Styrax Special 4
Styrax Special 4 (yellow transparent vinyl 12")
Cat: STYRAXI/STYRAX J. Rel: 09 Dec 11
154 - "Daze" (3:25)
Damon Lamar - "Rising Sun" (7:57)
Claro Intelecto - "Signifier" (6:19)
Lowtec - "Dat America" (6:48)
Review: Styrax's alphabetized Specials series reaches its fourth volume (or Styrax I / Styrax J to use the correct parlance) with four typically sumptuous examples of archival house. 154's delightfully fuzzy "Daze" opens proceedings, which will cause much misty eyed reminiscing for anyone who indulged in the 2004 Delsin released album Strike it first appeared on. Alongside it, Damon Lamar's luxuriously paced "Rising Sun" is borrowed from Tetrode Music, its intoxicating swirls of kaleidoscopic textures every bit as potent as when it first surfaced. The flipside tracks are naturally in a similar vein with some 2003 bounciness from Claro Intelecto complemented by "Dat America", Lowtec's 1999 jam for the Playhouse imprint.

Selador Decade Vol 1
3D & Robert Owens - "Known Love" (7:51)
Olivier Giacomotto & Quivver - "Snailblazer" (6:40)
Dave Seaman & Hernan Cattaneo - "Napkin Knowledge" (7:28)
Argia & Jepe - "Salitre" (7:38)
Review: In celebration of their tenth birthday, Selador marks the occasion in style with a four-track collaborative EP, featuring tracks from 3D, Robert Owens, Olivier Giacomotto, Quivver, Dave Seaman, Hernan Cattaneo, Argia, and Jepe. The opening track, 'Known Love', is a deep, pulasting house tune that feels like an instant classic, perhaps thanks to the soulful, pop-tinged vocals - think LCD soundsystem meets Four Tet. 'Snailblazer', the second track on the EP, takes a much darker turn, with a chugging, EBM-esque feel. Full-bodied and complete with obscured vocals, this is the kind of track to pull out your bag when it's time to really get stuck in. On the B-side, 'Napkin Knowledge' draws on the glistening synths of eurodance, yet still securing the melodies to a grounded bassline and rhythm section. 'Salitre' is the perfect closing track, rising up in a gleaming, ecstatic melody, before delicately returning to ground level. A varied yet firmly cohesive collaborative release - the perfect way for Selador to kick off their 2023 catalogue.

Bassywax - "Amona Left Us Overnight" (5:33)
Mathys Lenne - "Error" (5:14)
Review: Welcome to the Slippery Yard, a new label out of Spain which is sure to turn heads with this fine first release - a psychedelic blend of techno from various artists. A Morgan's 'Air' is urgent and cosmic a la Jeff Mills, Dc11's 'It's All An Act' layers up deft synth details with sleek linear rhythms and Judy's 'Bide Luzea' is a hurried, pulsing, late-night mental techno trip. A further deep and heady trio of tunes features on the B-side with Bassywax's sub-aquatic sound world on 'Amona Left Us Overnight' taking the headlines for us.

Binary Codes EP

A Paul &,Dextro - "Rough" (5:28)
Red Rooms - "Binary Codes" (5:03)
Ramon Tapia - "Ratio" (5:32)
ARKVS - "Decoration Drugs" (5:46)
Review: Heavyweight quattro-techno from A Paul, DJ Dextro, Red Rooms, Ramon Tapia and Arkvs for Planet Rhythm. Each track serving as merciless hoisters in the vein of 'Rough' techno, the A1 is deserving of the name, bringing scraping hi-hat blurs and gulping knocks to a mean mix. Deadened, unfeeling, callous calculation follows on the follower 'Binary Codes', while Tapia tabulates a 'Ratio' on the algo-rhythmic bleeper that ensues on the B1. Finally, 'Decoration Drugs' brings a prime movement, its facelessly numbered breakdowns and shuffles assuring us that there is indeed no end to off-planet production processes such as these.

