Time Track (reprise) (5:00)
Hymn Of The Hear (8:46)
Review: 'Suite For Chick' is a heartfelt tribute to the late jazz legend Chick Corea. This 12" was assembled to reimagine classics like 'City Gate, Rumble,' 'Time Track,' 'Hymn of the Heart' and Return to Forever's 'Romantic Warrior.' It finds Bangkok-based Maarten Goetheer collaborating with Thailand's jazz virtuoso Pong Nakornchai and blending Wurlitzer chords, Moog basslines, ARP leads and Rhodes phasings. Inspired by his jazz-pianist father, Maarten fuses classic jazz with modern genres like techno, cosmic disco and ambient for a fresh take on jazz fusion. These electrifying interpretations honour Corea's pioneering legacy in jazz and fusion from his groundbreaking work with Miles Davis to founding Return to Forever.

EEE - "TTTPRVST" (MB edit Funk rework) (5:16)
LBT - "PRNDLCS" (Wandevogel edit) (7:20)
PDN - "CTNFTT" (Lego Reedit) (5:17)
Review: The third volume in Colpo Grosso's edits series amounts to yet another slinky slice of sensual post-Italo disco sundries. With each original artist and track title on the record respectively lent a three-letter and N-letter abbreviation, we'll leave it to you to piece together the puzzle as regards to whose source material is being reworked here. On this occasion, the hired hands are Massimo Voci, M.B. Funk, Wandevogel and Legowelt, each of whose takes on the various steam-downs and sweat lodgings of the genius genre that is Italo amount to four farther, slammingly sexual condensations of the sound. Our fave has to be Vandevogel's version of 'PRNDLCS', which starts out dramatically downcast before launching into a well-placed implantation of baritone sax and *bonne brisse* vocals.

Italian Library Songbook Vol 2
Moonbrew & Paolo Apollo Negri - "As If It Matters" (feat Tilde) (3:59)
Piero Umiliani - "Nel Villaggio" (2:32)
Review: The Italian Library Songbook series is back with its second volume, offering a fresh take on hidden gems from Italy's soundtrack legends. This 7" sees beat-maker Moonbrew and composer Paolo Apollo Negri reimagine Piero Umiliani's 'Nel Villaggio,' originally featured on his 1975 library album Continente Nero. Side A, titled 'As If It Matters,' introduces a new dreamlike track where Tilde's delicate vocals float over a hypnotic marimba sample, blending with synths and a modern beat. Side B revisits the original instrumental, staying true to Umiliani's signature sound. With artwork by Luca Barcellona, this 7" is a beautiful tribute to the timelessness of Italian library music.

This Way (4:53)
Breathe & Stop (Abstract Blend) (4:00)
Review: REPRESS ALERT!: New York producer P-Sol has hit on a super effective formula for starting the party, stitching together a selection of familiar samples and hooks, adding some beautifully dusty breaks and adding a final sheen of shiny production skills. Both sides of this 7" have a touch of raw 'two turntables' action about them, while remaining impeccably constructed and tight, with the A-side 'This Way' proving to be the slightly speedier and slightly more funk/r&b-flavoured, while 'Breathe & Stop (Abstract Blend)' is the one for the pure hip-hop heads. Both, however, are dynamite in the box, needless to say.

Get Ta Steppin' (7" mix) (4:51)
1973 (7" mix) (4:58)
Review: REPRESS ALERT!: New York has long had a rich deep house history and now adding to that is new label PS7 which opens up with a pair of delightfully dusty cuts from P-Sol. This tidy 7" kicks off with 'Get Ta Steppin' (7" mix) which is a low-key and delightfully downtempo cut with organic claps and noodling jazz keys all coated in warming vibes, playful melodies and muttered vocals. On the flip, '1973' (7" mix) is another low-slung gem with layers of lo-fi sound and sunny keys rising up through the mix. Both of these are heartwarming soul sounds for good times only.

Flor De Jazmin (feat Paz Court - John Beltran remix) (4:40)
Review: Pahua is a Mexican singer, percussionist, DJ and producer who was once part of the Sotomayor band but went solo in 2020. Her sound is steeped in Latin influences and resulted in a debut album in 2023 and she recently landed on Razor-N-Tape with some tracks that now get remixed on this new 7". First up is 'Espantapajaros' (feat La Perla - Poirer remix) which is a mix of deep drums and synths with some florid flutes up top to bring the colour and charm. On the flip side is 'Flor De Jazmin' (feat Paz Court - John Beltran remix) which layers in some lovely sunny melodies to the shuffling samba rhythms and expressive vocals.

