Review: Rindert Lammers' debut LP is a kaleidoscopic suite in five movements; pelican wingspans of twinkly, retentive but then also generous jazztronica, centring on two distinct themes: Japanese cinema and YouTube confessions. Japanese culture is seen through a grateful lens, as theatrical titans such as Kirin Kiki are homaged; the B1 especially is inspired by a poignant moment in the actor's portrayal of Hatsue Shibata in the 2018 film Shoplifters. Seemingly firstly inconsequential digital traces are lent an upscale gravitas, meanwhile, as a voice clip from a YouTube comment on an algorithmically boosted Hiroshi Yoshimura video evolves into the ride-embellished upswell 'Thank You Hiroshi Yoshimura'. Mastering the art of appreciation from afar, Lammers brings a mood of gobsmacked reverence for Japanese enviro jazz and its offshoots, suspending us over an endless realm of forms circa 1989.

Review: Three years ago, Giuseppe Tillieci and Filippo Scorcucchi joined forces as LF58 for a debut EP of blissful ambient epics on Auxiliary that arguably didn't get the coverage its quality deserved. We have a sneaking feeling that the pair's debut album, which lands on the fantastic Astral Industries imprint, won't go unnoticed. For starters, it's brilliant, with the four lengthy tracks seeing them drift between Global Communication/Irresistible Force style melodic positivity (the hazy effects, huggable pads and echoing melodies of "Iniziazione"), ultra-deep, psychedelic dub techno ("Rituale", where simple melodic refrains wind in and out of sparse but hypnotic beats), swelling tropical ambient warmth with added deep space effects ("Metamorfosi") and the kind of languid, slow-motion fare that sits somewhere between Pete Namlook and Spacetime Continuum (side D suite "Evocazione/Contatto/Risveglio").

It's music for dusk, dawn, and toxin-addled minds that require soothing sounds and immersive sonic textures.

Review: Robert Lippok's release momentum has been as sparse and airy as his music, but we still very much consider him to be on our A-list in terms of gifted producers. He has paved the way for many contemporary like-minded experimentalists, and this reissue of Open Close Open on Raum is a delightful, clear-vinyl throwback of the 2001 original that was out on Raster-Noton. "Open" is a glitchy, shape-shifting bop of subtle bleeps and distorted air, while "Close" is more orchestral in shape and mood thanks to its disparate bird calls and placid pads. The second chapter of "Open" is, once again, a delightfully glitchy piece of minimalism, and "+" drops a fine layer of dubby tones alongside screeching sonics. Highly recommended.

Review: Here we have the remastered edition of Robert Lippok's Open Close Open. Originally released in 2001 on the well-respected German glitch ambient label Raster Noton, the release has built a strong buzz about it. Late last year, the decision was to remaster the EP to the delight of the fans. The first 'Open' is very minimal with a very sparse beat to it. Glitch ambient and the cuts and click style of that period is wonderfully represented by this sound. To most fans of the release, 'Close' is the reason for the buzz. The combination of field recordings, glitch and a beautiful almost movie like soundtrack to it, makes this piece one of the most beautiful ambient pieces in the genre of glitch ambient. Hearing this remastered, really brings out the beauty even more so. This new version also features the very worthy piece 'Licht' to close out the release. It is very fitting that the amazing Morr Music honor this piece by releasing it.

Review: Lo Escucho Lo Pinto translates into English as I Hear It I Paint It. It's a clever name for this record, once you know the full back story. The work is a collaborative effort on the part of Lithuania-based musician Sholto Dobie and KYE affiliate Glorias Navales. It was made in Chile last year, or at least recorded there, and takes the form of unannounced live public performances, captured on disc. Audiences were not told nor were expecting two artists to take up instruments and serenade them, but it's hard to imagine anyone complaining.

Perhaps more appropriate phrasing might be I See It I Play It, but it doesn't take much thinking to understand where the pair were coming from with the title. Improvised meditative guitar-focused folk that could almost go unnoticed amid the mess and mayhem of an outdoor metropolitan setting, once you're tuned in it seems to command every ounce of your concentration and proves inescapably compelling. Remarkable and beautiful, not to mention irreplaceable - much like the life we walk past every day.