A Philstrom - "My Cartoons" (5:20)
Noah Gibson - "Derailing" (6:26)
D-Man - "Hydro RMX" (5:06)
A Rashim & H Bergqvist - "Tales Of Ordinary Madness" (5:18)
Review: While we obviously respect and adore the likes of Adam Beyer or even Skudge, the Swedish house and techno scene has been lacking new, young talent over the past five years. There is clearly no problem in the more mainstream department, but cities like Stockholm have not produced the same sorts of scenes such as, say, other towns like Bergen or Oslo. The Trouble In Paradise crew are set to resolve this issue, however, and they have certainly started this mission on the right foot. Now on their third release, an alluring collaborative effort from the young label's main members and associates, the imprint must continue its path to glory if they are to make a real mark. "My Cartoons" by A Philstrom is capable of such a feat thanks to its understated yet ridiculously effective Chicago roll, a bubbly, pseudo acid cut that can be left on repeat for hours, and the same goes for the equally raw and organic techoid sounds of "Deraling" from Noah Gibson. The B-side is graced by the excellent "Hydro RMX", a lo-fi techno swarmer from D-Man that reminds is of Neil Landstrumm's wacky excursions, and finishes off with the equally excellent "Tales Of Ordinary Madness" by, yes, Abdulla Rashim under the 'A Rashim' moniker, and H Bergqvist. This is pure class - don't miss it!

Terrence Dixon - "Daily Routine"
Obsolete Music Technology - "Past Virtue"
Plural - "07"
Jamal M - "Fine & Mellow"
Windimoto - "Friday Night: UBQ"
Review: A hefty double 12" from Generator features a slew of basement techno bombs from both sides of the Atlantic (oh, and Australia). From the pounding, relentless throb of Abstract Science's "The Grinder" to the shuffling groove of "Detroitism" by DJ-T 1000, the eight tracks cover the full breadth of techno's rich sonic landscape. Other highlights include the broken beats and woodblock percussion on Plural's "07" and the more experimental vibe of "Fine & Mellow" by Mathematics boss and general Chicago underground legend, Jamal M. An unmissable collection of tracks packaged in highly collectable artwork by Alan Oldham, who was also responsible for the superbly illustrated Defenders Of The Deep House World EP that surfaced on Third Ear a few months back.

Andreas Kraemer & Shadym - "Reflect" (6:29)
DAVE The Drummer & Phil Kershaw - "Bassline Sunset" (6:55)
Review: Hydraulix Records continues to push the boundaries of ravey techno with Va03, a four-track EP that transports listeners back to the early '90s warehouse scene with its infectious energy and relentless beats. Side 1 kicks off with Acerbic's 'Deep In Your Mind,' a heavy sci-fi pounder that channels the essence of early '90s techno rave vibes. With nods to the big Belgium sounds and a prominent Hoover sound, this track is an instant banger that commands attention on the dancefloor. Following suit, Minor Dott's 'What You Callin Acid' delivers a menacing and sinister atmosphere, characterized by its mechanical and demonic undertones. It's a track that exudes raw power and intensity, perfect for those craving an adrenaline-fueled sonic experience. On Side 2, Andreas Kraemer & Shadym team up to bring us 'Reflect,' a percussive and loopy journey through hardcore rave sounds. The track pulsates with energy, immersing listeners in a hypnotic groove that's impossible to resist. Finishing things are Dave The Drummer & Phil Kershaw's 'Bassline Sunset,' a big room rave techno anthem that hits all the right notes. With its infectious bassline and euphoric atmosphere, this track is destined to ignite dancefloors worldwide. Each track on this EP offers a unique sonic experience, making it a must-have for fans of the early 90s rave scene.

Danton Eeprom - "L'Homme Canon" (5:59)
Review: Stop yourself in for another rugged ride through electro and techno from the vanguard here as Thisbe Recordings serves up a fifth fantastic slab of wax. It's a fine various artists affair that kicks off with Acid Washed and the legendary Arnaud Rebotini. Their 'Brandtaucher' is a polished metal and electro tinged disco cut with bleeping melodies. Seb El Zin then keeps it real raw with 'Lingua Minimalista' and the energy doesn't dip on Rambal Cochet's flip side opener 'Oseary Drakoulias' races to the star on slap funk bass and cruising melodies. Mount Kismet's 'Sirocco' rides on rugged arps and last of all Danton Eeprom's 'L'Homme Canon' slows right down to an electro-funk and boogie down workout.