Standing Right Here (5:12)
Standing Right Here (Disco House mix) (4:50)
Review: This 2020 cover by the UK soul and jazz group Paprika Soul arrives on 45rpm for the first time ever. The group, formed in 1993 by Alan Barnes and Andrew Spiller, brings Melba Moore's classic to life with the addition of vocalist Jacqui Hicks. It's a tune that offers a warm, urban-side A and a beat-driven, refreshing disco house mix on Side B and it's perfect for smooth and Balearic vibes. Originally featured on the Soul Togetherness 2020 double album on Expansion Records LP, this gem was previously only available on CD and digital.

Review: Paprika Soul are a UK soul/jazz crossover unit formed in 1993. Their cover of the infamous Kool & the Gang song was released only on CD and later distributed in 2019; it now reappears for a full analog remaster and first time vinyl pressing. Made up of Alan Barnes and Andrew Spiller, Paprika Soul also enlist singer Jacqui Hicks here, laying down a superb vocal skirting-over-the-mix. Clock also: the moody, urban vocal jazz mix on the A-side and a 'Scirocco Mix' with lyrical guitar solos on the B-side.

Review: The Paradise Projex was created by ex-music director Phil Edwards and is a showcase of his years of experience as a musician, songwriter and producer. Combining soulful sounds with creative innovation, the project embraces an inclusive approach that leans on music's ability to unite minds across continents, cultures and even generations. This month sees the release of their new album I Am You, which includes the single 'Here & Now' and is a former number one on the UK Soul Breakers chart. Next to that comes this special 7" including two vinyl exclusives - 'Magic Night' and 'Someone Like You' are fine soul, nu-jazz and broken beat twisters.

Traffic Jams (11:11)
Review: Detroit innovator and singular soundsmith Theo Parrish returns with a new EP which we're told is his response to "stagnation and nonmovement" either physiologically, mentally or physically. 'Positive Mental Attitude Solves All' is up first and is a tribute to the late great funk-father Amp Fiddler. It's a typically deep cut with dusty drums and irregular, scruffy percussive lines layered in next to diffuse synth warmth and soulful melodies. 'Traffic Jams' plays with similar signature themes and is sure to loosen up mind, body and soul. Another standout bit of work from the venerable Motor City man.

Now leaning into disco and working as Patapenka, he is a Minsk-based artist who steps out with his second solo EP and the opener 'Bisous' features a host of talented musicians adding their skills. It's a lush and rich sound with great instrumental grooves and catchy hooks. All three of the other cuts mix up different elements of disco, funk and soul to make for irresistibly feelgood and emotive listening. Another vital slab of wax from the Funkyjaws Music crew.

From The Mouth Of Elmer McCurdy (3:40)
Review: DJ Slow, JA-Jazz, and Jame Spectrum may not be household names across the world, but those who follow Pepe Deluxe seem willing to follow them to the ends of multiple sonic spectrums, and then push through into the Other Side together. The trio, better known as Finnish electronic music obscuros Pepe Deluxe, have been making beats and other pieces since around 1996, first garnering a name for themselves with an infectious combination of hip hop, breakbeat, downtempo and big beat.By 2007, when they released their third album, Spare Time Machine, the remit had changed, slightly, and was less interested in sampling, more concerned with revitalising old school music genres like psyche, baroque pop and surf rock. Freedom Flag brings us up to date, circa 2024, and it seems there's enough room for both approaches, with this two-tracker rooted in everything from trip hop to brass-topped indie.

Review: TLM celebrates its 50th vinyl-only release with an exceptional offering of jazz-lounge house intonations. Legendary Canadian Mike Perras knocks down the first domino with 'Life Goes On', a jazzy house cut driven by a captive Rhodes groove. Craig Bratley follows with a deep houser featuring Tim Hutton on trumpet, while Mark Turner honours the legacy of Blaze on the A. The AA, meanwhile, introduces DFRA Experience Jazz Band from Argentina with 'Isolation', a smoothened pure jazz cut composed by Diego Ruiz and featuring Pablo Raposso on piano, Hernan Cassibba on double bass, Gonzalo Rodriguez De Vicente on sax, Joaquin Muro on trumpet, and Bruno Varela on drums. 'Sober' by Markus Enochson closes things out on a double bass boomer 'Sober', effecting a truly loose bonhomie.

