Gamut Repetitor is a four-channel random quantized voltage generator with looping, range, key, and scale settings. It features a built-in quantizer with 27 scales grouped across a selection of three CV-controllable switches, so it's easy and fun to generate patterns you'll love. The trigger outputs can simply pass through the input trigger or they can generate random triggers for more modular merrymaking.
Patching GR is as simple as sending in a trigger pattern and turning Length up. Then you can use the built-in quantizer, key, and range controls to change the way voltages are generated. Once you hear something you like, turn the Length down to a sequence length you like (up to 32) and loop away!

Notes: Gross, gritty, and dark industrial-strength voice on a swappable oscillator platform. Pangolin approved.
Manis Iteritas Alia is a voice based on the architecture of Basimilus. It was designed to be grittier and more aggressive by using only sawtooth waves that are manipulated, modulated, and distorted through a rethought interface. Manis Iteritas Alia is fantastic for leads, basslines, drums, darkness, detuned swarminess, or pure mayhem. Plus, MIA's dedicated envelope output is a great modulation source for the rest of your patch.
MIA is available on Noise Engineering's 10HP Alia oscillator platform. Buy an Alia module and use the included USB cable to connect to the Noise Engineering Customer Portal to check out any other Alia firmware, free of charge, any time.
A portion of the proceeds of every Manis Iteritas Alia sold goes to pangolin conservation.
Chainable 8-output MIDI to CV converter and USB MIDI interface module - 6HP.
Notes: Describing Univer Inter as merely a MIDI-to-CV module falls short of its immense potential. It serves as an all-encompassing MIDI-to-any-format converter, elegantly packed into a compact 6 HP unit. Connect to your gear via USB B or TRS MIDI, or use the included adapter to plug straight into those 5-pin DIN connecters we all know and love. Whether you're looking to map clock, note, CC, aftertouch or something else that MIDI can encode, UI can do it: we built in over 20 settings for each of the 8 outputs.
Want to control a pair of monophonic voices, complete with velocity and aftertouch? No problem. How about a polyphonic setup, with gate and pitch per voice? Easy. Need to synchronize an in-the-rack sequencer with your DAW or a MIDI clock? UI has you covered.
Eight outputs isn't enough, you say? Chain two UI together via their front-panel MIDI ports and a TRS cable for 16 - you read that right, 16 - configurable CV outputs from a single MIDI connection. The possibilities are endless.
Noise Engineering also made configuration simple via the front-panel USB connection and the easy-to-use Univer Inter section on the Noise Engineering Customer Portal. Go wild and set each channel to any output option you need, or just use one of our simple presets. Configuration files can also be saved as sysex files for easy backup and sharing.

Quad-channel attenuverter/attenuator and offset with faders
Notes: Performance-focussed four-channel attenuverter and offset module, with built-in voltage generator for 0-5v or i5v voltages. Simple but effective.
Supplier's Notes:
Lapsus Os is a four channel attenuator/attenuverter and offset. Designed with performance in mind, each channel can be set to either attenuate or attenuate/invert an incoming signal, adjust offset of an incoming signal, or with nothing patched to its input, generate a 0-5v or i5v offset. Switches on the back of the module invert the fader behavior, allowing for the module to be mounted in either direction, for further customization and ease of use.
Etymology
Lapsus -- from latin lapsus : 'sliding' Os -- from latin os 'bones'
"Translation: Dancing Corpse"
Interface
Faders 1-4: The main controls of LO. The LEDs in the faders show the CV that is being passed through. When in attenuverter mode, the LED will be off at 0, allowing each fader to easily be set near 0.
Offset inputs 1-4 (+): Sending a signal to these inputs adds an offset to the input, controlled by the fader and the mode switch.
Outputs: Each channel has a pair of identical outputs. If nothing is sent to either input of a channel, an offset will be generated and output here, useful for controlling parameters on other modules with a single fader.
Uni/Bi Switches 1-4: In the Unipolar position (left), the corresponding channel attenuates the input signal. In the Bipolar position (right), the upper half of the corresponding channel fader attenuates the input signal, the lower half of the fader inverts and attenuates the signal.
Attenuating/attenuverting inputs 1-4 (x): Sending a signal to these inputs attenuates/attenuverts the signal, depending on the position of the channel fader and switch.
Rear-board switches: Below, in red. Inverts the corresponding channel, allowing for creative mounting in either direction. Note that each channel must be switched independently to fully reverse the functionality.
Patch Tutorial
Patch 1: Set a channel switch to the left position and patch the outputs to CV inputs on another module (for instance, Loquelic Iteritas). The fader becomes an easy-to-use controller for those parameters. Patch the rest of the LO channels to other parameters in your system to create an expressive and intuitive interface.
Patch 2: Patch a CV signal (such as an LFO) into the attenuverting input of a channel. Set the channel switch to the right position, and patch the output to a bipolar CV input in your system. Tweak the fader to attenuvert and dial in the perfect amount of modulation on the fly.
Patch 3: In a case with four voices route each LO channel to the decay control for each voice. Use for centralized control over voicing.