Dead Hush (12")
Cat: BROS 006. Rel: 12 Nov 14
AD\\HH - "Dead Hush"
AD\\SS - "Security Breach"
AD\\DC - "Sonic Erosion"
Review: By now you should be more than familiar with the concept central to the Brothers label, which has seen a succession of techno artists collaborating with like minded contemporaries. Mancunian techno brutalists AnD are the main players on this latest edition, swiftly following up that LP for Electric Deluxe with a 12" of joint productions featuring Headless Horseman, Sunil Sharpe and D Carbone. Though typically dystopian in sound, there's an element of restrain to the opening HH hookup "Dead Hush", whilst the nicely swung rhythms make a change from the relentless techno thud. On the flip Sunil Sharpe leads AnD down a mind bending acid wormhole on "Security Breach" whilst REPITCH artist D Carbone turns matters towards straight up warehouse techno on the finale "Sonic Erosion".

Review: Adiel continues to demonstrate her importance in the Italian deep techno firmament with this incredible link up with the mighty Donato Dozzy. As you might well expect from the meeting of these two minds, the results are spellbinding, leading in with a collaborative track entitled "Cavallina" on the A side. It's a pattering percussive meditation that strikes a fine balance between functional DJ tool and richly rendered drum study - impeccable minimal techno with an organic pulse. Dozzy goes it alone on the B side with a more mechanical workout - "Cavallina Matta" uses a sparse palette but makes the few ingredients speak volumes through careful sequencing and patient modulation.ation.

Modulator AKA Freddie Fresh - "Promars" (5:27)
Review: EPM20 Ep2 goes off on an electro tangent here. On this one, we have veteran producer Cisco Ferreira aka The Advent teaming up with his son Zein on the ferocious electro dystopia of "Strangeform" and as if that was not enough, another legend, the one and only Carl Finlow appears next with the abstract, cybernetic beats of "Optogenetic". Over on the flip, we have someone by the name of Detroit's Filthiest (quite an accolade!) who is in fact Motor City stalwart Julian Shamou (Motor City Electro Company) known for his work as 313 Bass Mechanics or Digitek, and longstanding hero of the Midwest Freddie Fresh should need no introduction; his contribution here under the Modulator alias is the deep mind IDM journey "Promars".

Review: The Greyscale label builds on a fine first EP with a second various artists affair that showcases a fresh take on tech house. Francisco Aguado opens up with 'Vertical Time,' a warm, deep rooted roller for those early evening sets. Giacomo Pellegrino offers a much more heavy and grainy dub techno cit with some deft vocals samples hooking you in. Dubonautik's 'Lost' is a more twisted dub with late night energy and an underlying sense of menace before Heavenchord closes out with the most seductive tune of the lot. It has strident, kicking kicks but drowsy chords and a smoky basement feel that is truly magic.

Amir Alexander - "Cypher"
Chris Mitchell - "213 NI"
DJ Spider - "New World Resistance"
Dakini9 - "Rollercoaster To Nowhere"
Review: Volume four of the Vanguard Sound series from Anunnaki Cartel label sees Amir Alexander and Chris Mitchell once again open the invitation to the East Coast house innovators. This time it's Plan B pair DJ Spider and Dakini9 who line up alongside the label founders with Amir Alexander setting a rough and rugged tone on opening track "Cypher". Rasping kicks and a killer bouncing analogue bassline drive the track forwards as Alexander gradually weaves in a searing synth tone which increases with smudged incandescence until a vocal sample offers some brief politically tinged respite before the synth tone kicks back in. Mitchell is in equally bullish mood on "213 NL" a straight up drum track that ratchets up into full blow acid filled psychedelia as the final third hones into view. On the Plan B side, Spider drops one of his trademark lurching rhythms, with skittering drums traversing the gritty lower frequencies of "New World Resistance" which is filled with the sort of vocal samples that justifies the title. "Rollercoaster To Nowhere" from Dakini9 is just as impressive, retaining the murky mood yet driven by it's own almost drunken percussive swagger.

Review: The sixth release in the 303 Pattern series marks the first time artists' identities are revealed. What doesn't change is the fact this is a powerful 12" of hard-hitting, hypnotic and atmospheric acid techno with the legendary Roland TR-303 at its core. Alien Rain makes his debut on the label with 'Holosexual's' raw drums and distorted acid lines, Akkaelle's 'Acid Mood' delivers funky, bouncy techno energy with atmospheric depth and Sour returns with another hypnotic, high-intensity bomb. Closing in style is Dima Gastroller who drops a banger of an acid techno track that should come with a health warning for anyone with a weak heart.