This solo endeavour continues Peters' sonic exploration and expands upon the palette he began with his Purple and Yellow EP nearly a decade ago. MPC3000 and SP12 percussion intertwines with cosmic flute choirs and transcendent saxophone, guided by analogue synths that bridge eras past and future. Inspired by dreams of the Miraculous Mandarin, an immortal mystic from the future, Peters crafts musical resonance here, awash with alchemy and timelessness.

Review: Now we're talking. At the time of writing - mid-spring 2025 - Britain has been basking in the warmest March and April since the first Covid-19 lockdown, but dark skies and a cold lack of humanity are prevailing emotions. Far right, fascism, the death of creativity and the onslaught of automation are enough to leave anyone feeling like they've been locked out of the sunshine and have to fend for themselves against a torrent of chilling realities. But not all heroes wear capes. Some are just called Charles Petersohn, and they make sun-soaked, soul-inspiring, warm jazz-inflected deep house that feels born in a more natural period of Earthly evolution. In fact, it was born after time spent in South Africa, one of the global epicentres of this genre, where the producer was involved in an NGO charity project. Immediately catchy, resolutely life-affirming, and probably the grooviest thing we've had all month.

Boogie Nights (3:23)
Review: Pleasurewood's Off The Wall/Boogie Nights 7" offers a fresh, alternative take on Rod Temperton's iconic hits. Imagine a world where Temperton never joined Heatwave or worked with Quincy Jones, but instead, explored post-psychedelic rock, Ghanaian funk and early 80s synth sounds in a West Berlin commune. This intriguing parallel universe is the sonic playground of Pleasurewood, a Suffolk-based collective known for their genre-bending, experimental approach. Side 1's 'Off The Wall' opens with a haze of phased bass, driving a funky, percussion-heavy groove layered with soaring synthesisers. On Side-2, 'Boogie Nights' takes a darker, slower approach, led by an ominous bassline and solitary cowbell before the synths break through like thunder. This 7" invites listeners to dive deeper into Pleasurewood's immersive reimagining of Temperton's classics.

As for the choice of cover, the Tokyo jazzdance quartet have chosen well; while they've only gone and done it - reinterpreted Mike's timeless club masterpiece with a full band sound - they refuse to sacrifice any danceability or DJ mixability, doing full justice to the term "hi-tech" despite the freehanded naturalism. Also coming backed by the original B-sider 'Wake Me Up', 'Hi-Tech Jazz' heralds Polyplus' upcoming tenth anniversary album, Cosmic, as well as a jet-setting tour spanning Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka.

1960 What ? (Opolopo Kick & Bass Rerub)
Review: ***B-STOCK: Creasing to corner of outer sleeve but otherwise in excellent condition***

When Gregory Porter first released "1960 What?" back in 2012, he'd yet to become the soul superstar we know and love today. The single was released in limited numbers first time round and, thanks to his elevation to star status, has become an in-demand collector's item - hence this timely reissue. It's every bit as classic-sounding as the majority of Porter's work, with the main man providing an impassioned delivery of conscious lyrics over a wonderful soul-jazz backing track. Serious contemporary dancefloor thrills are provided by Opolopo's superb flipside revision, which re-imagines the track as a bass-heavy chunk of jazz-house brilliance that rivals St Germain's "Rose Rouge" in its ability to send dancefloors wild.

The split 12" from East London's Portico Quartet and Polish pianist Hania Rani exemplifies how simple ideas can yield remarkable results. Each artist reworked the other's track, with impressive outcomes. Portico Quartet transforms Rani's 'Nest' into a dreamy, ethereal jazz piece, featuring undulating analogue synths, immersive chords, and floaty vocal samples carried by languid jazz drumming. Rani's take on Portico Quartet's 'With, Beside, Against' is even more striking. Her version, minimalistic and sparse, introduces twinkling piano motifs and her evocative vocals, creating a slowly unfolding, cinematic jazz experience. The A-side, like the B-side, is a remix from Kero Uno and it brings a swaying Latin feel and broken beats to the classic original vocal which rings out with a pained soul next to the eerie synths. Review: Resonance is the superb new album from Essa and Pitch 92. Essa is something of a veteran who back in the early part of this millennium was putting out tunes under the name Yungun. He is a Londoner and lawyer who played a key part in the UK's golden hip-hop era and picked up props for his work from dons like Nas while also working with De La Soul, Wu-Tang Clan, Guru, Slum Village and Pharoahe Monch. This record taps into that time with its soul-drenched, low-slung and late-night beats, specially and politically aware lyrics and gorgeous samples. A contemporary classic steeped in authenticity.

