Notes: The EHX 5MM Guitar Power Amplifier is a pocket-sized power amp that’s a great alternative to a traditional guitar amplifier. It’s super portable and perfect in playing situations where a high-powered amp is not required… like when you’re mic’d on stage, in the studio or as a backup. It produces 2.5 watts so one of the cool things about it is that it doesn’t take much to start getting some nice drive and saturation. Plus, it can be connected directly to any 8 O – 16 O speaker cabinet.

The 5MM is complete simplicity. It features a Volume control and a Bright switch which, when engaged, adds presence to the signal. Since it is a power amp, a preamp, overdrive pedal and, or an EQ in front of it will really let you dial in your tone, but it can be used by itself. The 5MM Power Amplifier also comes equipped with its own power supply.

Notes: Originally designed by Josh Scott of JHS Pedals and graphic designer, Daniel Danger as a homage to Electro-Harmonix in what Josh and Daniel consider the company's design heyday of the 1970s, the EHX Lizard Queen Octave Fuzz is a nano-sized version of the pedal brought to life by the engineers at Electro-Harmonix that has all of the tones and vibes of the original circuit design by Josh. The tone is inspired by EHX's fuzz pedigree with a unique analog octave up circuit that has all the vibe of the original design first featured on the JHS Show in 2022. This creates a completely new and unique EHX fuzz sound we've never heard before. To further tell the tale, the pedal is adorned with vintage EHX-inspired graphics designed by Daniel.

Housed in EHX's Nano-sized chassis, the EHX Lizard Queen is a fixed gain fuzz pedal which features Volume, Octave, and Balance knobs. Volume controls the overall output volume level. The Octave control adjusts the level of the octave-up signal from zero to full octave chaos. Perfect for dialing in a crushing rhythm sound or a chimey, clanging lead sound. The Balance knob sets the tone balance between the smoother Shadow setting and the raspy, biting Sun setting. The effect of the Balance control is especially apparent with the octave set high.

Expanding on Electro Harmonix's first homage to the tone that launched a thousand riffs, the EHX Satisfaction Plus delivers a wide palette of tones from classic '60s snarl to creamy lead tone to thick, earth-shaking sludge!

Where the original Satisfaction Fuzz circuit was a focused tribute, the Satisfaction Plus Fuzz treats the classic tone to a modern control set that includes a FAT/NORM mode switch, Bias control, and Tone knob. The added FAT mode features a tone that is bigger and warmer than the NORM mode for woolly leads and giant wall-of-thunder riffs. The Tone control is an active tilt-shift EQ that inversely controls both the treble and bass of the fuzz for broad tonal shifting. Set the Bias control to dial in the fuzz character from balanced and open to gated and snarly.

The Roland SDD-320 Dimension D: A Studio Legend

Very quickly after its debut in 1979, the Roland SDD-320 Dimension D became a go-to secret weapon for audio engineers and music producers around the world. It can be heard on countless classic records in all genres, and is still regularly used today. From guitars, electric pianos, and synths to strings, backing vocals, and more, the Dimension D injects instant spatial mojo and sonic glue without creating an obvious "effect" sound.

The DC-2W's SDD-320 mode fully captures the original Dimension D vibe in every way. Many engineers like to press multiple buttons on the Dimension D rack for new and different sounds. But in truth, only two actual sound variations are technically possible with this undocumented feature. With its modern switching, the DC-2W's SDD-320 mode enables six sound variations when two buttons are pressed, including four "in-between" sounds and two all-new voices.

The BOSS DC-2 Dimension C: 3D Sound in a Compact Pedal

Introduced in 1985, the DC-2 Dimension C pedal brought the Dimension D's distinctive spatial effect to the BOSS compact pedal format. While the Dimension D was designed as a studio effect that supported either mono or stereo input sources, the DC-2 was specifically created for mono sources like guitar, and features a modified circuit that produces a Dimension effect with a slightly different tonal flavour.

Notes: Harvezi Hazze is a versatile and unique distortion pedal with a wide tonal palette.

The heart of Harvezi Hazze is a waveshaper designed around a unijunction transistor, a relic from the early days of the semiconductor industry unearthed from the e-waste bins of flea markets in Tbilisi, Georgia.

