Aline Umber & Maxime DB - "Disco Sex Machine" (feat Machine Woman) (4:06)
Sweely - "Do What U Want With Me" (6:07)
Welwert - "The Shooting" (7:12)
Review: The AirFunk crew is back for third dreamy deep house trip to the clouds with this new various artists EP featuring some of the genre's most revered names. Aline Umber & Maxime DB combine to start the EP off with 'Tribute To Malibu' which is a lovely hypnagogic sound that pairs a raspy bassline with pure filtered vocal hooks that drift in and out. They also offer the retro disco hose charms and Metro Area style colours of 'Disco Sex Machine' before Swell's jazzy house comes to the fore on 'Do What U Want With Me' and Welwert shuts down with a more grinding bit of house funk on 'The Shooting.'

Nicolas Amaro & Santi Avg - "Tecnonarin"
Nicolas Amaro & Santi Avg - "Patupri"
Nicolas Amaro & Wilowm - "Method"
Nicolas Amaro & Wilowm - "Pantole"
Review: It's good to hear from Nicolas Amaro again, this time on Overthink with a series of collaborations. First up is a pair of tunes with Santi Avg staring with the twitchy tech funk and cyber vibes of 'Tecnonarin.' It's a fresh and future cut with bounce in the drums. 'Patupri' then gets more edgy and dark with more frazzled bass before Wilowm steps up to work with Amaro on 'Method.' It's a loopy and low slung house cut with sleaze in its bones and plenty of raw claps. Last of all is 'Pantole', a nice melodic workout with sleek but musical bass and muscular drums.

Joey Anderson - "Escape" (5:21)
Wendel Sield - "Cultivate" (5:45)
Review: Inimeg Records label boss and general underground don Joey Anderson has always operated on the fringes of the deepest house and techno sounds. The New Jersey mainstay returns now with the Vanish EP on Obia Records while owner Wendel Sield also pops up with one tune. Anderson's trio ranges from the dusty, smoky basement dub of 'Vanish' to the ticking and glitchy minimal menace of 'Masked Ones' via the intense synth dystopia of 'Escape'. Sield's 'Cultivate' is a smeared, spacious cut with meandering pads and prickly percussion that zones you out for days.

Aspetuck - "As The Fog Rolls In" (6:01)
Anderson - "Aquabound" (6:45)
Watch Patrol - "Wandering In The Garden" (5:24)
Review: There's an abundance of crafty, ear-snagging gear coming out on Telomere Plastic these days and the steady stream of VA releases are a handy window into some of the freshest operators in the more creative ends of minimal tech house. Baenglund is having a jolly time of it tweaking out the freaky synth riffs on 'Funk Inspector', while Aspetuck creates a teasing, strung-out after hours sound which tips towards electronica on 'As The Fog Rolls In'. Anderson brings a little trance influence to the crooked groove of 'Aquabound', and Watch Patrol softens the edges with an acidic bubblebath on 'Wandering In The Garden'.

Melbourne Douglas - "Wheel & Come Again" (3:16)
Review: The Original Gravity label's Reggae Dynamite series sure is packed full of dance floor heat. This fourth volume turns up the temperature once more, starting with Dave Barker's 'Move It On Now' with spoken word mic work over a guitar laced riddim. Woodfield Rd Allstars bring plenty of big horn energy and hints of ska to their 'San Salvario Stomp' then appear again on the flip with the organ-lead sounds of mid tempo wobbler 'Norwegian Wood'. Melbourne Douglas completes the picture with 'Wheel & Come Again', another raw as you like and classic sound.

Palm Strings (6:39)
Review: Bart Skills is a veteran techno producer and Drumcode is a veteran techno label, but neither shows any signs of age here with Weska also joining in for a pair of highly potent and weaponised new cuts. They take up one side each and first is 'Something More' with its sweeping blasts of white noise, factory floor sound effects and unrelenting drums that will demolish any dancefloor. 'Palm Strings' then carries on the party with a more stripped-back sound initially, but eventually, the rising synths take over as the gritty drum loops pound away below. A pair of big room monsters for sure.