Review: Italian DJ and Producer Jo Paciello proves that full length album do very much still have a place int he modern world wit his superb debut on Groove Culture. The title of this one gives you an idea of what to expect - jazzy melodies and sophisticated house beats. He does so with a modern viewpoint but also plenty of reverence for the glory days of jazzy house. Trumpets, saxophones and guitars all feature here and embellish the drums with quality, meaningful layers of melody adn mood. As he merges the past and present, this richly textured work shines with improvisation and timeless deep house warmth.

Review: Low End Love Songs is the latest record from bucket-hatted, red-ballied soul and funk multi-instrumentalist Pale Jay. The songwriter and crooner aims for a square lot of humility (although his talents might in some respect leave him without need of it) on this new nine-tracker, musing on personal transformation and maturation through the simmering one, two-steps of retro soul and pop production. Commanding an impressive instrumental nostalgia - filtered, detuned, sustained Hammonds; high-tamed drum hits; boosted piano solos; organic bass layers serving a scooped-out headroom in which Jay's jellied vocals can neatly fit - this record plays out like the sonic equivalent of a time-flecked painting, not shunning but embracing opportunities for moments of absentia and mystery, formally spurring us to ask the central question, "who is he? where is he from? what next?".

Review: Few artists nowadays set out with the intention to bewilder, perahps for fear of losing popularity, but Pale Jay is an exception. The oft misunderstood feeling is the central affective inspiration behind the eponymous new record from the masked London-based soul singer's latest album, which pairs washed-out, totally self-produced, downtempo tropical-sonics against starkly opposed themes of a family's gradual disintegration due to years of avoidance and miscommunication. A retroactive reflection on one artist's personal quest for an identity he could finally feel comfortable with, Bewilderment is, aside from the immediate resonance of its theme, also a testament to Jay's polyvalent talents as an instrumentalist and producer.

Review: Masked soul crusader Pale Jay returns with his latest record, Low End Love Songs, a self-described "diary in form of song." Likening the coming together of his musical inspirations to the ripening of fruit, Jay says the "entire album came together in just four weeks, a process that was both cathartic and joyful," and with each song bottling a distinct moment in his life, music serving as a means of processing complex and sometimes conflictual emotions. Jay departs from loop-based song structures towards more intricate compositions and ballads here, best among which are the star single 'Easy, Lee' and the currently apt 'Spend More Time With Your Friends'.

Review: Panoram crafts soundscapes for dreams that take unexpected turns. Imagine dozing off on a lazy afternoon with the TV murmuring in the background, snippets of conversation drifting through an open window. Half-formed thoughts wander into a surreal movie behind closed eyelids-vivid colours, unfamiliar characters. Across 17 sketch-like tracks, Panoram weaves a labyrinth where reality blurs: ethereal vocal pads, faux guitar, detuned synths, bursts of flute, and orchestral percussion, even cheeky cartoon samples. It's chillout music with a cool edge, ambient with a hint of irony. Great Times challenges ambient norms, offering cryptic tracks that explore fleeting ideas-where anxiety, distraction and grace intersect.

Review: Papa Romeo's debut LP, Late Night Load Out, encapsulates their journey through dreamy indie rock, ambient jazz and post-punk influences. Chronicling their formative years gigging across Ireland, the album reflects the highs and lows of late-night gear hauls after shows. Now based in London, their music has garnered support from DJs and broadcasters, with singles gaining traction on BBC 6 Music and NTS. With appearances at prominent festivals and sold-out shows, Papa Romeo has established themselves as a versatile act, earning recognition as an Artist to Watch for 2024 by Hot Press Magazine. Late Night Load Out not only showcases their musical range but also their ability to captivate audiences, making them a promising addition to the indie scene. A very exciting debut album to check out.