Review: Thanks to its odd name, the hurdy gurdy might often be the butt of the musical dad joke. Perhaps as a result, only a band like Local Psycho could ever save its reputation among electronic music lovers. The instrument is actually pretty neat, an ornate heavyweight string instrument of ancient origin that produces beautiful, dark-humoured drone sounds. The duo in question - Jem Ferner (The Pogues) and Jimmy Cauty (The KLF) - are certainly apt to toy around with one, given that most of the only other examples of such knowing Hurdy Gurdy use come in LP form, without acoutrement or embellishment, and played by long-haired hippie dudes. Quite the contrary here: 'Gurdy Song' is a Celtic drum & bass via industrial breaks opus, with massive breakdowns on both the original and Back To The 90 Mix, and only the B2 channelling the endless chillout reality-tunnels accessible via the instrument alone.

Review: Outlier experimental label Eating Music brings back more for us to chew on here in the form of a varied four tracker from various artists. It is Mindexxx that opens with 'Track 1' which layers up snaking synths and deeply buried dark bass that grows in intensity and washes over you like a Tsunami. Laughing Ears then cuts back to a tender mood with soft piano chords and slowly unfolding rhythms that are warm and lithe. Gooooose's 'The Dusk Of Digital Age' is a churchy affair with textured drones shot through with beams of synth light and Knopha's 'Off-Peak Season Tourists' layers up choral vocals and jumbled drum sounds into something hypnotic and escapist.

With a military history dating back to the 16th century, it is also the most bombed city in the Netherlands and was nearly destroyed during World War II. The Third of May was written and recorded in 2020 over six days in an old pumping station located in the dunes of Huisduinen near Den Helder. The story behind the album is set in this historic city, weaving its tumultuous past into a vivid, imagined narrative inspired by the area's rich and tragic history. It's as much of an emotional rollercoaster as you would expect given the concept.

Their combined sound is a dense and complex one, moving like a cohesive whole but defined by infinitesimal details and qualities. From the broad sweeps of drone to the stuttering shards of processed voice, intricate orchestrations to glassy found sounds, Sirens is like being enveloped by mist and then surprised by the objects which you encounter while your senses are temporarily stunted. It's a highly prized piece of modern minimal music, and this new pressing isn't likely to hang around for long.

Jessica Ekomane - "Manifolds" (17:16)
Laurel Halo - "Octavia" (21:05)
Review: Two artists split a double-A single, exploring both sounds and their structure in their own unique ways. 'Manifolds' sees Jessica Ekomane dive so far into polyphonic writing processes she reaches 'multiphonic', with different sonic voices, sources and timbres no longer on parallel trajectories, but eventually splicing into something closer to a human chant than most ritualistic tunes we're heard in a while. The effect is staggering. Laurel Halo then presents 'Octavia', which is best described as a kind of collage of beautiful harmonisation, a series of melodic motifs and textures that form small wholes, dissipate, reappear, merge, are all aurally connected but never combined. Highly technical stuff on the part of both producers, the coherency between the two is impossible to miss, making for a unique but coherent ambient-drone gem.

Review: Prolific collaborator Lawrence English links up with accomplished electro-acoustic virtuoso Lea Bertucci on this new album for American Dreams. Bertucci's primary focus as a player is on alto sax and clarinet, but in the context of this record her playing folds into the quivering, slow-shifting plates of sound. It's simultaneously steely and synthetic, and yet charged with an ancient, elemental spirit which will keep you on tenterhooks throughout. It's certainly not a one-dimensional kind of ambience but a monolithic, complicated thing that will hold you attention with ease. Don't miss out on the stunning sleeve photography either, which is worth the price of admission alone.

Review: The Geins't Nait trio continue to wreak havoc on our charts and disorder in our minds, coming through with a new LP for the excellent Offen Music, home to the likes of Rex Ilusivii, Toresch and Ivan Smagghe's collaboration with Rupert Cross. Make Dogs Sing is an album of euphoria and mystique, offering 13 tracks of ethereal beauty, ranging from the very moody to the unscrupulously wide-eyed. There is a gentle movement amid the drones, however, with scrappy analogue beats weaving their way into a cauldron of cavernous dread, such as "Ciseaux Daddy", a fine piece of electronic tweaking that flows beautifully into the likes of "China" and "Discord", all equally mesmerizing pools of beats and sonic performed with nothing but heart and soul. This is a stand-out for us, and it will surely be an album that stands the test of time. TIP!

