Review: More quality grooves from Washington DC label specializing in reissuing obscure and unknown 70s and 80s dance music. This time around is Dreamcast who are Davon Bryant in conjunction with Swedish guy Sasac aka King Al. "Liquid Deep" is sexy late night deep funk the way it was always intended and Bryant's smooth as silk vocals are just like... Wow! So with Dreamcast on the vocals and Sasac on the beat, we are hoping there's more things on the way from this trans coastal duo in 2017.

Review: Stunning new Balearica business from Swedish synth seducer Sasac; bubbling and deliciously slow and low tempo, the big synth washes shimmer over a subtle but sedate bassline. The three remixes are tailored to suit all shades of your soiree; Eddie C ups the tempo and doubles the length while maintaining the twinkle factor with relentless arpeggios. Alex Israel subverts proceedings with mischievous acid wriggles and a loose, latent funk around the beats. Benedek, meanwhile, takes us on a G-soul trip through the finest shades of 80s with the ultimate seduction version. Godly.

Review: Take a dash of lounge, add huge dollops of cosmic, stir in generous helpings of Balearica and sprinkle with a whole pot of deep disco charm. Now bake in an oven of instrumentation for an hour. The result: this incredible extended EP from Swedish musician Sasac. Crisp, glossy and arranged with heaps of melodic attention to detail, this will resonate well with fans of anyone from Paqua to Bob James, Lindstrom to Slugabed. Truly beautiful.

Review: Brand new off-shoot of Swedish Balearic bible Fasaan, Chalice is a new stable dedicated to analogue authenticity and raw timeless grooves. This debut release acts as the perfect introduction; Sasac's "The Chase" is a salubrious synth and bass gem that struts with sexy confidence but remains coy thanks to its light key work and soft-focus delivery. "Inner Vision", meanwhile, is all about the D Train flavoured proto house vibes; cowbells, synth bass and a hook you'll be whistling for decades, it's an instant floor charmer. "Ivy's Dream", meanwhile, looks to LA and its thriving and creative beat scene for inspiration. Minor key soul and contemporary p-funk bass, it's a timeless jam that will work wonders early doors or very, very late nights.