Review: Fresh off the back of Cryptographic's intense 'Echo' release comes this fitting V/A from the ever-intriguing Swiss experimental 170 label Re:st. Music to realign our Covid-ravaged chakras to 'Re:align' introduces three new names to the label; Alternate Current steams out of the gates with a dub techno juggernaut 'Borrowed Language' while Dreadmaul & Tobe:n whip a rhythmic stampede that's screaming to be unleashed on a big system with 'Homunculus'. ANNE kicks off with the deep, thudding kicks of 'Coral Reefs' complete with lush hits to smooth the groove. There is more weight and intensity to the oversized hi-hats ringlets on Mike Konstantinidis's 'Apocalypse', DJ Plant Texture layers in plenty of gritty and grime to his gritty 'Swingers' and Jarrod Yeates goes for a twisted after-party vibe on his intense and unrelenting 'Sesh Gremlin', with many more highlights besides.

Review: Hyperdrive's label debut was a biggie that brought together old and new-school techno on one fizzing EP. The follow-up comes soon after and this time makes no bones about being a Rave Revival. Anthrophia's 'The Voice' kicks off with what is a hefty breakbeat cut with edgy rave stabs and slamming bass. Dimension 23 - 'Fascination' (Seb G mix) then takes a more stripped-back approach with turbocharged synths layered up over silky drums. Centuras brings plenty of bright, euphoric prog energy to the urgent drum funk of 'Jizz' and last of all Dimension 23's 'The Eagle' then kicks out more dusty old-school breaks with machine gun synth fire. A potent EP, make no mistake.

Review: BLKRTZ is back in action with this riveting new EP from UK bass expert Appleblim, who himself is now resident in the German capital. Dub Conference Vol 1 features the atmospheric and off-kilter beats of 'Warsaw', which goes on to receive an enchanting remake for ancient ritual rites by Shackleton. Over on the flip, he delivers something more straight ahead in the form of 'Bladed Shogun' which is a hypnotic and bass-driven affair that uses synth textures drowned in complex effects chains to create a momentum reliant less on rhythm and to impressive effect. Label boss Deadbeat lends his expertise on the remix up next, taking the track into typically cavernous and glacial territory.

Ignacio Arfeli and Kaspar bring Portuguese fire and German glaciations to a unipolar techno A-side each, with 'Never Look Back' shooting a hideous glower at Orpheus especially with a "don't you ever look back" jet-breakage of the sound barrier, precipitating a massive techno drop, of course. The A-side features two of Arkajo's most compelling dance-floor tracks, with both offering a propulsive groove and warped and dubbed-out basslines. On the flip side, Dorisburg and Efraim Kent (who are here making their debut on Aniara) present the darker vibes of 'Data Smuggler' which rides on broken beats and has real menace in the airwaves. It complements the A-side with a more deep mood and hypnotic rhythm that will be pure dancing bait.

Here the personae grata in question are a crack team of trusted delegates, known by the respective codenames AS Groove, Driahn, Monile and Nikon; each artist-negotiator delivers their own firebrand sonic missive in quick, electrific unison, appeasing the collective ear through a four-point transmissive treaty. Either breaks-laden or bleep-laden sound is stipulated depending on which fine-print line you read and/or which finely-etched groove you play; only track four, 'Seismic', trigger the break(beats) clause.

Review: Pasquale Ascione and Davide Carbone are veterans of the techno scene. Not only do they run Repitch Recordings and 3TH Records but also of course, produce music. Repitch Fast Forward outlines that each producer has a side of the record to themselves. Ascion opens with 'Hurry', a killer hard and melodic burner that features vocals from the iconic rave track C'hantal's 'The Realm'. 'Himmerbone' reminds us of Johannes Heil track that we won't give any clue too. For the second side, hard techno is on the menu. They are relentless, mechanical and industrial, these are designed with one mission in mind: to destroy the dancefloor as you raise your techno fist. Review: Italian crew Repitch Recordings, made up of Ascion, D. Carbone and new school industrial-noise heavy weight Shapednoise usher in the second release in their 10Inch series, which launched in impressive fashion with the split release from Marcelus and Markus Suckut. Using their previous works as a references point, the production of "Basic Impact" suggest more Ascion and D. Carbone input than Shapednoise, as undulating low end grooves, rhythmically delayed hi-hats and traditional techno drums share a similar cadence to Xhin's earlier work on Stroboscopic Artefacts, while the industrialised drum sequences and scorching panoramic noise-scapes of "Metempsychosis" make it undeniably known Shapednoise helmed the controls of this production.