Guardian Angel (7:06)
Guardian Angel (Stimming remix) (7:13)
Guardian Angel (Hardt Antoine remix) (6:19)
Review: Henri Bergmann and Wennink's Guardian Angel marks an impressive debut on Crosstown Rebels, delivering a track that expertly fuses melody with depth. Bergmann's knack for sculpting rich, atmospheric landscapes is matched by Wennink's haunting vocals, creating a piece that feels both expansive and intimate. It's the kind of collaboration that hints at a shared vision without ever losing individual identity. The original track opens with textured percussion, slowly unfurling into an emotive soundscape as Wennink's vocals hover above like an ethereal guide. There's a melancholic undertone, but it's balanced by an uplifting drive, showcasing their ability to blend light and dark seamlessly. The remixes take Guardian Angel into uncharted territories. Stimming strips things back, opting for a more minimalist approach that sharpens the focus on rhythmic intensity, while his subtle use of effects amplifies the track's ethereal quality. It's a remix that feels lean but still full of intent. Hardt Antoine, on the other hand, plunges deeper into the shadows, pushing the bassline forward and letting synths stretch into eerie, sci-fi realms. His reworking is darker, stranger, and ultimately a satisfying close to the EP. With this release, Bergmann and Wennink add another strong entry to the Crosstown Rebels roster, proving that their partnership is one to keep watching.

Review: Sam Binga has established himself with boundary-pushing club tracks on labels like Critical and Exit and for this one teamed up with Welfare, a junglist and the Rua Sound label boss. Together they were inspired by the rugged beauty of Conamara, County Galway and began the project in a 300-year-old cottage overlooking the sea in a place free of creature comforts but rich in inspiration. Using a handheld recorder, the duo explored tidal caves, ruins and windswept coastlines while recording the ambient sounds they heard on the way and then turned them into these deeply textured dub compositions through live desk mixing at Dubkasm's studio.

Bnag - "Bang Out Of Order" (6:43)
Jack U Late - "Stay" (5:03)
King Wing - "4 Da Hunniez" (6:12)
Will Benson - "Sea Circus" (6:35)
Review: Mechanistic vector lines and cold, hard angles point acute on the latest V/A from Punchline, on which featuring artists don new guises and exchange blows with first-timers. Though our ears aren't trained well enough to be able to tell who is behind each of these smackers, we must say we're special fans of Jack U Late's analogue-jammed 'Stay', whose quickscoped FX and tenderised drums prove a surreal jaunt. King Wing's '4 Da Hunniez' is a comparatively heavy speed garage number garnishing the flip; the track could hardly prepare us for the dactylic 4-step closer 'Sea Circus', whose toothy lasers and julienned beats pack more umami than a packet of burnt crisps.

Boulderhead - "In The Cloud" (5:16)
Wooka - "Make Yourself Comfortable" (6:20)
DMX Krew - "Half Included" (4:52)
Jorg Kuning - "Imbolc" (4:24)
Review: "Right, OK!" Worm Records offer up their second various artists release for 2024, coming just a neat two months after September's inaugural release featuring Ruf Dug, Wallace, The Mole and Gallegos. Now the label turn their hand to a completely different league of artists, convoking Boulderhead, Wooka, DMX Krew and Jorg Kuning for yet another star-studded audio-strudel, spanning both chilled and heated ends of the spectrum. Boulderhead's A1 is the ludic highlight among the four, a charming Valley Girl voice peppering the vocal track with exceptional backhandedness; we hear talk of floating on clouds and an affect of casual acceptance behind the glitch-science, suggesting vibes of bounciness and breeze. Wooka goes sillier speed garage on 'Make Yourself Comfortable', a challenging charge given the track's otherwise rather jagged jam; Krew and Koenig close things off on a comparatively calm note, the former's B1 opting for a set of bruk-en beats and wet synth yaps, and the latter's 'Imbolc' quiescing with clement Rhodeses and homely drum machines.

Jay Lumen - "Stella Luce" (7:28)
Weska - "Other Places" (6:28)
Review: Drumcode's A-Sides compilation provides a timely opportunity to showcase the full range of its sonic repertoire, with Adam Beyer scrupulously selecting unreleased tracks that have taken prime position in his sets over recent months. Part four of the seventh volume features another bunch of heavy hitters such as UK AM specialist Alan Fitzpatrick, who collaborates with Hotflush head honcho SCB on the furious warehouse stomp of "Untitled" followed by fellow Brit Boxia who serves up the evocative and transcendental groove of "Final Call". On the flip, Hungary's Jay Lumen channels the heyday of '90s trance effortlessly on the euphoric "Stella Luce" while Canadian Weska closes out the EP by taking you aboard an acid express direct into the stratosphere on "Other Places".