The unique properties of the unijunction transistor allow one simple component to replace a number of very complex devices: depending on the operating mode, we can get a distortion, a limiter, a waveshaper and a generator - with a smooth transition between them. Experiments have shown that this transistor is an excellent basis for a distortion stompbox.

The name translates from Georgian as "a fault on the transmission line" or "signal jamming", and both the semantic and phonetic natures of it unequivocally imply what to expect - an impediment to the input signal, ranging from pleasant harmonic distortions to complete obliteration. The signal chain of the unit consists of an optical compressor with fixed parameters; a dual-mode distorting amplifier with either softer or harsher clipping; a waveshaper built around a unijunction transistor; and a tone stack section trying to tame all this mess.

Signal Chain:

Input -> Compressor -> Distorting amplifier -> Waveshaper -> Tone stack -> Output

Controls:

Gain - controls the output amplitude of the signal in the distorting amplifier section. Depending on the position of the switch, the distortion introduced by this section is soft (switch in the left position) or more aggressive with an abundance of high harmonics (middle position).

Spoil and Spread - control the operation of the unijunction transistor (waveshaper section). Spoil sets the point on the amplitude axis at which the wave will fold, and Spread sets the amplitude of the folding. The sonic meaning of these knobs can be described as follows: the higher the Spread value, the more severe the distortion will be, and Spoil changes timbre and response threshold. By adjusting Spoil you can achieve various gating and cutoff effects. At low Spread values, distortion sounds are mixed into the clean sound.

Tone - adjusts the brightness of the sound; the higher the value, the more high harmonics are present in the signal.

The switch regulates either the distortion mode in the amplifier section (left and center positions), or it turns on the total feedback mode (right position), when the values of all knobs begin to influence each other and effects occur such as resonance at certain frequencies and self-oscillation.

Level - controls the output volume of the signal.

The footswitch routes the signal through the effect circuitry or from input to output directly (true bypass).

The array of switches on the side of the unit gives a few more tonal options:

TONE STACK - routes the signal through the tone stack section (Tone knob).

BASS BOOST - enhances bass frequencies.

TONE MODE - changes the behaviour of the Tone knob (tilt or lowpass).

NOTCH FREQ - changes the central frequency of the filter.

HIGH CUT - attenuates high frequencies.

COMPRESSOR - routes the signal through the compressor.

The lower position of the switch enables the function.

Want to elevate your sonic spirit to a higher level? Try running Zoar at higher voltage! Zoar can handle power up to 18v DC. Higher voltages will yield a different frequency response with more defined dynamics and a faster response. When powered at 18v, the range of clean tones are widened, dirty tones become punchier with better note articulation, low frequencies are tightened, higher frequencies will cover a broader spectrum without becoming harsh and the output volume nearly doubles! The experience is not unlike plugging into a wall of high wattage tube amplifiers!

This meticulously crafted box has six knobs that allow you to truly customize your sound with the Level, Weight, Gain, Bass, Middle, and Treble controls.

The Gain control on Zoar goes from the edge of break up all the way over the cliff into the crunchy, grinding abyss. The character of the distortion is heavily dependent on the setting of the Weight control as well as the pickup type and further fine-tuned by the EQ section.

Zoar's 3-Band EQ and Gain controls give you nearly unlimited options with great focus and sensitive precision, but the real powerhouse of Zoar is the Weight control. This control dictates the amount of low end that is passed into the circuit, thus controlling the entire character of the pedal. Simply dial in the 3-Band EQ to 12 o'clock and adjust the Weight to see how drastically it dictates your sound. From a mere clean boost to a high gain distortion to overdrive to the crispy Hi-Fi fuzz territory, this function gives you everything.

The Level control hits unity around noon, but this is dependent on where the other controls are set. In addition to controlling the output volume, it also plays a small part in controlling the voice of Zoar. By adjusting the Level control with any combination of EQ (boosting the frequency bands and cutting the output volume), you can achieve drastically different curves that have the feel of the more traditional low pass filter type tone control.