Notes: Universal drum synthesizer with roots in the analogue world on a swappable oscillator platform
Basimilus Iteritas Alia is a parameterized digital drum voice with its roots in the analogue world. At its heart, the BIA is a simple six-oscillator additive and FM synthesizer with waveform, harmonic spread, and envelope controls. An adjustable noise oscillator and an extreme take on a wavefolder round out its synthesis abilities. Its straightforward controls make sound design fun and performable: create sub-shaking kicks, snares, hats, and unique drum hits with just a few tweaks.
BIA is a classic percussion module but you'll be blown away by how much more it can do. Use it for leads, basslines, or build a whole drum kit with some external CV. Plus, the envelope output means you can use the BIA for shaping and modulating other parts of your patch.

Notes: KR is based off of the concept of a guitar tonestack: you get a gnarly drive on the top and a super clean two-band shelving EQ with switchable midpoint after that. There are separate ins and outs, too, so if you want to EQ a thing and distort the other thing at the same time you can!
Kith Ruina's inspiration comes from the world of guitar amps. A drive into an EQ is an extremely common configuration for shaping guitar tone, and we find that it works extremely well for synths as well. A grungy drive into a pristine EQ gives excellent tone control, and with separate ins and outs for the two sections KR can be configured to fit into any patch you throw at it.
Three pedal-inspired analogue distortion circuits in series. Patch in and out at will.
Notes: Terci Ruina combines three classic distortions in 4 hp. Distortions are reinterpreted in classic NE style and routed through each other for complete sonic annihilation of any sound. Patch in and out anywhere in the signal chain to pick the best sound for your purpose (because modular). Looking for a pretty distortion? This is probably not your module. Unapologetically gross and dirty.
4-channel polyphonic-inspired envelope generator module with ADSR, tremelo and Percido-style envelopes - 10HP.
Notes: Quantus Trajecta is a quad envelope designed with polyphony in mind. Quantus Trajecta's envelope structure takes the functionality from Noise Engineering's beloved Loquelic and Cursus Iteritas Percido modules, and adds even more control and mode options like Tremolo and ADSR.
Each parameter is CV controllable, and each control universally adjusts all four envelopes for easy polyphonic tracking. Quantus Trajecta is performable, musical, and most importantly, fun.
Notes: 8-input, 8-output sequential/addressable switch with manual, trigger, and CV control, plus three grouping options, multiple switching directions, and randomization.
Vice Virga is an 8-input, 8-output sequential/addressable switch with a plethora of features and extensive patchability. Vice Virga can be configured as a single 8-channel switch, two 4-channel switches, or four 2-channel switches. Equal parts automated patch arranger and performance tool, Vice Virga has loads of switching control options. Notes: Proper creative stuff with this one. Lush, characterful stereo reverb with CV control, distortion, pitchshifting, a freeze button and more. Oh, and it's got user-customisable DSP firmware for good measure.
Supplier's Notes:
Desmodus Versio is Noise Engineering's take on a synthetic-tail generator reverb. In only 10hp, it features true stereo in and out, seven CV-controlled parameters, and three reverb modes. Desmodus Versio's feedback control sets the length of reverberation, from short echoes through infinite regenerations.
At its max, the reverb ducks when it receives input, useful for creating sidechain ducking and atmospheres for percussion. The different reverb modes offer even more sound options with clean, distorted, and pitch-shifting shimmer settings. The FSU button acts as a freeze and also creates some noise to stimulate the reverb when there is no external input.
Desmodus Versio isn't just a reverb, though: it's a DSP platform. Its firmware can be changed via USB, so users can load future firmwares onto it or develop their own with upcoming open-source support.
With Desmodus Versio, Noise Engineering continues their tradition of supporting conservation:a portion of proceeds from every Desmodus Versio sold goes to Bat Conservation International. Find out why bats are not only cool but also an important part of our ecosystem at Bat Conservation International's website, batcon.org.
Compressor, expander, limiter, saturator, and more: put Librae at the end of your chain and listen to the magic
Notes: Librae Legio is a dynamics processor designed to take a whole patch to the next level. Compression, expansion, limiting, noise gating, and two styles of gentle distortion: Librae is the perfect tool to bring your mix together. And while it can do extreme limiting and really squash your sounds together, Noise Engineering developed it with transparency in mind - whether you want to hard-limit your techno mix or gently bring the sounds in your ambient patch together, Librae is the end-of-chain dynamics processor you've been looking for.
The perfect oscillator for lovers of all things drone; multi-operator phase-modulation synthesis with three different tri- or quad-oscillator algorithms
Notes: Multi-operator phase-modulation platform oscillator ideal for lovers of drone
Toros Iteritas Alia is a multi-operator, three-algorithm phase-modulation oscillator. Taking inspiration from Nosie Engineering's favourite things about FM synthesizers and doing away with complicated interfaces and mysterious controls, Toros prioritizes immediacy and, of course, epic sounds.
The unique Blendex controls allow the user to route each oscillator to be a PM for the next oscillator in the algorithm or direct to the output. Fine-tune the output for your needs with the frequency controls that constrain the range to span a minor third, an octave, or two octaves. Dial in and morph between anything from dark and noisy to tonal to sub-shaking sounds with ease with the completely CV-able interface.
Designed with drones in mind, Toros is the perfect tool for long, evolving textures and dark drones - or big, clangorous tones if that suits your patch better.
Toros Iteritas Alia is available on Noise Engineering's 10HP Alia oscillator platform. Buy an Alia module and use the included USB cable to connect to the Firmware Swap app and check out any other Alia firmware, free of charge, any time. More info can be found on the World of Alia page here.