Review: Annette Brissett grew up in the USA even though she is a noted reggae vocalist. Her influences are the likes of Otis Redding and the Wailers and she also plays several instruments. 'Hard To Find' is one of her most well-known tunes and it pairs electronic reggae with prog rock guitars and her own soulful vocals. It's curious and compelling and has some funk deep in its bones. The version is provided by Wackies Rhythm Force who strip the vocals and make more of the noodling prog guitars and dubby swagger.

Review: Most of the cuts showcased on the latest EP from Kai Alce's NDATL label - released in cahoots with Makin' Moves - have previously only been available digitally, while the others have never appeared at all. For that reason alone, the 12" is well worth checking out. Alce begins by offering up his warm, soulful and groovy vocal revision of Emdee Brown's "Again", before treating us to two versions of DJ Kemit and the Lounge Lizards' "Wake Up Stand" - a righteous vocal take and a "Hardubb" that brilliantly recasts it as a rolling late night bumper. Over on side B you'll find the broken beat/deep house fusion of Alce's rub of Malik Alston's "Promise Me Love" and a baggy, soulful and lilting rework of "Rise Up" by Wipe The Needle.

Teddy Bryant - "Time To Move"
WOZ301 - "Cotton Mouth"
Review: Riffing off of his recent sophomore album, street soul and R&B artist Teddy Bryant joins forces with German Funk producer WOZ301 to provide what's sure to be one of this summer's many dancefloor anthems. 'Time To Move' recalls the similarly pithy, glitzed-out disco-funk of the eponymous song by Carmen, except Bryant brings not only a lower register but also an excess of irony to the form, crafting a whole new narrative around the idea of movement, while letting on his excitement at the sight of us. On the B, WOZ301 puts together a Modern Funk banger with 'Cotton Mouth': heavy bass stabs paired with playful squealing synths.

Burning Spear & Roland Alphonso - "Door Peeper" (4:39)
Willie Williams - "All The Way" (5:58)
Review: An anthem with an early reggae riddim. Burning Spear was an alias for Winston Rodney, one of the most beloved Jamaican singers. 'Door Peeper' was originally released in 1969 on the Supreme label in Jamaica, and later on Bamboo in the UK. Rasta lyrics and musical motifs had been previously adapted for commercial release, but none sounded quite like this. Dissimilar to the fast instrumental reggae records that were resonating with white teenagers in England at the time, this was 'starkly uncompromising music that demanded to be taken on its own terms, or not at all.'

Highlights run rife from the opening flutters and skips of Conscious Species' 'Warming Up' to the walloping swing and funk of Pastaman's finale 'Take Your Time'. Review: Helmed by Toronto scene leader Cosmic JD, the Hypnotic Mindscapes label follows up on the promise of its first release with another sure shot of psychotropic club tackle for the trippier kind of party. Cosmic JD leads the way with the acid-flecked creeper 'Wandering Heights', while Weekend Logic follows up with the limber, snappily executed 'Streamlining Subconsciousness'. Review: Four weighty units of dubwise reggae come courtesy of Countryman, West Finga and Jeh. The star-sider, 'This Generation' by Countryman, is a banging enough contribution to this latest EP for Hornin' to receive several versions. A foreboding ballad for a generation beset by economic problems - "this generation got nothing to lose... there's gonna be problems!" - the veteran singer and soundsystem operator is adept as ever in delivering a high-consciousness message. Review: The Fruit Medley series has been hella juicy so far so we're glad another edition is ripe and ready for picking to kick off the label's 2025 season. This one features all newcomers starting with Cromie's 'Timereite', a chubby and clubby tech pumper with full throttle rhythms. Wilba's 'New Recipes' has lush synth smears over grinding low ends that echo early West Coast tech, and Darren Roach then gets a little deeper on the percolating 'Brettski Colectski'. Lazer Man's 'Time Of Ghosts' closes down with a mid-tempo, off-kilter house cut with steely drums and distant alien activity.

