Bongo Joe has put together a fine second volume of its Maghreb K7 Club: Disco Singles series here with Hanini and Rachid Baba Ahmed both appearing. Hanini's first is 'Allaoui', a brilliantly ass-wiggling rhythm with organic flutes, shuffling percussion and catchy rhythms that are drenched in the warmest sun and alive with whistles. Then comes 'Mel'ha Marghbouna' which is a vocal vibe with hints of Chic's funky disco and expressive rhymes. On the flip is Rachid Baba Ahmed's 'House Rai Music' which is a raw and full of coarse hits and jumbled percussive beats.