Notes: Voodoo Vibe is a mini guitar effect pedal that is recreates the rotating speaker effects produced by the classic uni vibe pedals used by famous guitarists from the 60's to the present day. Controls for Speed, Intensity and Volume give a wide range of adjustment to home in on the perfect vibe effect. An illuminated mini push button above the rotary controls can switch between a classic psychedelic vibe effect or a more chorus-type effect. Holding this button down during power-up selects between mono output or stereo output, which requires a stereo jack lead. Pressing the footswitch engages or disengages the effect. The smart tap tempo feature means that the pedal recognises pressing the footswitch twice or in a short space of time and responds to the timing as a tap tempo function. Perfect for trippy arpeggios and ethereal chord work.

The late 1970s rarity Electro-Harmonix Slap-Back Echo pedal is reissued with modern updates and a Pico footprint!

The 50s era gave birth to an iconic sound in which a single, short delay was utilized to add depth and rhythmic effect on countless recordings. The newly reissued all-analog design of the EHX Slap-Back Echo delivers this beloved classic sound and more in a Pico-sized pedalboard-friendly package. With three delay time settings and up to +20dB of boost, the Slap-Back Echo can achieve subtle doubling effects to intense bathroom reflections all with the distinct flavor of bucket-brigade (BBD) circuitry.

Housed in EHX's Pico-sized chassis, the Slap-Back Echo features Gain and Blend knobs as well as a Time switch. The Gain knob controls the input signal before the echo circuit and also adjusts the overall volume at the output with a boost of up to +20dB. The Blend knob mixes the dry signal and the echo signal from 100% dry to 100% echo. The Time switch selects between three different delay times: 45ms, 65ms, and 100ms.

Welcome to the new SolidGoldFX EM-III Multi-Head Octave Echo; the smallest, most powerful and by far the most versatile SolidGoldFX delay pedal to date.

Building on SGFX's Electroman Delay legacy, the EM-III manages to both echo the past, present and future. With EM-III's wide-ranging yet ultra-intuitive control set, warm analogue-voiced echoes, precise and modern delay, as well as experimental and futuristic sound designs, are all just a single stomp away.

At your feet (or fingers) you have a multi-head tape style echo, with the ability to add in a signal an octave lower to the primary delay head. This can result in dancing, rhythmic delays with body and gravitas, as well as bold washy soundscapes. These two core features are controlled via a single mini-toggle. Flick it left to select between 1, 2 or 3 delay heads or flick it right to toggle the octave effect on and off. From there, just set your Delay Level, Repeats and Time via the knobs or tap in your preferred tempo via the soft-click tap tempo switch and let the good echo times roll.

The EM-III also sports delay modulation introduced via the Flutter control. Keep it at centre position for no modulation. Dial it left for a slow and dreamy chorus-like modulation or right for a faster vibrato, letting you create lush oceanic movement, tape-style crinkles, eerie tension and beautiful dissonance.

The colour knob allows you to engage both high-pass and low-pass filtering. Dead-centre you have a pristine full-frequency digital delay.

Dial it to the left and you cut the highs, creating warm, murky analogue-esque repeats. Dial it to the right and you suck out the lows for crisp and bright tape-style repeats or super thin lo-fi delays.

EM-III also brings interactive warp and glitch features to the tonal table by pressing and holding either Tap, Bypass or both at the same time. Hold Tap to increase the repeats until self-oscillation, creating a swelling wall of sound. Hold Bypass to replicate the sound of a tape motor on the fritz and a tape reel snapping, or hold both for glorious noise seances that will act as the perfect song/set closer.

The EHX Turnip Greens is a multi-effect pedal that combines the Soul Food Overdrive and Holy Grail Max Reverb.

The Soul Food delivers transparent sounds starting with clean boost and progressing all the way to intense overdrive. It's equally adept at adding punch to a player's tone, pushing an amp into saturation or in front of other dirt pedals driving them into new worlds of distortion.

The Holy Grail Max provides four carefully crafted reverbs: Spring, Hall, Plate and Reverse. A newly designed analog wet/dry control yields a constant volume curve as the Blend knob is turned from fully dry to fully wet, while also keeping the dry signal analog through the pedal.