Review: When it comes to gospel-powered 21st century dance music, Detroit trio Dames Brown have been involved in many of the most memorable records - not least Sophie Lloyd anthem 'Calling Out' and Horse Meat Disco hook-up 'Message To The People'. Here they join forces with fellow Motor City musician Waajeed for another arms-aloft classic in the making. In its original form, 'Glory' blurs the boundaries between gospel disco and gospel house, with the trio's powerful vocals rising rubbery bass guitar, loose-limbed beats and riotous organ licks aplenty. It comes accompanied by two fine remixes: a stomping, piano riff-powered gospel house take from Rob and Lyric Hood's Floorplan project, and a stomping, thickset gospel disco 'dancing club dub' courtesy of Kelly G.

The latest split release from their VQ X series opens up with the spellbinding, micro dub meditation 'The Serpent & The Jaguar' from Deadbeat before swerving into the equally tender folds of Triptease & Yonatan Levi's 'Amniotic Jive'. Review: Renowned across the world as a concept store for the well heeled Parisians, Colette have plenty of form when it comes to releasing compilations and their latest, Colette Call, sees them once again invite Kill The DJ's self proclaimed House Music activist Clement Vache to curate proceedings. Featuring the likes of Dean Blunt, DJ Koze and Gramme, Colette Call is as fashionably diverse as one has come to expect from the Parisian hub and it's granted a 10" sampler with contributions from Discodeine and Whitey. Cedric Pilooski and Benjamin Morando's Discodeine project feature with "Aydin" which is lifted off their forthcoming second album; it should be quite the soiree on the evidence here with the voice of Tame Impala's Kevin Parker well suited to the playfully epic sounding arrangement. Complementing this, Whitey offers up another example of his sorely under-rated talent with the plangent punk funk of "No More Right Or Wrong".

It's a nice move and one that should guarantee that the record is taken even more seriously. Like much of the label's output, it boasts self-styled "outsider club music", this time from Casablanca-born DJ Booth and label co-founder Walrus. DJ Booth handles side A, first romping his way through a bleeping, intoxicating, peak-time techno club jam ("Defaulted (Industry)"), before reaching for the breakbeats, deep electronics and electro shuffle on the superb "The Door". On side B Walrus takes over. "Can't Get New Shoes" is a bubbly, acid-fired chunk of electro/techno crunchiness, while "Free City Light" is notably deeper jazzier and way more melodic.

Review: Chicago-bred, now Brooklyn-based beatmaker DJ Rude One is by now a firm part of the underground hip-hop scene He made his biggest impression with 2016 LP ONEderful which picked up critical acclaim and plenty of fans as well as shining a light on new names like Westside Gunn who have also become stars in their own right. They link up again here on this new 45rpm 'Supreme Trunks'. It's a low-slung beat with spacious drums and minimal detail apart from an edgy synth loopy that marries with the slow, purposeful mic work. Limited to just 400 copies, this is a real treasure.

Review: Japanese label Fukuinn comes back for round two almost one whole year after their impressive debut. After repping four lesser-known artists in 2020, this EP is another various artists offering that showcases some fresh electro talent. 'Do_1 & GGGG' open up with eh turbocharged, break-laced electro of 'Gazuro Dice' while 'Weith' goes for something much more smooth and cosmic on 'Dynamics Of Flow.' The energy levels keep building on the flip side with the gurgling bassline and harmonic tones of 'Tadan' before Caramel Chameleon ends on a big and celebratory high with flailing drum work and bright, celestial chords.

Donnoya Drake - "Only You" (4:05)
Woodfield Rd Allstars - "Shake Up The Dance" (2:52)
Review: The Original Gravity label is at it once again, combing through hidden pockets to serve up the finest nuggets from bygone days. The label is on a shuffling reggae tip this time around, with their latest single headed up by Lonnoya Drake singing a snappy version of the sentimental soul classic, 'Only You'. It's infectious dancefloor magic with heart to match its heat, setting up nicely for the heads-down get-down of 'Shake Up The Dance' by Woodfield Road All Stars. This sharp-shooting outfit lay down a killer instrumental with a nagging skank and some heavy-vibing organ lines sure to get the dance juiced up good and proper.

Review: There's a certain brand of 4x4 deep house that utterly slapssss. And that's exactly the business Toolroom Records are in - they're simultaneous experts at throwing us back to the sprawling garage paradises, while still lending modern, buildup-drop flairs to their productions. This V/A 12" sampler from a wider comp shows off choice buts from label mainstays, Essel, Guz, Qubiko, et al., showing off the best of what Italy's poppy deep house scene has to offer.

