Far Out presents perhaps the most crucial instalment yet of their Disco Monster Orchestra series - with Mark E and newcomer MODE tackling "He's Alright". It's a second appearance in the series for the Merc boss, and this version retains the high standards of his previous mesmerising take on "Dead Dance". Those who have had the chance to indulge in Stone Breaker, his recently released album, will know what to expect from Mark E's treatment here - all pressurised subaqueous acid rhythms that bubble beneath a near constant wash of emotive synths and chords, with intermittent bursts of Mia Mendes' vocal hook adding some sweetness. On the flip, Londoner MODE offers a lighter take, crafting a slow motion disco funk lead that retains more of Mendes' voice to great effect.