Notes: Pulse is a miniature IR (impulse response) loader pedal, that can apply a specific tonal profile to the input signal. Speaker cabinets typically change the tone of a guitar or bass guitar in a musical way, which is often collected using a microphone for sending to a mixing console for recording or sound reinforcement. Connecting the signal to a mixer before the speaker usually produces a sterile and harsh sound, which is where the Pulse pedal comes in. This pedal can mimic the speaker cabinet and microphone, meaning that the guitar signal can be taken straight from the preamp section and injected into a channel on the mixer. Another use for IR loaders is to mimic the response of an acoustic guitar, making an electric guitar sound more like an acoustic or an electro-acoustic guitar sound more natural. The EHX Lizard King is a fixed-gain fuzz that is dynamically responsive. Adjustments to your instruments volume affects the amount of fuzz. Lower instrument volumes create a clear, fuzzy overdrive, while full instrument volume sends the gain over the top for ripping riff and searing solo tones. The familiar VOLUME and OCTAVE knobs control overall output and octave blend volume respectively. New to the Lizard King, the BLEND knob sets the mix between your clean and fuzz tones to create the perfect balance of fuzz while retaining your bass's attack and low-end. The TONE knob is a low pass filter that rolls off the highs, while the SUN/SHADOW switch further enhances the tone of the octave fuzz and clean tones. The Looper X2 is a dual-footswitch operated looper pedal aimed at providing fast loop creation with no shortage of space to save your favorite tracks and samples. With 11 song banks, each bank featuring 7 save slots, the Looper X2 provides a total of 300 minutes recording time (2.5 mins per slot in bank 1-9, 10 min each in bank 10, 11). This device features Flexi-Switchr Technology! This relay-based, true bypass switching style allows you to simultaneously use momentary and latching style switching.
For standard latching operation, tap the footswitch once to activate the effect and then tap again to bypass.
For momentary operation, hold the footswitch down for as long as you'd like to use the effect. Once you release the switch the effect will be bypassed.
Since the switching is relay based, it requires power to pass signal.

Power

This device takes a standard 9 volt DC power supply with a 2.1mm negative center barrel. Earthquaker Devices always recommend pedal-specific, transformer-isolated wall-wart power supplies or multiple isolated-output supplies. Pedals will make extra noise if there is ripple or unclean power. Switching-type power supplies, daisy chains and non-pedal specific power supplies do not filter dirty power as well and let through unwanted noise.

PSYCLOP is not your average Effects Loop Mixer. Capable of managing any type of signal from instruments or effects pedals, PSYCLOP seamlessly blends them with its parallel effects loop.

Its features include Input Attenuation of up to -20 dB and an Output Gain Boost of up to +20 dB in order to match any signals. For unity gain, simply set the Input Attenuation Amount to 100% with the IN control and using the OUT knob, adjust the Output Gain Level to 0%.

Notes: MOOER has unveiled its latest effect pedal innovation, the MVP1 AUTUNER vocal processor. Unlike most of MOOER's products, this pedal is designed primarily for use with vocals, offering precise pitch correction and exceptional vocal enhancement features. However, MOOER hasn't forgotten about its primary audience, so AUTUNER still provides features that will interest guitarists.

Due to the pedal's primary focus on vocals, the device includes several features specifically designed for microphone usage. This includes XLR input and output, in addition to support for 48V phantom power, ensuring that the pedal supports both dynamic and condenser microphones. However, AUTUNER also includes standard 1/4" guitar inputs and outputs, along with convenient footswitch control to switch between mixed or individual signals.

The pitch correction features behind AUTUNER are highly versatile. With an LED button, users can choose between flat, warm, and bright vocal tones, each indicated by a different colour. The pedal's left footswitch serves as a tap switch, which allows the user to determine the speed of the delay module.

A reverb module is also featured within AUTUNER. This too has its own dedicated dial, which can be used to morph between room delay, hall delay, and plate delay. Whilst the pitch correction features of the pedal are limited only to vocals, these delay and reverb modules ensure that the pedal has plenty of dedicated features to offer MOOER's guitarist fanbase.

As is common with MOOER products, AUTUNER features a wide range of control mechanisms. In addition to the left footswitch's dual functionality, the right footswitch also acts as a bypass for the pitch correction and effects, whilst still ensuring the tone processing remains active. The pedal's tonal enhancements can then be fully bypassed with the 'flat' tone option.