Review: Toolroom sits at the top of the tree when it comes to big room house music. Mark Knight's label has mastered the art of maximal sounds and this eighth volume of the Tooroom Sampler series is another one that will do plenty of damage. Essel's 'Sweat' is a rigid tech cut with stiff synths and libidinous vocals, then Shiba San and Ayarez get direct with shuffling tech house cut 'Twist It' complete with big skewed synths. Friend Within's 'Pilka' keeps the energy levels high with fizzing synth loops over textured drums and a fat bassline. Maur x Westend and Cami Bear close out with some brighter melodies to get hands in the air on 'Over.'

Review: Kommuna marks its tenth year of activity with this new dancefloor-focused record from various artists whose music "reflects the glimmer of hope that music provides during these dystopian times." Fabricio's 'Collateral Effect' opens with a strident nu-disco sound and retro-future chords that get you moving. Charleze's 'Rage Power' is another chunky disco stomper with some nice cosmic melody and Wooka's 'Tirty Dalk' hits harder with mechanical beats and churning bass. Mooglee's 'Things I Love' brings a more dreamy synth sound but still club-ready beats.

Review: What a winning combo this was. Two very well respected artists from the first generation of jungle d&b pioneers Alex Reece and Wax Doctor AKA Jazz Juice AKA Lunar Funk AKA Unit 1 AKA Fallen Angels, an act responsible for a modest body of work on Creative Wax throughout the 90s including these two gems from 95. 'Frequency' was a benchmark sci-fi tear-up at the time and remains just as breath-taking to this day. 'You Got Me' is a little icier in its charm. Stripped back and mystical, there's so much space between the elements you might get lost inside. Angelic.

Why We Dance (Kevin Swain & Terry Farley 'Angels take Control' remix) (5:14)
Review: This is a fine slab of cross-generational house hedonism, with all-round UK house legend Terry Farley (Faith, Junior Boy's Own etc) joining forces with XOYO resident Wade Teo and NYC-based spoken word artist Kameelah Waheed. The pair's original mix (side A) is a pleasingly nostalgic, forthright affair, sitting somewhere between acid-flecked DJ Pierre Wild Pitch productions of the mid-90s, piano-sporting early '90s piano anthems, hip-house and the chunkier end of Junior Vasquez's Sound Factory-era reworks. Over on the flip, Farley and Teo deliver the more tactile, warming, Frankie Knuckles style 'Lonely Dancer Remix', before enlisting DOP's Kevin Swain for the darker, drowsier and crunchier 'Angels Take Control Remix'.

Review: East End Dubs' Eastenderz label keeps on turning out hugely functional but also charming dub tech that is stripped back to its bones and laced with funk. This new various artist EP packs a powerful punch from the off, with Floog laying down some vital kicks and whirring machine sounds to send any floor into overdrive. Cosmjn then takes us to another planet with his dreamy pads and Vlad Arapasu's 'Egoland' sounds like a classic Terry Francis cut from the mid-90s, so in other words, pure fire. There's no mucking around on 'Mello', a razor sharp closer with hi hats that would cut though steel.

Review: An innovative EP emerges from the collaborative work of two accomplished music producers in Stockholm's Weirdvin, founder of the thriving Maraton label and here making a debut on Lyssna with the label's own Flord King. Their music finds a perfect common ground between electronic minimal funk and atmospheric textures, with overtones of ocean-faring trips on a voyage to the depths of the Baltic Sea. From the snappy percussion of 'Navigation' to the ambient synths of 'Oyster' via the nice and delicate drum loops of 'Telefunken' the more warped lines and turbulent bass of 'Bende' this is an EP with a unique sonic aesthetic.

It has recently done a deal with Get Physical Music to start reissuing some of its classics and a definitive (pun intended) back-cat comp is on the way soon as curated by Brazilian duo From House to Disco. It incudes four remixes they have done of some of their favourite gems, and those remixes now all get pressed up to this timeless standalone 12" which offers up some classy deep house with cool Chicago appeal. All four of these are dynamic but also emotive.

