Often overlooked but essential to the performance of your turntables, the slipmat is the contact point between your record and the platter of the deck. Providing just the right level of grip is crucial, so you can choose from rubber and cork options for hi-fi playback, slicker options designed for scratch DJs and turntablists, or just go for the purist classic design of the felt mats produced by Technics, featuring the Japanese brand’s iconic logo. Most slipmats are 12-inch designs which cover the entire turntable platter, but you’ll even find a few 7-inch options designed specifically for 45s.
