L.I.E.S. affiliates Steve Summers and Bookworms return for another round of collaborative tracks on their recently minted Confused House label following their sublime debut in January, that proved there's more to Summers than raucous jack tracks. "Halfzware" sees them engaging in more of their lush, textured take on analogue house music, with a lightly brushed rhythm and deep bassline that bristles with shimmering monophonic melodies; it's an approach shared on B-side track "Machine In Your Station", but one that pushes its hypnotic array of glistening keys further and faster into a kaleidoscopic wormhole, melding kosmische landscapes with contemporary New York house music's vivid pulse.