For those who don't recognise the musicians involved, Kim Gordon is an icon of discordant, white noise-y rock 'n' roll, best known as a member of Sonic Youth - one of the most iconic guitar acts to emerge in the 1980s.

That might be a red herring in this context, though, because at the New York address in question Gordon was joined by legendary blues minimalist maestro, Loren Connors. The result is a hybrid work that's patient, sophisticated, utterly mesmerising and - for want of a better, less fawning word - close to perfection. Profoundly moving, and masterfully arranged, we guarantee this is one for the lifetime honours list.

Review: Whitney Johnson and Lia Kohl's debut album has evolved over several years. Its roots lay in their shared practice of free improvisation on viola and cello and flourished into a unique neophonic orchestral expression. That makes For Translucence both stimulating and soothing - a very alive form of musical meditation where layers of acoustic strings, wispy synths, evocative field recordings and radio and sine waves intertwine and grow while mesmerising you even more. Though always moving and shapeshifting the effect is cathartic as a fine balance is struck between experimentation and cohesion and the organic and the electronic.

Review: Blurring the boundary between music and meditation, La Monte Young and Marian Zazeela's 31 VII 69 10:26-10:49 PM/23 VIII 64 2:50:45-3:11 AM: The Volga Delta is not only a bold deviator when it comes to the usually rather conservative practice of album-naming, but it's also a cherished classic in early drone music. They're among the genre's first ever pioneers, with this album preceding the moment when metalheads clocked onto drone and fused it with rock. Instead, this was music intended for New York-backstreet art shows and sculpture fairs, in which listeners were invited to sit and listen for days at a time. A radical exercise in endurance, it made Young and Zazeela key figures in the minimalist movement of the 1960s-70s, and was noted for its unique fusion of indian ragas with pure sine tones.

Review: Braulio Lam's latest record is a unique outing, spanning pensive ambient dub and trip-hop moods, and cherrying them with an added visual element in the form of a photography insert. Born on the border region of San Diego and Tijuana, Lam's repertoire works in an expressly brooding sound that threshes its inspirations from the close but separate apposition of these two cities. The sense of a polemic being is a central theme of Lam's work; this is not only evident in his practice, which drifts back and forth between music production and photography, but also in the sonic content of Close Up itself, which drifts between depth-scouring electronica and Pacific folk in quick step, revealing them to be dialectically adjoined. Our favourites here have to be 'Buena Vista Social Dub', a crystalline immersion in dub and vocal etherics, and 'Mirror', and 'Monika', which lends a seething tape hue to a slowly moving slice of Latin blues.

He has plenty of accolades for his work from a niche audience for his productions under the alias Negative Neutron but for years wanted to pursue a more dark ambient route. Finally, he has made time to indulge his own music-making endeavours and now presents Hypatia, an album that materialised over an extended period. It features field recordings and audio loops processed through his modular setup and takes inspiration from Marco Polo's imaginary cities and rather mirrors Dunkerley's creative journey as it evokes memories of cold, distant places and the emotions they stir.

Review: Since the release of Laraaji's fine career retrospective, Celestial Music 1978-2011, in 2013, there's been renewed interest in the work of the autoharp-playing ambient spirtualist. It's perhaps surprising, then, that it has taken this long for someone to reissue his Vision Songs Volume 1, the former Brian Eno collaborator's first self-released cassette album. In many ways, it's atypical of his work, featuring as it does "devotional and inspirational songs", rather than new age instrumentals. It was recorded in 1984 and sees the one-time actor combining lo-fi Casio synthesizer chords and melodies with his own soulful, life-affirming lyrics and copious amounts of tape delay. It remains a fine work, with the constant warmth of original tape his offering a reminder of the set's decidedly lo-fi roots.

Nevertheless, Laraaji is considered one of the true godfathers of ambient, having been there way, way back in the early 1980s, releasing on Brian Eno's Day of Radiance imprint and gracing us with an inordinately good back catalogue since then. The point being that Kramer, like almost everyone stepping into this space in the past 40 years, has certainly learnt something from that living legend. At least some of that is put to excellent use on this collaborative joy, which uses three distinct movements to draw us deep into a simple yet compelling sonic odyssey.

