Review: Second time around for German new-wave and wayward synth-pop outfit Camouflage's 1993 album Bodega Bohemia - a set that was initially only released in Germany due to conflict with the band's record label. It saw them pivot away from the sound of their previous album and back towards synthesisers and drum machines, with the trio reportedly wanting to make it "as electronic as possible". There are hints of mid-80s goth and New Romantic, though the influence of the turn-of-the-90s indie-dance sound made famous by the likes of the Stone Roses and New Order is much greater. This anniversary edition also boasts two additional discs: one (CD2) showcasing radio edits, B-sides and remixes from the period, and another (CD3) comprising demos, live recordings and unheard instrumental takes.