Gloamer is an all-analogue, polyphonic amplitude synthesizer that alters the attack and decay time of any sound source without sacrificing the fidelity of the original tone. Its attack function provides a pick-triggered volume swell: a cinematic "slow gear" effect that is smooth and controllable with variable timing from extremely fast to very slow. The volume swell cycle can be reset at any moment by muting, allowing players to craft bowed string-like lines and chords with ease. Gloamer also features a powerful optical compressor that can add subtle punch or extreme sustain, helping to maintain a smooth volume swell effect even with very long attack times. A Volume knob controls loudness at the peak of the attack cycle, while a master Blend control allows players to layer an uncompressed clean sound in with the volume swell effect. Additionally, when activated, the Decay function causes notes to fade out once the attack cycle is complete. When the decay cycle is completed, an auto-reset function causes the attack to begin again immediately, as long as there is audio input. This allows you to create a wide range of undulating, asymmetrical tremolos at slower settings as well as pulsating stutter effects when using faster attack and decay times.

Notes: Seeking to unapologetically tear apart the definition of a chorus pedal, Old Blood Noise Endeavors have created the BL-82 Chorus. An ode to delay time, this is a device with a variable clock control to shift between recognizable shimmering chorus and chaotic modulated delays.

Two delay lines, modulated by opposite synchronized LFOs, are combined in parallel and the timing of the delay lines, as well as the speed and depth of the LFOs, are all determined by one tactile slider. This allows you to instantly open up the modulated floodgates on the fly and go from well-known waves, to deeply unknown oceans of sound.

BL-82 is a chorus pedal, technically. It creates a swirling shimmery sound somewhere between chorus and flanger from a mono instrument signal. Its two delay lines are stretchable, and that's where the pedal's genre blurs from chorus into modulated delay into trailing pitch bending uncertainty.

The control set for BL-82 is dead simple. A Clock slider sets the timing of the entire system. The sample rate that determines signal fidelity, the centre delay time and the speed of the delay modulation are all affected as the slider slides. The interface is rounded out with feedback, volume, and mix add to an immediate experience that breaks open the boundaries of what it means to be a chorus and allows you to further craft the undulations of this mesmerizing device.

Notes: Distortion and reverb meet in this unique pedal, sporting a joystick to tweak the sound and the option to flip the order of the two effects in the signal chain. Simple, quirky and effective.

Walrus Audio give you the two most quintessential effects that yield unruly amounts of power and influence to an instrumentalist: reverb and distortion. They have been harnessed and woven together for an eternity of ethereal power with The Melee: Wall of Noise. The Melee unapologetically uses a joystick to meld reverb and distortion into one massive blaze of sound. With the flip of the order switch, run the distortion into the reverb or reverb into distortion; signal chain is your call now. For the explorer, the Melee can run one of three different reverb programs Ambient, Octave, and Reverse.

In a less is more approach, Walrus Audio have intentionally decided on controls that are fun to use and will inspire a wealth of creative output. Use the joystick to control the amount of distortion by moving it up and down. Moving the joystick left and right will adjust your reverb mix. The tone and decay toggles have low, medium, and high settings. Modulation can be added to the wet signal by holding down the bypass switch and moving the decay toggle. The left position is no modulation, the middle is a slight modulation, and the right is a high modulation.

Algorithms

The Melee is equipped with three different reverb programs, which can be changed by simultaneously pressing the bypass and sustain stomp switches. Experiment with the order toggle switch to hear how differently these all react in front and after the distortion!

Ambient Reverb (Pink LED) - Huge reverb capable of massive trails and engulfing your chords into an angry wash of sound. Great for soaring melodic lines or shoegaze-driven chord progressions.
Octave Down Reverb (Yellow LED) - Similar to the Dark mode in the Slo, you'll find an eerie lower octave hovering in the reverb trail for a nice and dark atmospheric touch.
Reverse Reverb with Feedback (Blue LED) - Add reversed reverb trails back into your signal, create gentle melodies or push into reverse feedback overload. Big, slow, and sad chords love to hang out here.