The one-off collaboration between new age musician Jonathan "Lyghte" Goldman and cult ambient artist Laraaji was originally only released on cassette. As Laraaji's reputation has rocketed in recent years, demand for the hard-to-find tape has risen - hence this first vinyl reissue. It comprises two long, fluid and laidback compositions built around slowly shifting ambient chords, delay-laden zither textures, subtle bell melodies, occasional guitar solos and meandering synthesizer lines. Both tracks are wonderfully blissful and calming, suggesting that they're best listened to while lying flat on your back.

Sun Araw feels like exactly the right artist to scout for a new collaboration in 2016, and the two fit together like hand in glove on this two-tracker for W.25th, a new offshoot of the excellent Superior Viaduct. "Liepgzig (Part 1)" is a deep, liquid-like abstraction that covers many styles and ideas, bringing forth several different elements like harps and sporadic synth bleeps - a truly cinematic experience; "Part 2" of the same tune develops a beat among its arrangement, one that doesn't stop the track from losing any of its waywardness. The first segment of "Lausanne" is more spiritual, like some sort of ritual to the Gods, while the second veers head-first into a pool of bric-a-brac percussion with an Eastern tint. Excellent and wholeheartedly recommended.

Review: n5MD is an independent record label based in Oakland, California. The label primarily focused on electronic music, but also now releases music in compatible genres such as shoegaze, post-rock, IDM and electro-acoustic. Last Days debut, 'Sea' told the story of one man's journey. Now with his fifth album, Graham Richardson returns to the sea to examine a range of nautical vocations and exploits. Said to be inspired by shipping routes, Ernest Shackleton's ill-fated voyage on the Endurance, to families being disjointed and reunited; the Seafaring LP goes some way to hint at what the oceans present to us. It reflects on it's subject matter by coherently linking moments that are minimal and still, to those that are compelling and cinematic and will be the first Last Days album pressed on vinyl.

Review: This is what happens when acclaimed Los Angeline harpist Mary Lattimore enlists Slowdive's Neil Halstead fo production duties. A lush, and liquid listening experience that is as graceful as it is confident, blurring the lines between classical and ambient in a way that seems to echo centuries of traditional, almost Medieval tones and contemporary electronic adventures alike.

Lattimore's work has previously been described in terms of 'dreamscapes', and few have been painted more vividly than Silver Ladders. These are deep dive arrangements that expand and contract like breathing, allowing the artist's signature instrument to shine while submerging it in swells of refrain. Movement is constant, and yet the record feels mill pond still. Hardly par for the course, even in the fertile sonic ground she works in. Step inside and prepare to be captivated.

To keep us fans sated the Los Angeles-based harpist is now back with a counterpart release, Collected Pieces: 2015-2020, which brings together some of her best bits from that five year period. It is a limited edition record that also includes some new and unreleased bits, singles that have only been on Bandcamp before now and some other obscurities from 2017's sister LP, Collected Pieces. It is a heavenly selection with contact mics and pedals the only accompaniment to Lattinmore's Lyon and Healy Concert Grand Harp.

Review: Mary Lattimore's standing as one of the foremost harpists in active service is without doubt at this stage, but even by her considerable reputation this record is a standout moment in a glittering career. Over the course of two years, the dedicated improviser committed herself to focused sessions and collaborated with an impressive cast of characters from The Cure's Lol Tolhurst to Slowdive's Rachel Goswell. The over-arching theme is one of the inescapable nature of change, as crystallised in the crumbling Croatian hotel Lattimore references in the album title. It goes without saying the musical results are achingly beautiful, nuanced and fathoms deep.

Review: Mary Lattimore is one of the foremost harpists of her generation, a status duly restored with the release of her latest LP, Goodbye, Hotel Arkada. Named after a hotel in Croatia about which Lattimore recalls many blissful holiday memories, the LP laments the oncoming threat of loss, as Arkada now faces plans to be renovated. Through this immediate story, a wider picture of collective mourning is painted - the album is a collaborative affair, enlisting the many famous faces of shoegaze, folk and goth stardom, namely the likes of The Cure's Lol Tolhurst, Rachel Goswell and Meg Baird - producing a sound that is as eerie as it is serene.

