12" includes remixes by Rude 66 and Elitechnique which take it even deeper into space and onto nu-disco dancefloors. Dutch electro
artist Rude 66, with releases on labels like Viewlexx, Bunker and Crème Organization, previously remixed Sally's hit 'I'll Be By Your Side',
receiving plenty of club play from DJs like The Hacker and Tiga. His take on this 12", titled 'Deeper Space Woman', is a slow and deep,
dubby trip which will work well as a start-up for slower DJ sets. Dutch duo Elitechnique, with releases on Clone and Radius and earlier
remixes for Black Devil Disco Club and Alden Tyrell, take the track into a nu-disco dancefloor monster called 'Outer Space Woman' with
additional backing vocals by the Dutch actress Loes. The 12" ends with a wicked sidechain dance version of a computer game track,

Review: In something of a surprising move Rinse turn to the straight-up tech-house styles for their latest various 12", representing a sound a world away from the grime roots of the label. Richy Ahmed is most readily associated with Jamie Jones and the Hot Natured brand, and here he throws down some limber acid arranged in a stripped down style that reflects his surroundings neatly. Clive Henry's SAS project turns out a more pumped up excursion in "Cloak & Dagger", full of gnarly stabs and insistent beats for the darker dancefloor, leaving it to Michael Jansons to lighten the mood with the sassy "All I Give".

Review: Deep House doesn't get deeper than Deep Explorer, Dubbyman's evergreen label transmitting out of Spain. On this latest 12", Allstarr Motomusic makes a welcome return after the first volume of Beauty & Simplicty back in 2015. This time they're working in collaboration with vocalist Sarignia Bonfa and the results are stunning. "Burning (In My Soul)" is a gorgeous, dubbed out slice of deep house with a true Midwest flavour, while "El Sonido Deepex" takes things into even more sultry territory. There's also space for downtempo reflection on "Space Of Life", but also watch out for the deadly remix of "The Whole Hood In My House" by CVO.

Review: 2016 has been an important year for the Beesmunt Soundsystem duo, led by David Va Der Leeuw and Luigi Antonio Jansen and, this new EP for London's Church imprint alongside San Proper is both firmly on-point and exactly the sort of smooth, laid-back house we're vibing on. "Simcha Riddim" gets three versions: There's the slow, balearic OG mix with its cool harmonics and warm glow of vocals, the more kinetic swing of the Percussion dub mix, and a fuller, more beat-heavy remix by Project Pablo. All in all, this makes for a fine slice of house and another stellar addition to the Church catalogue.

As a result, founder Dusty is in a celebratory mood and has decided to offer-up this compilation style EP of previously unreleased treats from label artists old and new. Review: On the Prowl launch their new sub label with help from legendary New York house producer, Marcos Cabral. "OTP Party Breaks Volume 1," which also features collaboration between Cabral and Shux, drops two tracks of the warm, disco flavoured, deep house that is currently making a storm over in New York City.
This first release is poised to set the tone of the whole imprint, who are expected to put out distinctly NY flavoured records from the city's favourite artists and producers. Marcos Cabral from Runaway certainly fits the bill, having also released on the likes of DFA, I'm A Cliche, Muke and Rekids, he is a true legend on the city’s house scene. He collaborates with Chinatown Records partner Brennan Green on the EP's opening track, "Lifetime Groove," an epic twelve minute journey through laid back and groovy disco house. It has a classic feel right from the start with a retro bassline but with Balearic overtones and a dubby, feel good sentiment.
On the flip, Cabral lays his hand to Lil Louis' classic garage house track "Club Lonely." It is a simple rework, using straight forward loops and samples. The chord stabs keep the club vibes strong as repetitive saxophone flurries continue to build the tension. Bringing the 90s anthem up to date, Cabral gets a mainstay of Runaway’s set on record at long last.

Review: Mr K takes on two boogie tracks here, giving them the extended Krivit golden touch. Side A features an edit of change's "Hold Tight", taken from their 1981 Atlantic LP "Miracles" and featuring Jocelyn Brown on vocals, with a super loud pressing - mid tempo disco soul doesn't get much better. Over on the flip he re-edits the classic Mtume/Lucas-Penned track "What'cha Gonna Do With My Lovin" by Stephanie Mills, originally out on 20th Century in 1979, and delivers a handy 9 minute edit perfect for DJ use.

