Review: The latest spin from Cambridgeshire-based LRK Records is something of a touchy-feely delight. It comes courtesy of Washington, D.C-based modern soul maestro Eric Scott, whose expansive sound is slick, soulful, polished and pleasingly emotive. For proof, check the smooth, soulful positivity of A-side 'Peace Bomb', a plea for global peace whose musical backing - simmering (synthesized) orchestration, tactile vocals, undulating Hammond lines, languid drums and his own delicious bass - is almost perfect. He offers up something similarly smooth - if a little more groove-based - over on the flip, where 'Reach Out For Me' is as loved-up as they come.