Audio Injection - "Charge"
Dax J - "From The Grave"
Cleric - "Natural Process A"
Franco Gonzalez - "Submarine"
Review: Emerging from nowhere earlier this year, the LDN WHT label made quite the impression with their inaugural release incorporating full on productions from Bleaching Agent, Viktoria Rebekah, Krill Music's Espen Lauritzen and under rated Dutchman Charlton. The vinyl only London operation offer a similarly intriguing selection for release number 2 with Audio Injection and Dax J the headline draw alongside up and comers Franco Gonzales and Cleric. The presence of David Flores' Audio Injection project is naturally quite impressive and "Charge" is typical of the booming heavyweight material the Los Angeles resident has been filtering through his own Droid imprint. Ear To The Ground's Dax J is on fine form with "From The Grave" which takes a frenetic approach to taut acid tinged raw techno that still finds room for moments of mechanised emotion. Down town "Natural Process A" sees Cleric draw on the melodic approach of 'BFC' era Carl Craig within a modern rhythmic framework whilst Argentinean Gonzales demonstrates a looseness in drum programming that immediately catches the ear on "Submarine".

Review: From the minds of Direct Beat and Detroit Bass Classics, comes the first initial compilation of electro/techno heat. "Electro In The Key Of Detroit Vol 1" presents 4 proven dance floor dope and record crate staples that provide the hungry ears of masses the groove to move. A Side features two sure-fire steppers - a rare AUX 88 voyage entitled "Phantom Power" and Blak Tony's tempo-pushing "Holla Holla" finally see the light of day on this wax collectable, giving praise to Motor City footwork culture. On the flip, DJ K-1's "Erase The Time" rocked the airwaves and global clubs with its signature thumping style laced beneath alien-like melody and repetitive vocal structure while Posatronix's mutant-rhythm mantra, "Pure Techno Sound" pulls the weight of Detroit's street dance roots down to the origin of how to boogie in space. This collection of re-issued jams and new explorations is the must-have for the electro/techno & bass aficionado.

Swiss veteran Deetron presents 'Pulse' and 'Corazon', and again goes deep, while DJ Deep's 'What's Going On' and 'Transition' reflect his Parisian rave roots and sophisticated style.

Review: Jaunt continue their 10 year celebrations with another strong cast of remixers taking their vision of techno even further out from the point of origin. Markus Suckut is up first, remixing AWOL with a blissful, almost Balearic leaning version that places piano chords front and centre. BNJMN takes on Artefakt's "Wanderings", digging it into the undergrowth for a gritty but submerged beatdown. Aubrey brings a little of his wildstyle charm to Luke Hess' "TDY", all bouncing drums, raining acid and delightfully wonky chords. Then Tripeo rounds things off with a boisterous take on Deep'a & Biri's "Pilgrim", using clattering drums and evocative atmospherics to create an epic trip.

Review: OMEN Recordings's next release is a big one that unites Axkan and Duellist on the same slab of wax. They take care of one side each and we're told the inspiration for their sounds was making a "shared response to the turmoil of global conflicts." Duellist kicks off and suggests with his offerings that he is anxious, unsettled and in fight mode because 'Oxidative Stress' is front-foot techno with monstrous bass energy. 'Stains Of Time' is another one with brash drums and perc and plenty of tension, then Axkan offers the hypotonic loops of 'Warfare' and broken beat menace of 'Thermobaric.

Review: Belgian imprint PRR! PRR! Follows up some great releases by homeboy Maoupa Mazzochetti and DJ Coquelin with the Battle Break various artists compilation that shows off their new breed of recruits. Expect some nefariously rusty and dust coated lo-fi EBM mutations of the techno battle tools kind; sold already? Take for instance the explosive synth bass funk explosion of B-Ball Joints "Battle Joints 1", the early 90s rave referencing and absurd sample collage that is Bischepiehls' "Dancemix 2016" and Venderstrooik's "Tamahatu Appapa Lagos" which bears an uncanny resemblance at times to the afore mentioned Mazzochetti. Sadly he does not appear on this release but rest assured there's still more goodies: honourable mentions to Evil Grimace and their gabber mimicking and L.A.A.M.'s dusty house workout "Don't LOL".