Review: D3 Recordings offshoot D3 Elements is only three releases deep, but already their releases are reaching "must check" status. Following their recent release of a superb EP from US deep house veteran Brian Harden, the Paris-based imprint offers up something a little different - an EP of gorgeously deep and melodic flavours that joins the dots between head-nodding instrumental hip-hop and floor-friendly 4/4 fare. There are plenty of surprises, too, including techno stalwart Terrence Parker delivering a flute-heavy downtempo head-nodder, some gorgeous beatdown from Detroiter Mike Clark, and a thrillingly string-laden chunk of deep house bliss from the aforementioned Harden. Recommended.

Review: Continuing their fine vintage of releases in 2011, Tigersushi's attentions cross the English Channel where two generations of music making join forces for the excellent Gravity EP. The names Justin Robertson (here under his Deadstock 33s alias) and Stopmakingme should be familiar to your ears, and this release marks the first occasion they've collaborated together fully - having swapped remixes in recent times as well as releasing a track together for Southern Fried. There's much to enjoy here among the four tracks that straddle the tempos and moods, with the title track the most horizontally leaning and sprawling in its outlook. "Park Drive" is a more elastic, analogue heavy accompaniment, similar in its cavernous treatment of rhythms to a Chicken Lips production and it's matched in the energy gifting stakes by "Oscillate" which operates on a similar level of fun to James Curd's DFA classic. "A Rising Madness" completes this release, aptly titled as it gradually rises from a drum machine heavy intro a surfeit of schizophrenic synth modulations.

Orgonite (Riding the Waves) does just that, a slow build awash in the ebb and flow of acid tinges, just enough to wet your whistle on a Saturday night. The original mix keeps the skeletal support but throws in a life preserver of 8 bit gaming synthesis. Frisky arps call and respond to each other before making way for sinewy pads to lift off. Tiger's Eye sets itself onto cruising speed incorporating elements of late 90's acid techno with the sleek and smooth clubbing aesthetics of modern day Berlin.

Review: Tresor again opens its vault, this time skipping the '90s inspired techno for four old school house cuts from Deepside, Santonio, Xperiment and AES, all of which featured on DJ Deep's excellent Kern mix CD. Deepside opens the first volume of Kern rarities with an acid based drum dance in "III", whereas Santonio plays on looped keys and jumbled strings in "Amnesia". Xperiment hits up a plodding bass line alongside a Beverly Hills Cop sounding melody and jacking drums, and AES brings the only vocals to the EP with a classic cut of Chicago house.

The man at the control is fun-time rework specialist Dr Packer, an Australian scalpel specialist who has spent the last few years contributing tidy edits to a variety of well-regarded labels. First, he adds a little late '80s house shuffle to a soul-fired, boogie-era disco classic, before turning the equally familiar "Still in Love" into a bouncy, club-ready chunk of disco-house full of swirling strings and Chic-style guitars. On the flip the good doctor gets his hands a much-sampled electrofunk workout, retaining the drum delays while adding a touch of nu-disco swagger, before brilliantly dubbing out and tooling up the synth-heavy swagger of 1985 hit "I'll Be Good".

Review: Brand spanking new label Sccucci Manucci launches with a 12" offering containing cuts from four different but equally pleasing sources. Those of you who hang out at the crossroads where disco meets house will no doubt already be keenly aware of the stylings of Aussie pup Francis Inferno Orchestra, and here he turns in piano-driven stomper "Horizon Beat". No less euphoric is "Scare The Night" by Jonno & Tommo - alas not a production duo from Far North Queensland but the considerably less tropical climes of London - who drop an oven warm slow-mo jam that brings to mind I:Cube's epic "Falling". Review: 3 Exclusive & Unreleased tracks from the forthcoming Elements of Jazz 3 album on UK label Slip n Slide. Nigel Hayes super rare 'Augustus' track is remixed by Ame, who's Defected signed 'Rej' track has made them quite possibly the most in demand deep house producers on the circuit right now. Original a bonus track on Nigel's 'Manipulation EP' Ame's remix adds a whole new flavour to the track keeping things deep & techy with just the right amount of techno-soul thrown in. On the flip, Blaze's 'Sacred Sex' has never been released and here is remixed by one half of Soul Khula (Gossip/Undo) exclusively for this album project. The original of this track was part of Blaze's 'Basic Blaze' album, and this new remix brings together pure deep house sounds along with some techier stabs. Finally Shur-I-Kan & Milton Jackson supplying the exclusive dub version of their 'Finding Time' track.