Review: It's clearly a Scandinavian thing, as Finland's Lau Nau and Sweden's Matti Bye team up to bring us a work of refined, minimalistic beauty - contemporary classical that speaks directly to the heart and soul, even if it often chooses to use sparse words. Ever elegant, it impresses from beginning to end and isn't shy of trying to surprise us, hence the arpeggiated refrains of 'Le Premiere Jour Dans L Lune'; the loudest thing here and in many ways sonic centrepiece of the whole album. Elsewhere things are softer and more reserved, but no less accomplished. 'Earth Shadow' is darker, or at least more introverted, while 'Cloud Circles' somehow comes across as both desolate and inviting, and the twinkling keys and chimes of 'Ile Disparu' present another high point of subtle intensity, an overture that only fully reveals itself once you are neck-deep in its power.

Review: In 2018, Laurel Halo recorded her first soundtrack score, a ghostly and intoxicating suite of tracks created for an experimental Dutch documentary about surveillance and social media called "Possessed". Here that music gets a deserved vinyl release courtesy of Vinyl Factory. It's an alluring set of tracks that sees Halo cannily combine radio static and distance electronics with ambient tones, beautiful piano meditations, folksy compositions, found sound and superb violin and cello parts provided by guest musicians Galya Bisengalieva and Oliver Coates. Throughout, Halo's superb compositions sit somewhere between breathtaking beauty, soundscape paranoia and bittersweet escapism.

Review: Die Mariengrotte als Trinkwasseraufbereitungsanlage (translated as The Mother Mary Grotto as a Drinking Water Treatment Plant) is a second solo long-player from Lauten der Seele this year. It is the alias of a prolific German musician Christian Schoppik, who enjoyed plenty of rightful acclaim after his debut at the start of 2022. This record again mixes up sample collages, recorded instrumentals and long-evolving narratives that tightly intertwine as the music unfolds. It makes for a mystic, dreamy listen that is as soothing as it is contemplative.

Review: Christian Schoppik sure has been busy these last two years. Lauten Der Seele is a third album in that time and another beguiling sonic collage that mixes the organic and the synthetic, the beautiful with the bizarre. Apparently inspired by the artist's hazy memories of a hidden canyon in rural Bavaria, there is indeed a half-remembered and dream-like quality to these musical apparitions - distant, tape-damaged chords drift in and out, vocal inflections flicker then disappear, strings peek out from the haze and water droplets fall on your head. It's a cinematic and adventurous listen that reveals more and more each time.

Review: Christian Schoppik, aka Lauten der Seele, concludes his 'Water' trilogy with Die Reise zur Monsalwascheia profound exploration of spiritual journey and fulfillment. Following Die Mariengrotte als Trinkwasseraufbereitungsanlage (2022) and Ertrunken im seichtesten Gewasser (2023), this final chapter is a compelling odyssey from departure to salvation. While previous works leaned heavily on experimental soundscapes, this album shifts focus to classical influences, creating a more refined yet emotionally rich experience. Schoppik's expertise in blending samples and audio collages remains evident, but here it's woven into a more accessible and evocative narrative. The album's structure, from 'Decision, Farewell & Departure' to 'Losing Way, Arrival & Salvation,' show off Schoppik's growth as an artist, presenting a seamless conclusion to his trilogy. Die Reise zur Monsalwasche stands out as a testament to his evolving craft and emotional depth.

Review: A Strangely Isolated Place was responsible for releasing some of the most beguiling and magical music of 2016, including superb full-length excursions from 36 and Merrin Karras. Predictably, this full-length from regular collaborators Christopher 'Lav' Landin and Ludvig "Purl" Cimbrelius is rather good. It was inspired by a large number of field recordings Landin made while holidaying in Greece back in 2014, which Cimbrelius combined with his own pianos, beats and electronic textures. After some to-ing and fro-ing, they ended up with a set packed full of evocative ambient and electronica pieces that match melodies and chords to the gentle rhythms of nature.

Review: Dial Recordings co-head Peter Kersten, aka Lawrence, is no stranger to Mule Musiq. Birds On The Playground is in fact his 14th release for the label. Kersten wrote nine arrangements specifically for Toshiya Kawasaki's recently unveiled Studio Mule, an audiophile listening bar in Shibuya, Tokyo where the Hamburg native is said to have been 'slightly drunk' while enjoying the music. He wanted to bring this feeling of being 'tipsy' across in the album itself, composed on both acoustic and electronic instruments with the addition of field recordings captured in Berlin's Tiergarten. The result is a collection of contemplative downbeat journeys incorporating jazz, cosmic, ambient and japanese folk influences to wonderful effect.