Momentary

Press and hold the sustain switch to ramp up the reverb trails. Release and the trails will ramp back down to where the decay switch is currently set. The sustain switch can also latch in all three programs. Press and release the Sustain switch to capture and sustain the current reverb decay for long pad-like sounds in your wet mix. Press again to release the latch, and the reverb trail will taper off based on the position of the decay knob.

Global Controls


Space Knob: Space adds a delightfully charming reverb to your affected signal. Use this knob to modify the mix and decay of the reverb. Go from smaller room sounds to a huge, diffused ambient reverb at maximum settings. It's lush and complimentary, and adding it in with the other effects will put you squarely in dreamscape territory.


Tone Knob: The Tone parameter controls the cutoff of a synth-style resonant low pass filter, allowing you to shape the tone of the effect output.


Series and Parallel: In series, effects will feed into each other in the order of Chorus > Delay > Grain > Output.


In parallel, all of the effect outputs on Chorus, Delay, and Grain are summed together and do not feed into each other. The top row of knobs will act as level controls, and the user can control the level of each effect.


The Mix/Dry parameter controls the mix of wet and dry signal in series mode and dry level in parallel mode.

Grain Controls


The featured Grain effect features two 'flavours' of operation:


Grain Cloud: This mode triggers small samples (grains) randomly from your playing, which gives you unpredictable, yet charming glitchy texture for your sound. The X knob controls the length of time between grains, so you can go from dense clusters to sparse accents.


Phrase Sample: This mode triggers grains rhythmically from your playing. Initial peaks in your playing are detected and grains are played back starting at these peaks, creating a rhythmic and intentional effect. The X knob controls the tempo at which the samples will be played back. Turning the X knob to the minimum position will sync the Phrase Sample time to the Delay time so that repeated grains are in time with the Delay repeats.


The Grain effect also features 5 playback modes that dictate different ways the grain samples are projected.

Delay Controls

The delay effect is a full, clean digital delay that offers repeats for up to two seconds. Use the time knob to control the time between delays as well as the feedback knob to control the amount of delays. The TAP/OSC switch on the bottom right of the pedal can also be used to control the delay effect via tap tempo, or when held down will ramp up the feedback and cause the delay to oscillate.

Subdivisions

Delay trails can be projected in three subdivision modes:

The Chorus effect offers two modes:

With the DD-3T, we've updated the classic stomp with enhanced functionality while fully retaining the original's sound and control layout. In continuous production for over three decades, the DD-3 has been the go-to delay stomp for countless players. The DD-3T's sound circuitry and controls are identical to the DD-3, delivering every drop of that classic vibe you know and love.

A key addition the DD-3T brings is tap tempo, an essential feature for creating the rhythmic delay effects at the heart of many guitar styles. In delay mode, hold the pedal switch for two seconds to toggle between bypass and tap operation. And for on-demand tap control, simply connect an external footswitch. When the DD-3T receives tap input, up to 800 ms of delay time is available, and the Mode knob sets the tap subdivision (quarter-note triplet, dotted-eighth note, or quarter note).

The DD-3T features a direct output jack like the DD-3, but it's been moved next to the main output jack to make connections easier. Plugging a cable into the direct out converts the main out to delay only, allowing you to send wet and dry signals to different amps for wide, immersive sounds. And if your amp or switcher has a parallel effects loop, just connect a dummy plug to the direct out to mute the dry sound for effect-only blending.

The original DD-3 (and DD-2 before) included a forward-thinking Hold function, which allowed you to capture a sound up to 800 ms long, play it continuously, and jam over the top. Many years later, BOSS further developed this creative concept with the successful Loop Station products, which helped spawn the new musical style of live looping. The DD-3T includes the same Hold function as the DD-3, but it's been renamed "Short Loop" to reflect today's common usage.

Notes: Expanding on the concept of our Expression Ramper, Old Blood Noise Endeavors present the Expression Ramper X3, an expression movement shaper capable of manipulating three expression jacks simultaneously with copious control. This utility device brings new sounds out of your old favourites, reinvigorating the sonic possibilities of your collection.

A Ramper is a device that creates motion on your expression-enabled devices. You choose point A, point B, and the way it moves between. It's utilitarian, but opens up a number of sounds from your existing pedals.