This new and vital collection features a blend of crooning rockers and bubble-pop jams that do a good job of showcasing the artist's playful and experimental spirit. The album delves into complex emotions as he embarks on a journey of "radical growth" through therapy and ultimately discovers the path to becoming a therapist. Each track grapples with themes of change, unlearning past behaviours and the continuous cycle of personal development. As such this is more than just a good listen is a thought-provoking work that prompts lots of inward reflection as you experience the artist's introspective exploration and joyful creativity.

Review: Returning, Dream, the sophomore album from Jack Wyllie's Paradise Cinema, blends the rhythmic intensity of African percussion with ambient textures and electronic influences. Created in London with contributions from Dakar and Sydney, the album draws inspiration from the Many Worlds theory of quantum physics, where each decision branches into new possibilities. This concept mirrors the album's abundant rhythmic diversity, led by hand drums like the tama, sabar, and surdo, played by Khadim Mbaye, Tons Sembe, and Laurence Pike. Wyllie's use of woodwinds, reeds, and synthetic layers creates a lush soundscape. The title track, 'Returning, Dream', revolves around hypnotic flute loops and ritualistic rhythms, while 'Tide' recalls Steve Reich's minimalism with delicate metallic chimes and dizzying, ecstatic patterns. 'Night Search' blends saxophone skronk with North African tonalities, invoking the trance-like riffing of the Master Musicians of Joujouka and the spiritual heights of Pharoah Sanders. 'A Morning In The Near Future' is mellow and meditative, while 'Nowhere, Home' offers a noirish, Blade Runner-esque atmosphere. Wyllie's Returning, Dream is a bold, genre-blurring journey that merges global rhythms with innovative soundscapes.

Review: Jeff Parker's The Way Out of Easy harnesses his long-running ETA IVtet's residency at the Los Angeles creative music venue, ETA. Featuring saxophonist Josh Johnson, bassist Anna Butterss, and drummer Jay Bellerose, the album comprises four expansive tracks recorded live on January 2, 2023. Known for their transcendental, groove-oriented improvisations, the ETA IVtet's sound evolved over seven years, blending minimalism and polyrhythmic mantras. Engineered by Bryce Gonzales, who designed a custom mixer specifically for the group, The Way Out of Easy presents a pure, transparent auditory experience. The set begins with 'Freakadelic', a composition from Parker's 2012 album, before moving through meditative and richly textured pieces like 'Late Autumn' and 'Easy Way Out'. The album closes with a spontaneous dub/reggae groove titled 'Chrome Dome'. As the final chapter in ETA's history, The Way Out of Easy is a testament to the ensemble's deep creative synergy and the enduring spirit of the venue.

Review: Pianist and composer Aaron Parks made his first Blue Note appearance as a member of Terence Blanchard's band; an outfit akin to The Jazz Messengers in its cultivation of future jazz greats. After appearing on the trumpeter's albums Bounce, Flow, and A Tale of God's Will through the early 2000s, Parks made his own Blue Note debut in 2008 with Invisible Cinema, a striking album that has only grown in its influence across the modern jazz landscape since its release. The band - a quartet featuring the pianist with Mike Moreno on guitar, Matt Penman on bass, and Eric Harland on drums - travelled across new sonic and rhythmic frontiers on this set of Parks' evocative original compositions which were imbued with a cinematic drama and drew inspiration from the likes of Wayne Shorter, Radiohead, Bjork, Meshell Ndegeocello, and more. This first-time vinyl release includes two bonus tracks previously only available in Japan.

Once again, Little Big pack a microcosmic punch for a macrocosmic time, bringing concise, accessible songwriting and vibrant, empathetic playing to a powerfully modern, post-genre concept for improvised music in the 21st Century. From the serene navy blues of 'Delusions' to the flourishingly measured basement bar bravura of 'Ashe', this is a cracking blue jazz album, held together by Parks in fusion with the the unique talents of David Ginyard Jr., Jongkuk Kim and Greg Tuohey.