Review: Opening their doors every Saturday for mind-altering shock treatment, Power Station has been giving their raging punters a potent dose of megawatt reality. Their curatorial expertise has established an institution that will now extend the mythical energy generated with a record label in the form of annual limited 12"/digital compilations, grouping tracks that have already become the club's signature tunes. Resident, booker and co-founder Kris Baha finds himself on both sides of the inaugural disc, with the ball of confusion solo production 'Something Something, and again as Heavy Concern in collaboration with Otologic's Nick Murray, a name synonymous with the Melbourne club circuit being one quarter of the Animals Dancing massive. Young gun Disrute captures the optimum warm up set with the shape shifting slow burner 'Ka-Bu' while scene veteran and Haul Music boss Mike Callander discovers a new lab mutation of sci-fi soundtrack, damaged funk and cerebral house.

Review: Tolga Baklacioglu's releases may not be all that frequent, but when they do arrive they're always worth a listen. Your Secret Face is his first outing of 2018 and sees him join forces fast-rising Russian artist Dee Grinski. The latter's stylish - and heavily distorted - spoken word vocals can be heard on the EP's opening and closing tracks, with the latter - an 11-minute experimental epic that could feasibly soundtrack nuclear Armageddon - also benefitting from her drowsy, improvised singing. No doubt she contributed heavily to the EP's instrumental cuts, too, which are bleak, fuzzy and industrial in the best possible way.

Flowing Through Time
Review: Otherwise known as one half of the Decas duo, Berlin-based Battista strikes out on his own with Records Hold Memories, an EP of thumping, raw techno tracks in the Restoration/Livejam vein, all recorded straight to tape. "From The Otherground" is all heaving kicks, a chugging angular bassline and distorted vocals buried deep in the mix; John Swing's remix meanwhile subtly flips the energy with a more rolling bassline with the kinds of loose drums that gather energy like a steam train. On the flip, "Natural Instinct" offers more unhinged 4/4, building up to a crescendo of cymbals and vocal noise; "Flowing Through Time" is even more manic, accelerating things up to 134BPM through a flurry of claps, snares and looping bass.

Review: Proper techno here for proper techno heads as Leyla offers up a various artists EP of the highest order. The percussive clatter and clanging drums of Remco Beekwilder's 'Industrofunk' are designed for main room destruction. Grindvik & OnScreenActor go for a caustic world of rusty synth textures and clattering drums on 'Perfectly Crushed!' and CASKO's 'Revenge Spells' bangs the box with manic vocal loops and edgy sirens building paranoid techno tension. Beekwilder himself kicks off proceedings with the nightmarish pressure of 'Rhythm Allegiance', and then we get a merry romp through all kinds of pile-driving gear from artists like Rove Ranger, Sedvs, Parano, Alarico and Jacobworld. Review: Modeselektor always promised that their 50 Weapons imprint would cease operations once it hit a half-century of releases. Given that this is the much-admired 42nd release, it would seem that the end is nigh. Naturally, they'll keep dancing till the bitter end, and here present two tried-and-tested floor-fillers from Benjamin Damage & Doc Daneeka, and Bicep. The latter's "Closing Sequence" naturally doffs a cap to rave-era sweatiness, but boasts beats, melodies and electronic textures more reminiscent of the short-lived progressive breaks sound (look it up, kids). Damage and Daneeka, meanwhile, lay down a deliciously dubby, hypnotic chunk of Germanic tech-house built around bustling, bouncy beats, relentless organ loops and shimmering, swirling synthesizers.

The Catalonia based duo kick off with "Northern Response," a driving progressive anthem that is sure to tear up any of the big rooms it booms out over this summer. As per usual, the beats are murky and the melodies swamped, ingeniously blending shards of techno together with bursts of electro. Bronze Teeth - "Easygroove" (4:30)
Review: The Rubber label may proudly hail from the iconic Lowlands area known as Den Haag, yet their sphere of influence clearly stretches much further. The debut edition of their World Of Rubber series featured a rare production from Mannequin boss Ale Adriani, whilst this freshly issued second volume canvasses contributions from the UK and Belgium. First up is secret Amsterdam weapon Robert Bergman, laying down some deviant acid box action in the shape of "Broadcast From Ceres" which dovetails nicely with the more psychedelic overtones of "Masquerading As Stars" from Brussels-based duo Tav Exotic. The master Das Ding opens the B-side with the subaqueous "Divebomb" whilst the unheralded Safe Swim plunges into the deep end of experimentation on "Pictures Of Skies". It's left to Diagonal pair Bronze Teeth to wrap up matters with the rip snorting squat party techno of "Easygroove" which was clearly produced with The Hague in mind.
