Review: American singer Eva Cassidy released Nighbird posthumously in November 2015. It came 19 years after her death and was recorded at the Washington club Plus Alley in 1996. Some of the tunes had already been released as part of a live album the same year but for this album the recordings have been remixed and remastered from the original tape. It has some big jazz standards such as 'It Don't Mean a Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing)' and 'Fever' as well as eight tunes that were previously unheard at the time. An exceptional record from one of the best female jazz singers of all-time.

Review: Dave Clarke's Red Series remains a vital benchmark in the evolution of UK techno. Released between 1993 and 1996, the three-volume run even managed to brush the UK top 40 back in the good old days when anything felt possible. Tracks like 'Wisdom To The Wise' will forever be etched in the make up of techno, and for very good reason. Now the whole series is being given a lavish reissue treatment which takes in all the original releases along with additional discs of rare, archival tracks and remixes, all bundled up in a box with a booklet and autographed by the Baron himself.

Review: To commemorate the 30th anniversary of Phil Collins' fifth solo studio album, Both Sides, a special edition 5XLP box set is set for release. This deluxe reissue, features the remastered original album, cut at half-speed by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios. Both Sides (All The Sides) includes early demo tracks, rarities from singles like 'Both Sides of the Story,' 'Everyday,' and 'We Wait and We Wonder,' as well as live performances such as 'Can't Turn Back the Years' and 'Both Sides of the Story' from Collins' MTV Unplugged session. This collection is presented on vinyl for the first time, housed in a slipcase with picture sleeves and a 16-page booklet containing newly written liner notes by esteemed journalist Michael Hann. Collins, who wrote, performed, and produced Both Sides in just six weeks at his home studio, considers it his most personal album. Originally released in 1993, the album topped the charts in the UK and Europe, reached No. 13 in the US, and achieved multi-platinum status worldwide.

Review: As part of Atlantic Records' 75th Anniversary celebration, the label has launched an extensive year-long vinyl series featuring 90 releases spanning the entire history of the company, from its earliest days until the present. Of these emerges this latest reissue of Crosby, Stills & Nash's self-titled debut album, first released on the label all the way back in 1969. The album features some of CSN's most well known and iconic songs; 'Suite: Judy Blue Eyes,' 'Marrakesh Express,' 'Guinnevere,' 'Wooden Ships,' 'Helplessly Hoping' and 'Long Time Gone.' This album saw a shift in sound to what was popular at the time - blues based rock - opting for a more folk rock, and sometimes jazz-based sound. It would lay the foundations for the California Sound that would be popularised out of Laurel Canyon in the '70s. Artists such as The Eagles, Jackson Browne and Fleetwood Mac would take inspiration from the sound of this record.
