The B-side shifts the mood with 'DORF,' while 'Morning Sunshine' evokes the anticipation of a classic orchestral interlude. This one is full of goodness for all sorts of settings.

The source music was made as part of the sessions for his last album "All Melody" and honed during live performances. As fans will know, "All Armed" here has been a staple of those live sets for some time and is 12 minutes of plaintive piano playing and wallowing synths that will sink you deep into the German's expressive world.

'Crocs On The Plough' is industrial and experimental in its production - earth-shattering bass, police sirens, and soot-black synths, but background chords bring light as the vocals are delivered with guttural rawness. On the flip, the OSVMVSM version slows things right down to a crawl and the distorted synths and crunchy textures take on even more otherworld character.

Review: Ambient jazzdance megastar Floating Points continues to explore the collaborative and multi-instrumental aspect of his craft, following up his most recent splash collab with Pharoah Sanders here. 'Intimate Immensity' is a recording made in response to Tomaga's 2021 original album of the same name; the UK experimental electronic duo are a low-key pair, but their experimental free jazz works have taken the most miserly heads by storm in recent years. The remix is also a collaboration with one Marta Salogni, the prolific Italian sound engineer whose mixing and mastering credits include Bjork, Planningtorock and Animal Collective, making her one of the industry's most central go-tos. On the B is the ambient piece 'A Call From The Eaves', reminiscent of the lo-fi ambient works of Gigi Masin or Cabaret Du Ciel.

Tracks like 'The Delta' and 'The Dossier' create a meditative, eerie backdrop, while 'Orange Light' and 'Voyage' highlight the hallucinatory journey of its protagonist, with the latter infusing a touch of psychedelic guitar. While it's not a traditional, action-driven score, the pulsating synths of 'Nung River' and dissonance of 'Chef's Head' bring tension to the forefront. Its final moments with 'Finale' bring reflection to a movie that explores the boundaries of duty and sanity. Review: It's the 42nd Millennium and the Era Indomitus, the Age of the Dark Imperium. Humans have launched a galaxy-wide, decade-spanning crusade to win back worlds that were lost to nemeses and save the species, and civilization, from certain doom. We don't know about you, but given current events, we can only hope things make it so far in the real world. Back to video gaming, and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 was rightly praised for its playability, scene setting visuals and score, by Nima Fakhrara and Steve Molitz. Like the third-person shooter itself, the music is thick with atmosphere and dark enough to reach out and touch the density. Moody and apocalyptic, this probably isn't for the dinner party, but there's a time and a place nonetheless.

Review: Fan Club Orchestra originated in Brussels in the late 90s and evolved through collaborative performances across Belgium and neighbouring countries. Rooted in DIY principles, they thrived during a time when contemporary arts spaces embraced experimentalism without the constraints of funding or audience expectations. Their performances blended informality with spectacle and channelled the experimentalism of New York's 1960s downtown scene. Review: Faten Kanaan's fifth LP Afterpoem once again brings smudgy and bittersweet sounds to playful tracks that rework coldwave and resets it in intriguing new forms. It is another deep and poignant album from an artist who by now excels at exactly that. The lead single 'Ard Diar' landed back in November and is named after the courtyard in traditional Damascene houses. It reflects on the relationship between architecture and memory with haunting pads and minimalism. "It's these small moments, often taken for granted, that echo the deepest," says the artist of the inspiration for what is a very personal and moving album.

Review: If you've not seen Gabrielle Provaas' innovative and heartfelt documentary Onzinchtbaar we implore you to do so. The film hones in on 'invisible heroes' responsible for keeping a country clean on a day-to-day basis. From hospitals to streets, schools to offices, this is the workforce that ensures the cogs can move and many more people can get stuff done. So what exactly does that sound like when Fatima Yamaha is drafted for the score? Opening on 'Het Begrijpt Je' might suggest the kind of patient music that accentuates attention to detail. That's certainly true at times, like the staggeringly beautiful piano number 'Hooikoorts' or the drones and twinkles of 'Hotel Haast'. But then we also have more hyperactive moments, and noises to accompany those - 'Veeg Life' and its bouncy, club-ready elec-tech, 'Kissey's leftfield deep house, 'Schiet Zo In Je Rug' and its strange, fidgety epic-ness.
