that have a brighter voice.

Enhanced (centre) extends the top end to allow for more sizzle on high gain tones. Useful if you want enhanced detail in the uppermost frequencies.

Plus (+) delivers extended high end detail to the darkest amps, and is also useful when plugging directly into a power amp.

In is a high impedance mono input. Plug your instrument in here.

Out is a mono signal output. Connect to your amp, other pedals, mixing board, etc.

Boost allows use of an external switch to toggle up to +6dB of post boost on/off. Or connect to the EXP input of another Strymon pedal and simultaneously engage the Favorite settings on both pedals with Riverside's Favorite switch.

Expression Pedal Input provides continuous expression pedal control over any or all of the knobs, in any direction, with your foot. Or can be used in Volume Mode to control the volume level of the effect.
Power - Plug your power supply in here. Maximum 9 volts DC centre-negative, with a minimum of 250mA of current. Standard 5.5mm x 2.1mm barrel connection.

Secondary Functions

Press and hold ON footswitch to enter Secondary Function mode. Release the footswitch, then turn the desired knob to adjust the parameter.

Optional variable-threshold Noise Reduction tames hum, buzz, and system noise when you're not playing. A downward expander with advanced signal detection techniques creates a seamless transition to noise reduced silence with all types of input signal dynamics.

Boost Level sets up to +6dB of available boost when using an external Boost footswitch.

Diamond Vibrato Analogue Bucket-Brigade Vibrato Effects Pedal
Cat: 1015220 Rel: 29 May 24

Analogue bucket-brigade vibrato effects pedal
Notes: The original Diamond VIBRATO was conceived in late 2006 with a simple yet ambitious idea: crafting an analogue, true-pitch Vibrato pedal, built around the revered MN3007 bucket brigade chip and promptly became one of the world's most coveted and sought-after Vibrato pedals.

Now, nearly two decades later, the new Diamond VIBRATO is not only back - it's better than ever. This latest and greatest version of the VIBRATO incorporates decades-worth of end-user feedback, better tech, maximum efficiency, modern features, a meticulous redesign for enhanced player experience and the signature Diamond quality that made the original pedal so great.

This reinvented and coveted classic is now available in an updated, compact package, plus the first run of 800 pedals is equipped with NOS Panasonic MN3007 BBDs.

Half the size, all the sound

Don't let the size cause you to underestimate the power packed within. We've managed to stuff all the VIBRATO's analogue audio path, Compandor and BBD Delay circuits in pedalboard-friendly sized enclosure. By using dual stacked PCB's, we've not only optimised space but also enhanced the isolation of the audio path from the power and switching circuits. Add top jacks, soft-touch True Bypass switching, and standardized negative-centre 9-18 V DC input with polarity and over-voltage protection for a bulletproof pedal ready for any gig.

Analogue BBD delay line

At the heart of this pedal lies the revered MN3007 Bucket Brigade Delay chip, renowned for its ability to create the rich, organic, and warbling Vibrato & Chorus tones which make the sounds of the 70s and 80s guitar icons. The MN3007 infuses its signature character to your guitar signal-delivering a natural, liquid-like pitch modulation with a rounded vintage texture and mojo that is missing from modern digital counterparts.

Compander magic

The Compandor Circuit adds warmth and complexity by controlling your dynamics. Acting as both a compressor and expander, it not only gives the VIBRATO its signature feel and response but also reduces much of the noise inherently found in BBD technology. Borrowed from the Memory Lane Jr., the updated compandor design in the VIBRATO provides increased clarity, less distortion and is pre-trimmed therefore will never have to be recalibrated.

Input voltage

While the original VIBRATO could only be powered by an 18 V DC reverse polarity power supply (internally regulated to 15 V DC) - the new VIBRATO offers a much more versatile 9-18 V DC operating range. The voltage is internally regulated based on the power input and as a result, the pedal will sound slightly different depending on operating voltage as the clock frequency will shift.

For classic, pristine and lush Diamond VIBRATO tones with added headroom, power the pedal at 18VDC like the original. Powering it at 9 V DC will add a bit more colour and warble - much like the "High Mode" in the original big-box VIBRATO. You can take advantage of the added range or just dial back the depth. Better yet, grab a Cioks power supply and try it at 12VDC or 15VDC regardless of what you settle on, the Diamond VIBRATO will sound great! As always, it is recommend that you use a good quality, isolated power supply.