Review: Parlor Greens' debut album, In Green / We Dream, is a triumphant arrival in the realm of heavy instrumental music. Comprising Tim Carman on drums, Jimmy James on guitar, and Adam Scone on organ, this trio delivers a masterclass in soulful groove and virtuosity. Scone's organ mastery shines brilliantly, influenced by soul jazz legends like Dr. Lonnie Smith, while James adds his signature funky flair on guitar. Carman's blues-infused rhythms provide a solid foundation that drives each track with precision and depth. Recorded live to tape at Colemine Records' Portage Lounge, the album captures the raw energy and instant chemistry of these seasoned musicians. With ten original compositions and one cover, Parlor Greens seamlessly blend nostalgia with contemporary vigour, making In Green / We Dream one dynamic album.

Review: Parlor Greens' debut album, In Green We Dream, is a prime example of the raw energy and collaborative spirit that defines their sound. Comprised of seasoned musicians Tim Carman on drums, Jimmy James on guitar, and Adam Scone on organ, this organ trio from Colemine Records dives headfirst into a rich blend of jazz, soul, and funk. The album bursts with vintage vibes reminiscent of Blue Note and Prestige records, yet infused with their distinct flair. From the lively groove of 'Parlor Strut,' where Jimmy James's guitar work shines with rhythm and precision, to the soulful sway of 'Sugar Maple,' each track features their musical chemistry and individual strengths. Adam Scone's masterful command of the organ adds depth and soulfulness throughout, drawing from his extensive experience in the soul revival scene. Recorded at Colemine's Portage Lounge, the album captures the spontaneity and magic of their initial jam session, yielding ten original compositions and a cover, all delivered with infectious energy and tight musicianship. Review: Parlor Greens' debut album, In Green / We Dream, is an exhilarating entry into heavy instrumental music. This fresh organ trio, featuring Tim Carman (GA-20) on drums, Jimmy James (True Loves, formerly Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio) on guitar, and Adam Scone (Scone Cash Players, The Sugarman 3) on organ, delivers a masterful blend of soul, jazz, and funk. Scone's impeccable organ work, honed through years of soul jazz and Daptone sessions, pairs perfectly with James' signature funky guitar and Carman's rock-solid, blues-infused drumming. Recorded at Colemine Records' new Portage Lounge studio in Loveland, Ohio, the chemistry was immediate. Within minutes of plugging in, the trio wrote and recorded 'West Memphis,' setting the tone for the rest of the album. Over three days, they crafted 11 tracks - ten originals - capturing a raw, soulful energy straight to tape. The result is a stunning collection of music, mixed beautifully for a vintage yet fresh sound. In Green / We Dream is a fantastic debut, showcasing Parlor Greens' collective genius and undeniable groove.

Review: This gem is a spontaneous musical collaboration with raw and unfiltered creativity. The Hameenlinna-based band, comprising of Victor "Pascal" Tokpanou, Tuure "Baya" Tammi, Ville-Pekka "Ray" Jarvinen and Juha "Murray" Sarkkola, channels their long-standing connection through a series of unrehearsed, organic jam sessions. Built on years of collective experience, the band creates music that feels both intimate and free-flowing, as if each note and rhythm is a direct conversation between its members. Recorded at their home base, Odd Funk Records, the album embraces analogue experimentation with reel-to-reel mixing, adding layers of warmth, scratches and imperfections that give the tracks a tactile, earthy feel. Each piece reflects the group's diversity, with titles inspired by the four languages they speakiFinnish, French, Fon and Englishifurther emphasising the multicultural influences at play. This long-player is a celebration of musical connection, a dynamic exploration of groove, energy and expression that invites listeners into the band's vibrant world of improvisation and discovery.

Raised in Hudson Valley and based in Los Angeles, the multi-instrumentalist moves seamlessly across genres and his work includes quasi-IDM and electronic pop, experimental sessions with new-age icons like Laraaji and Carlos NiNo and electronic folk-jazz collaborations with global musicians. Review: Photay aka. Evan Shornstein makes a determined return with Windswept, his latest LP for Mexican Summer. Building on but also somewhat departing from a built repertoire of post-IDM come funky sonics, this latest outing moves in a slightly more new age direction, riffing on the many possible worlds implied by the episteme of "Balearic". On an album nominally about the wind, and with an express aim to "mimic the wind", Photay makes deft use here of everything from wind chimes to blustery transigent noise, working them all between chunks of girded downtempo and confident chugs. Still as percussive and tricksy as ever, Shornstein echoes the likes of Letherette and Throwing Snow, meeting both hot and cold fronts of thermostatic dance.