A rhythm crossfader and mute utility with CV-controllable crossfader and three Curve algorithms
Notes: Four-part probabilistic rhythm crossfader
Confundo Funkidos is a rhythm crossfader and mute utility. Patch two pairs of rhythms to the left and right inputs, then use the CV-controllable crossfader and three Curve algorithms to fade between them and combine them in different ways. Each channel has a mute switch which can be used to bring a voice in and out of a patch at will. Tap the Burn button for some instant fills, and your percussion performances will never be the same.
New to the second version is the addition of four Accent outputs. Accent patterns are generatively created using the rhythms at the inputs, adding a new, dynamic dimension to even the simplest of trigger sequences. The Accent jacks output high or low gates, which can be used with dedicated percussion modules or as modulation sources in a patch.
The Burn functionality has also been expanded, with the addition of a potentiometer for more versatile and hands-on fill creation. Even the Mute switches have been expanded with three positions: each channel can output triggers but not receive Burn fills or output accents when set to the middle position.
If you want to liven up your percussion system with a completely unique and hands-on utility, Confundo Funkidos brings modular performance to a whole new level.

Each of Sinc Pravus's four channels are controlled by a dedicated potentiometer with an LED for monitoring signal outputs. The input jacks are normalled from top to bottom so it can offset the same signal by different amounts or simply act as a mult.
Stereo resonant multimode filter module with wavefolding, 1v/8va tracking and gateable bypass in 6HP.
Notes: Roucha Legio is a 12 dB /octave state-variable stereo multimode filter available on the Legio DSP+oscillator platform.
Noise Engineering received tons of requests for NE filters over the years, and Roucha Legio is their first dedicated release. The filter features lowpass, bandpass, and highpass settings and tracks frequency via the dedicated encoder and extremely accurate 1v/8va CV input. Roucha Legio's CV-controlled resonance parameter can go from clean to acidy-squelchy for bassline joy. Add CV for filter sweeps that will knock your socks off. Of course, because it's a Noise Engineering module, there's a Fold knob. Add wavefolding to the signal chain before, after, or both before and after the filter.
Noise Engineering have made it easy to carry out dramatic buildups and cuts with Roucha Legio. Just tap the encoder to bypass; tap again to turn the filter on again. Want to automate it? Send a gate into the Bypass input. The filter will remain bypassed as long as a high gate is present.
Roucha Legio is also a DSP and oscillator platform: users can change the firmware on any Legio module, 100% free, to any other firmware in the Legio series.

Notes: Alia is a 10HP oscillator platform much like the Versio and Legio platforms. Launched in 2023 with a reboot of the beloved Basimilus Iteritas and Manis Iteritas, along with a new oscillator, Debel Iteritas, Noise Engineering is back with three more firmwares for the platform.
Separate hardware is available for each module, and a customer with any Alia module can try any firmware for free by going to the Noise Engineering Customer Portal and connecting with the included USB cable.
Ataraxic Iteritas Alia
Proudly digital oscillator inspired by the last millennium on a swappable oscillator platform
Ataraxic Iteritas Alia is a voltage-controlled and proudly digital oscillator based roughly on the original Ataraxic Translatron. Now brought to the Alia platform and beefed up with a suboscillator and performable hold button, it's back and ready to make some killer basslines or glitchy madness. Sound starts with waveshaped bit tables that are amplitude modulated, folded, and distorted by the CV-controllable front panel controls. Ataraxic is ripe for sound design and exploration: a wide range of bright, digital timbres are readily available, and tuning below audio rates creates wonderfully unexpected textures. Guaranteed to make the fax machine jealous.
AIA is available on our 10HP Alia oscillator platform. Buy an Alia module and use the included USB cable to connect to the Noise Engineering Customer Portal and check out any other Alia firmware, free of charge, any time.
Notes: Hybrid additive phase-modulation voice on a swappable oscillator platform
Debel Iteritas Alia is a hybrid additive phase-modulation voice inspired by classic and experimental synth sounds from across the decades. Three synthesis algorithms range from classic FM plucks and basses to all-out additive anarchy.