The Expression Ramper X3's allows you to set the shape of the LFO (the thing that determines the expression motion). There are three standard shapes (Triangle, Square and One Shot), and three random variations of those shapes. To access the alternative shapes, simply hold down the tap button while switching the Shape toggle.

Triangle, for a linear motion between A and B, starting and ending at A and hitting B at halfway on the LFO cycle.

Alternate shape: repeatedly moves to a random spot between A and B in a linear fashion.

Square, to snap between A and B, spending half of the LFO cycle in each position.

Alternate shape: immediately moves to a new random spot between A and B at the start of each cycle.

1 SHOT, to move linearly either from A to B or B to A (depending on the starting point) and then stop.

Alternate shape: each press of the footswitch snaps to a new random spot between A and B.

The device's Footswitches set things in motion. A stomp of the footswitches will initiate motion according to the shape and LFO speed you've set, and another stomp will stop that motion. By holding a footswitch, you can momentarily stop or start the movement, and then revert to where you were before when that footswitch is let go. Most of the time, when not in motion, a Ramper will be in the A position, unless using one of the 1 Shot modes or currently setting the B position. To know where your Ramper is, use your ears as an auditory guide and the two LEDs as a visual guide.

Expression Ramper X3 is more than three Rampers in one box, there are a plethora of additional controls to tempo sync multiple Rampers.

The SYNC toggles on Rampers II and III determine whether they are synced to Ramper I. ALL syncs everything about the Ramper: the output of the completely synced Ramper will match Ramper I's output exactly. RATE syncs only the rate of the Ramper: A, B, Shape, and motion settings stay independent, but the rate is tempo synced. In this setting, changing the Rate knob assigns subdivisions: 1/4, 1/2, 1x, 2x, 3x, and 4x speeds are all available. OFF deactivates any syncing, so the Ramper can act fully independently.

Ramper I (the green one) has a TAP button. This can be used to tap in the desired LFO speed. It begins syncing at two taps, but multiple taps in a row at similar BPMs will average out to increase accuracy. Note: the slowest possible tap tempo is 30 BPM, so taps outside of this range will be disregarded.

Ramper I also has external control via the jack. It can be used in three different ways, configurable via the internal dipswitch. It can be configured for TRS Expression input, External Tap Tempo with a footswitch, like our 'Scooch' Tap Tempo device using a TS cable and tap away. Or for External Tap Tempo using a pulse, turn 1 off, 2 off, 3 off. This is optimized to sync tempo across two ERX3s by plugging into the second ERX3's Tap Out jack, but will also work with other external pulse sources.

There is also a TAP OUT jack on the side of Triple Ramper. This continually outputs 3.3V pulses based on Ramper 1's tempo. In this way, you can sync external units (like another Expression Ramper X3) to Ramper 1.

Global Controls


Space Knob: Space adds a delightfully charming reverb to your affected signal. Use this knob to modify the mix and decay of the reverb. Go from smaller room sounds to a huge, diffused ambient reverb at maximum settings. It's lush and complimentary, and adding it in with the other effects will put you squarely in dreamscape territory.


Tone Knob: The Tone parameter controls the cutoff of a synth-style resonant low pass filter, allowing you to shape the tone of the effect output.


Series and Parallel: In series, effects will feed into each other in the order of Chorus > Delay > Grain > Output.


In parallel, all of the effect outputs on Chorus, Delay, and Grain are summed together and do not feed into each other. The top row of knobs will act as level controls, and the user can control the level of each effect.


The Mix/Dry parameter controls the mix of wet and dry signal in series mode and dry level in parallel mode.

Grain Controls


The featured Grain effect features two 'flavours' of operation:


Grain Cloud: This mode triggers small samples (grains) randomly from your playing, which gives you unpredictable, yet charming glitchy texture for your sound. The X knob controls the length of time between grains, so you can go from dense clusters to sparse accents.


Phrase Sample: This mode triggers grains rhythmically from your playing. Initial peaks in your playing are detected and grains are played back starting at these peaks, creating a rhythmic and intentional effect. The EHX 8-Step Program Analog Expression/CV Sequencer connects to another device and delivers sequencer control over parameters that respond to expression pedals or CV generators like oscillators, filters, delay parameters, you name it. NOTE: Compatible expression inputs must accept a voltage source as the controlling signal.
