Review: Apparat's induction into the DJ-Kicks Hall Of Fame proved to be an engaging and at times hauntingly brilliant listen that was not stunted in any way by Sascha Ring's inexperience in the art of mixing two tracks together. The requisite vinyl sampler to accompany the mix allows your senses to fully appreciate the tracks produced especially for the mix by Ring himself and his buddy Telefon Tel Aviv. "Sayulita" is named in homage to the Mexican town Ring called home during the track's inception and removed from the mix the plaintive atmospherics really impress, combined with the organic Hebden-esque percussive 130bpm shuffle. The flipside commences with "Lengthening Shadows", an equally wistful sojourn through electronica from the aforementioned Telefon Tel Aviv that opts to meld the brooding ethereal atmospherics with an almighty industrial half step kick. Apparat's opening gambit from the DJ-Kicks mix, "Circles" rounds things off in equally spooky fashion.

Review: "Hitz" the bombastic collaboration betwixt Chase & Status' and Mercury seeking rapper Tinie Tempah was always destined for single status and equally ripe for reimagination. Here Delta Heavy and 16Bit are entrusted with the stems and opt for suitably rowdy deviations into drum and bass and dubstep. Ram newcomers Delta Heavy do a sterling job in flicking between the half step stutter upon which Tempah's vocal outbursts ride and their signature high energy tear out riddims. In contrast 16Bit discard with Tinie's contribution altogether, or maybe it gets mashed up along with the rest of the source material into an abrasive ED209 sized dubstep monstah with neat "tick, tick, tick" vocal snatches paying homage to the junglist days gone by.

Review: Tes La Rok launches his own long-awaited label, Noppa, which is set to blow the world by storm! This label will be the biggest thing to
happen this year in the dubstep scene. With tracks from himself and the mighty Clouds this can do no wrong. The a-side 'Shallow' is now
known as an anthem in the dubstep scene with its heavy deep sub intro and the famous vocal 'we should turn a light on', then when it
switches hold on to your hat. The b-side brings not 1 but 2 Tes La Rok goodies, 'Codeine' & 'Reggae', with both of these getting plays
from everyone in the scene all across the world. 'Codeine' is just pure fire with its gritty, techy wobble and huge sub this one is auto pull up.
'Reggae' starts off nice and dubby for the drop but don't let that fool you as halfway through it's got a wicked switch that will just blow your
mind. Watch out for more goodies coming from the Noppa camp.

Review: The freshly minted Egregore label launches in fine style here via an EP showcasing tracks from a quartet of label associates. Diggerz kicks things off via the clandestine creepiness of "Chat Noir", a trap instrumental with all the bass-weight and razor-sharp intensity of the moodiest dubstep, before Quasar peppers a stoned, head-nodding beat with murky electronics and a cavernous dub bassline. Tinky's "Hiii" is a snappy deep dubstep roller capable of inducing paranoid episodes, while Ourman's "Onward & Downward" is the EP's punchiest and heaviest moment - all clanking beats, stretched-out bass, low-end wobble and fizzing electronic motifs.