Review: We don't know much about the freshly minted Worm Records, but we can tell you that proceeds from the imprint's debut release will be donated to the Livetolove campaign, which raises funds for food banks. The EP itself is a corker, with a mix of rising stars and established heads providing genuine dancefloor goodness. Bristol-based Gallegos kicks things off with 'Rockin', a deliciously dreamy fusion of Balearic deep house loveliness and snappy, Chicago house-influenced machine drums, before long-serving producer The Mole goes deeper, smoother and jazzier and the wonderfully tactile 'Festern'. Over on side B, Tartan Records chief drops the extra-percussive, off-kilter drum workout 'Booster', while Ruf Dug drops a previously unheard rework of his Italo-disco inspired fave 'Manctalo Beach'. Review: The Kent label has a couple of fantastic releases lined-up this month and this is one of them. Girls groups have a special place in the soul world and after early 60s and pre-Motown girls like the Shirelles set the pace, the ensuing years saw cross pollination of r&b to soul via pop, Groups like Gigi and the Charmaines were a part of that and though they never saw huge chart success, they should have. 'I Don't Wanna Lose Him' will get you up and marching and 'Forget The Girl' o the flip from Walter Jackson is a tender and lovestruck anthem to romantic loss.

Review: SNTS sub-label Sacred Court serves up some real club-ready heat here with a new various artists EP that calls upon some real talent. HATELOVE & Wanton open up with the hellish, gothic, industrial techno banger that is 'Permanent Brain Damage' with its flat-footed drum stomps and fizzing walls of synth. There is no let up through visceral, caustic tunes from Hybral or the dark and heavy stomper that is Tim Williams's 'Son Of Perdition.' Last of all is the high-speed white knuckle ride that is VII Circle's 'Everything Or Nothing.' Spooky stuff just in time for Halloween.

Review: Originally part of a 1975 charity compilation LP raising money for environmental charities in California - which later became a collectors artifact changing hands for silly money (which didn't fit well with the Deja Vu Kid team) - so this Balearic nugget, the crown jewel of the album, was released on 7". More in keeping with its original spirit, not to mention its exquisite sound, there's no better way to share it again than on it's own 45 release at a fair price. 'Metropolis' and its B-side, 'Before I'm Gone', are pristine, hi-fi wilderness folk ditties, both of which evince an incredible mood of streamside Americana.

Review: A collaborative new single by sampletronic master Kieran Hebden (aka. Four Tet) and guitarist and composer William Tyler, two acclaimed musicians and both longstanding friends. Part of a recent spewing-forth of Hebden-adjacent material to hit the shelves after the artist's oft-reported-upon "agent of chaos" phase, these two tracks, pressed to a furtive 12", provide a neat counterpoint to that assessment. Rather than a pair of riddim bangers, the record flaunts Hebden's signature electronic textures and Tyler's guitar into a hypnotic, nominally dark soundwhirl, reminiscent of the earliest days of Text, but with a unique edge - a sonic corner never quite scoured before by either artist.

Review: Do you feel like dancing? A masterclass in floor-filling (the inevitable result of including exactly what you want your audience to do in the lyrics) Henderson & Whitfield's 'Dancin' To The Beat' is an early example of psychologically affective music from New York - ironically hailing from an era in which city-dwellers didn't need much encouragement to dance in the first place. But hey. On 45rpm vinyl for the first time, both the repetitious vocal and remix-worthy instrumental versions are on there, giving this prime cut yet another fighting chance to make itself known.

This one with Woodfield Road All Stars is as smooth as they come. Both Wajeed and Ladymonix have fresh signature sounds and they collide both into something more party-starting than you might expect from each in solo mode. 'Work That' is bumping house with masterfully smeared synth work and edgy rap vocals all getting things going. 'Did You Do A Gig Last Night' is a deep but slamming house sound with traditional chord vamps bringing the heat and 'Extravaganza' then takes it down again into heady, cavernous dub house territory with intimate vocal whispers adding soul. 'Work That' (Winston Dream remix) is a thrilling broken beat version with sun-drenched pads and cosmic leads.

J& E Project do just that here by reworking her belting diva classic 'So Emotional'. First off they extend it with more drums for the dance floor, some 90s piano house chords layered in and splashy cymbals to make it all the more immediate. The vocal remains iconic and is sure to be sung back whenever this one gets played. A radio edit and instrumental also feature on this flashy pink vinyl.

Jeff The Fool's 'Don't Be Blue' is deep and laid back with a painful sense of longing in the samples, while Jerk Boy brings another brilliant bluesy sample to 'All My Love'. GMGN soundtracks an early evening dance on the Med at sundown and on the flip there's blissed-out piano loveliness, loopy, soul-drenched house and jazz-tinged tackle from Wurzelholz.