Review: .Oh wow. Brussels-based Maloca label boss Le Motel has created something really beautiful here. Utilising musique concrete principles, and a renowned ear for pianos and contemporary classical, experimental electronica, ambient and the like, Odd Numbers / S? L? is an odyssey in all senses of the word. Made from time on roads less traveled and the people and places encountered en route, it also feels like an aural adventure in its own right. Catalysed by time spent in Vietnam, arriving into the sprawling colonial districts of Hanoi, then venturing out to Hmong communities in mountainous areas close to the Chinese border, those he met and engaged with have been directly involved in the final album here - making this a vast exercise in collaboration. Noisy kitchens, quiet fields, personal conversations, the laughter of a village square on a weekend morning, meet beats, bass, heavy future cuts, serenity, and bliss. 1000% yes.

Review: The third release for Alicia Carrera and Donato Dozzy's Maga Circe Musica is by Le Petit, a duo comprised of Dozzy and Milanese producer Stefano Ghittoni. The self-titled offering takes influence from balearic legend Daniele Baldelli's pioneering work, as well that of fellow northern Italian veteran Marco Dionigi - who together ran Pedivelle Records. The re-interpretation of their sounds here by Dozzy and Ghittoni seem fitting, as sonically it seems right in line with the former's distinct brand of tribal trance and could well have influenced the Sound Of Rome that he's synonymous with - particularly on tracks like 'Sukia' and 'Niente'. Add moments of glacial dub techno, downbeat electronica as well as immersive ambient soundscapes, and you have quite a varied EP overall.

Review: Here's something to get very excited about - a legendary musician in the avant garde world meeting, and not for the first time, one of the finest labels that dares to tread. New York composer Mary Jane Leach has been synonymous with experimental tones since she first pulled up a pew and began to play back in the 1970s. Soon taking her tones the world, this innate talent eventually led her to Manchester's Modern Love, an imprint several years her junior but launched with a similar purpose. Here joined by oboes, clarinets, and bassoons played by Manuel Zurria, Libby Van Cleve, Sam Dunscombe, and Shannon Peet, Woodwind Multiples is a jarringly to the point, it-is-what-it-is name for a record that feels so otherworldly. Steeped in moods, from the uneasy and tense to awakenings and new life, the result is something to behold.

Story has it that back in March 2020, The Leaf Library sent Kurihara some material to play with, in the hope that a collaboration would be born. He was indeed receptive, resulting firstly in the track 'Kite Beach' which was featured on the band's Objects Forever compilation in 2021, with the rest of the album slowly appearing over the next year that takes in drone, soundscapes, minimal techno and industrial noise throughout its eight tracks. The artists hope to continue the collaboration with another album in the near future.

Review: The solo project of Swedish musician Sofie Herner, Leda is an experimental project mainly dedicated to roomy, claustrophobic freakouts, fashioned out of a distinctive form of guitar playing, among other tinkerings. Now a well-known name in the Gothenburg scene, Herner's proximity to her local DIY underground is abundantly clear. It feels just as reflective in the sound of her latest project here, Neuter, which sounds like a gargantuan woodwork project subsuming a collective consciousness. Building off the natural footprints trailed by not only her former output, but also her involvement in bands like Neutral and Enhet For Fri Musik, this LP comprises nine tracks of minimal guitar loops, layered oppressively with doomy vocals, all-encompassing percussion, and other oddball instruments. Movements one through nine guide us through uniquely dour worlds, all with the utmost creep factor.

It is their debut release and it pays tribute to legendary Spurs footballer Ledley King by drawing on the atmospheric sounds of North European ambient music and layering in deep references to Tottenham, with tracks like 'Seven Sisters Road' and 'Lordship Lane.' The album explores the intersection of improv and football fandom while, we're told, expressing the themes of community, struggle and resilience. With intricate, evolving soundscapes, this is a profound meditation on football.

Last year he put out two full-lengths on London's Whities, firstly a live session Music For Screen Tests, and in 2019 his album Loom Dream. Here he lands on AD 93 with another meticulously well-crafted record which he says was formed during "an unconscious reconnection with music long since forgotten; an instinctive recall for melodies played out on guitar, low whistle and voice." It is typically deft, detailed, lush and elegant in the way it unfolds, and immediately draws you into its quiet but emotive artistry and keeps you there for the duration.
