When it comes to music from Brazil, most of what we get released over here is classic material - forgotten gems, long-lost recordings or essential MPB albums from the venerated old masters of the form. But here courtesy of Mr Bongo we have new music courtesy of acclaimed contemporary singer-songwriter Dora Morelenbaum who has a stunning voice that puts her right at the heart of the country's vital new musical wave. For reference, just dial into her Vento De Beirada EP from 2021 which now lands on vinyl. It's full of her sensuous tones and gentle rhythms that shimmer in the sun in all new downbeat and dreamy ways.
